Reed M. Gardner, Ph.D. (1970)
Reed M. Gardner was born in St. George Utah on October 24, 1937. Dr Gardner received his BSEE from Dixie College in 1960. and his Ph.D in biophysics and bioengineering from the University of Utah in 1968. Dr Gardner was Assistant Professor of Biophysics and Bioengineering (1965-1972); Associate Professor of Medical Biophysics and Computing (1973-1978) and Professor of Medical Biophysics and Computing from 1978-2006 at the University of Utah. Dr Gardner was Co-Director for Medical Computing at LDS Hospital from 1985-1996. Dr Gardner was Chair of the Department of Medical Informatics from 1996-2006. Dr. Gardner was elected a Fellow of the American Medical Informatics Association in 1985. Dr Gardner was Emeritus Professor of Biomedical Informatics. Dr Gardner died in 2020
