Dear Friends: The Bryant Service Club has been very kind to Bryant men in the service. It is concrete proof that Bryant College remembers its students even after they have been graduated and are many miles away. I doubt if any other College, large or small, can equal the spirit that exist [sic] between the student body and the alumni. Thank you very much for the cigarettes I received this week. Sincerely yours Raymond J. Murphy S/Sgt. Raymond J. Murphy [Transcription ends

Dear Sir: Please don’t think that I am ungrateful because I didn’t acknowledge receipt of the cigarettes sooner. I was transferred from Camp Lee to Bolling Field. The cigarettes were sent to Camp Lee and had to be sent up here. I just received them today. Thank you very much for your thoughtfulness. It really is swell to know that the boys in the service are remembered by members of their old Alma Mater. Gratefully yours Raymond J. Murphy [Transcription ends
