Le principe de Reynaud
The principle of Reynaud proposed by Alain Reynaud in a geohistory of ancient China bases itself on the idea of the unification of a world polycentrique by a dynamic suburb in a set subjected to a strong outside pressure. By knocking down the signs of the model, this text expresses to this principle, a "anti-principle of Reynaud" : the absence of outside threats facilitates the polycentriques configurations. The European geohistory constitutes a beautiful example. Franklinothrips strasseni Mound & Reynaud, 2005, sp.n.
Franklinothrips strasseni sp.n. Holotype female: Nepal, Kathmandu, 12.iv. 1976 (BaroniUrbani & Wittmer) [Naturhistorisches Museum Basel] Female: Body and legs dark brown, tarsi yellow (Fig. 12); antennal segments III–IV clear yellow, remaining antennal segments brown; forewing pale at base anterior to second vein but with posterior area and jugal lobe shaded, a transverse dark band extends to first cross vein then the wing is dark posterior to second vein, extreme apex dark including apical ring vein (Fig. 23). Head wider than long, cheeks rounded and recessed into prothorax, prolonged in front of eyes; diameter of posterior ocelli twice that of fore ocellus; vertex with 4 pairs of postocular setae, median pair longer than posterior ocellus; maxillary palp II 3.5 times longer than III. Antennae long (Fig. 31), segments III and IV with sensorium extending almost full length of segment. Pronotal posterior margin with stout transverse apodeme. Forewing clavus with 5 marginal setae. Abdominal tergite I narrow; tergal median setae small and wide apart; tergites VIII and IX subequal in length. Measurements (holotype Ψ in microns) Body length 3010. Head, length 260; width 330. Pronotum, length 250; width 350. Forewing, length 1500; maximum distal width 150. Antennal segments I–IX length: 50, 55, 480, 330, 100, 70, 50, 30, 15. Comments: The head and pronotum of this species are similar to that of F. suzukii (Fig. 19), but antennal segment III is particularly elongate (Fig. 31), being almost one third as long as the forewing. The abdomen is uniformly dark (Fig. 12), but is more constricted basally than in F. basseti and F. lineatus. As a result, the body form is intermediate between these more generalised species that are similar to Corynothripoides, and the more extreme ant mimicking species.Published as part of Mound, Laurence A. & Reynaud, Philippe, 2005, Franklinothrips; a pantropical Thysanoptera genus of antmimicking obligate predators (Aeolothripidae), pp. 1-16 in Zootaxa 864 on pages 12-13, DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.17085
Le previsioni mostrano drammatici elementi in cui il Paese dovrà affrontare trovando soluzioni adeguate anche se molto difficiliItalian population is currently the most aged in the world and it is among the firsts having to face all the problems arising from a growing and fastening ageing process. The process, determined by the individuals capacity to control their own fertility, and by the increase in human longevity up to age limits unconceivable in the past, to be regarded as an ineluctable and positive phenomenon. The ageing process appears to be very complex, not only as it is determined by many demographic components, but also as it involves a population at all levels – individuals, families, population as a whole and wide population sub-groups – and it affects manifolds aspects. Undoubtedly, one of the most worrying effects is the consequences on the health system, in terms of a growing necessity for structures and personnel for the care and assistance of the elderly. Hospitalization rates by age show how hospitalization is concentrated in two life stages, in the early phase following birth and close to death. The latter, which has become always more intense, is associated to the risk of diseases, which strongly increases with age.
Italy will be always more characterised by a decreasing number of young people, drowning in a sea of old people. A perspective which in any case, shows dramatic elements, that the country will have to face finding adequate, but difficult solutions
South-north population movements in Italy forty years later
In present-day society individual mobility becomes more and more important: the development transport systems has made movementes easier and more frequent; more widespread means of communication have contributed to increased mobility. The network of trajectories on the territory making incisive changes not
only on individual lives, but on the national life too. To study movements in Italy it seems important to consider classification of movements based on the distance between the place of origin and of destination, the frequency with which the movement considered is made and individual stability after the movement. We are studying the different types of movements. So we can show that Italy is a country of great mobility. Since the late 1990s mobility in Italy seems to have been sharply rising. Infact today, just like forty years ago, migrations are still not only directed abroad, but also within the country, and they are important to have demographic, economic and social consequences
Diagrammatic logic and exceptions:an introduction
For dealing with computational effects in computer
science, it may be helpful to use several logics:
typically, a logic with implicit effects for the
language, and a more classical logic for the user.
Hence, the study of computational effects should
take place in a framework where distinct logics
can be related. In this paper, such a framework is
presented: it is a category, called the category
of propagators. Each propagator defines a kind of
logic, called a diagrammatic logic, which is
endowed with a deduction system and a sound notion
of models. Morphisms of propagators provide the
required relationships between diagrammatic
logics. The category of propagators has been
introduced by Duval and Lair in 2002, it is based
on the notion of sketches, which is due to
Ehresmann in the 1960's. Then, the paper outlines
how Duval and Reynaud in 2004 used the category of
propagators for dealing with the computational
effect of raising and handling exceptions. Another
application of diagrammatic logic is presented by
Dominguez et al. in the same conferenc
