This research uses a qualitative approach. In its research approach method, this research is more directed to case studies. The primary data taken by the researcher this time was by interviewing several employees/staff in the administration sub-section. The author uses descriptive data analysis techniques by analyzing all data obtained from various available sources. Researchers also perform data analysis techniques by reducing data, presenting data, and drawing conclusions on the issues raised. From this study, there are results which show that in the Office of the Governor of North Sumatra, the Government Bureau and Regional Autonomy Secretariat, the Administration section shows that in these agencies the leader applies a participatory leadership style model. It can be seen from the results of the interviews that have been conducted, that is, when one of the staff is facing a problem that could interfere with their performance, the leader immediately gives personal encouragement, the leader also has leadership standards, can protect employees and be friends with them, often coordinates with employees. Employees are also responsible for their actions. Compensation in the Office of the Governor of the Government Bureau and Otda Setdaprovsu administration section, there are various kinds of compensation here, namely in the form of direct and indirect compensation, such as: monthly salary/wages, TPP, study tour/out of town service, and Satya badges

Graphene-based newtonian nanoliquid flows over an inclined permeable moving cylinder due to thermal stratification

    No full text
Heat flux enhancement due to utilization of graphene, graphene nanoplatelets, and graphene oxides in water/ethylene-glycol based nanofluids over an inclined permeable cylinder is focused in the present study. The governing PDE are reformulated into non-linear ODE by applying similarity expressions. A shooting procedure is opted to reformulate the equations into boundary value problems which are solved by employing a numerical finite difference code in MATLAB. The effects of constructive parameters toward the model on non-dimensional velocity and temperature dissemination, reduced skin friction coefficient and reduced Nusselt number are graphically reported and discussed in details. It is observed that by increasing the thermal stratification and inclination angle, the temperature profile and Nusselt number for the selected nanofluids will be decreased.Human-Robot Interactio

Mean Monte Carlo Finite Difference Method for Random Sampling of a Nonlinear Epidemic System

    No full text
In this article, a numerical method integrated with statistical data simulation technique is introduced to solve a nonlinear system of ordinary differential equations with multiple random variable coefficients. The utilization of Monte Carlo simulation with central divided difference formula of finite difference (FD) method is repeated n times to simulate values of the variable coefficients as random sampling instead being limited as real values with respect to time. The mean of the n final solutions via this integrated technique, named in short as mean Monte Carlo finite difference (MMCFD) method, represents the final solution of the system. This method is proposed for the first time to calculate the numerical solution obtained for each subpopulation as a vector distribution. The numerical outputs are tabulated, graphed, and compared with previous statistical estimations for 2013, 2015, and 2030, respectively. The solutions of FD and MMCFD are found to be in good agreement with small standard deviation of the means, and small measure of difference. The new MMCFD method is useful to predict intervals of random distributions for the numerical solutions of this epidemiology model with better approximation and agreement between existing statistical estimations and FD numerical solutions. © The Author(s) 2016

Social Welfare Analysis: An Economic Study Of Human Development Index, Income Inequality And Poverty In The Provinces Of Aceh And North Sumatera

    No full text
This study was conducted with the aim of knowing how much social inequality occurs between Aceh province and North Sumatra province. The method in collecting and processing data uses descriptive qualitative, where the data obtained is described through graphs as a measure of inequality. The samples in this study are; Human Development Index, Net Income and poverty. The results of this study are 1) The Human Development Index is at an unequal point where North Sumatra province is below Aceh province. 2) Through the net income graph, North Sumatra province is dominantly higher than Aceh province. 3) The poverty index of Aceh province is greater than that of North Sumatra province. 4) Through the processed data, North Sumatra province has superior inequality than Aceh province with two samples that are larger. Based on this research, the author makes a suggestion for the government to increase the policy of increasing employment for regions that do not have large revenues, and pay more attention to the efficiency of fiscal policies that have a direct impact on poverty
