Methane Production By Anaerobic Co-Digestion Of Sewage Sludge And Wheat Straw Under Mesophilic Conditions
International audienceThis study investigated the possibilities of improving methane yield production from, the anaerobic co-digestion of wheat straw (WS) and primary sludge (PS). The batch experiment was conducted under mesophilic conditions. Different mixtures of WS and PS depending on its C/N ratio were carried out to investigate the optimum C/N ratio for effective methane production. The cumulative methane yields (CMYs) for co-digestion of PS with WS at C/N ratios of 35, 25, 20, 15 and 10 were 1.29, 1.62, 1.33, 2.44 and 2.16 time than digesting PS alone, respectively. The maximum CMYS was observed at C/N ratio of 15 with an increase of 89 %, 50.93 %, 83.61 % and 13.12 % compared with the other C/N ratio of 35, 25, 20 and 10 respectively. This result showed the positive synergy of co-digesting of PS and WS for methane production caused by improving the C/N ratio of the feed stock

Analysis of coupled Vivaldi antenna elements for millimeter wave communication
International audienceIn this paper, modeling and experimental characterization of coupled Vivaldi antenna elements printed on laminate substrate are proposed for Millimeter-Wave communication and Energy Harvesting. Both Time-Domain and Frequency domain electromagnetic simulations are conducted and compared to broadband measurement accounting for parasitic feeding effects (SMA connectors, wiring connections) also, evaluation of gain and radiation efficiencies. Perspectives for Co-integration of proposed Vivaldi antenna elements with power generation circuit blocks (VCO, Power Amplifier)
Eco-strategy: CSR strategy and Green IT updated model for ICT management
International audienceAwareness of stakeholder interactions and sustainable development (SD) issues in the management of information and communication technologies (ICT), forces companies to adopt the concepts of Green IT and corporate social responsibility (CSR) to meet the challenges of agility and innovation, also to create differentiation in governance processes and strategic alignment of ICT. In this paper, we present the enhanced model of eco-strategy as a new generation model for ICT management, which will serve as a theoretical basis and aims to improve research in the field of responsible management of ICT. The updated eco-strategy model is composed of two dimensions: "ICT Green Governance" and "ICT Green Alignment". These dimensions were designed according to a Green IT and CSR approach to provide companies with tools for the development of coherent and sustainable managerial strategies capable of boosting overall performance and to explore new levers of transition towards renewed management modes in service the of SD
Investigating the Effect of Blending Kerosene and Palm Oil with Diesel Fuel.
Burning of petroleum based fuels results in severe air pollution. To minimize this environmental impact mankind try to identify a new alternative source of fuel. A lot of experimentation has been done to identify a good source of alternative. The existing studies have discovered that vegetable oils can be a good substitute for diesel fuel. But using vegetable oils directly in an engine is not feasible due to their high viscosity and low volatility. As a result blends of vegetable oils are used in engines as an alternative of diesel. Here in this investigation the effect of blending kerosene and palm oil with diesel fuel is shown. Investigations are conducted using various blends of kerosene and palm oil with diesel. At first kerosene alone is blended with diesel in various ratios and the effect of blending was identified. After that the effect of blending palm oil alone with diesel in various ratio was determined. At last palm oil and kerosene together blended with diesel fuel in equal portion and the change in various fuel properties was determined. The effect of blending palm oil and kerosene alone with diesel is compared with the effect of blending palm oil and kerosene together with diesel. In order to compare the effects various fuel properties were measured. This study mainly concentrate on lower heating value (LHV) or lower calorific value (LCV) and density for various comparison purposes
The Use of ICT in the learning process among the students of History and Civilization at Abdelmalek Essaadi University, Morocco
International audienceThis article aims at analyzing the use of information and communications technology (ICT) in the learning process among university students of History and Civilization at Abdelmalek Essaadi University in Morocco. Data was collected by means of a questionnaire that was distributed among 187 students. The results reveal that there is still a digital divide regarding unequal access to ICT and its limited use by the students. Hence the need for multiplying efforts to ensure an effective integration strategy of ICT in the pedagogical practices
Strategies for Navigating Entrepreneurial ideas Into Successful Business Investment
International audienceEntrepreneurs are faced with enormous risk when investing in an entrepreneurial idea. A creative entrepreneur converts a recognized idea otherwise known as opportunity into a new venture or improve on existing venture otherwise called innovation. An invention that will add value to customers is usually referred to as innovation, and entrepreneurs creatively innovate ideas into a product that will add value to customers. A product must pass through a business model that will satisfy the stakeholders involved in the entrepreneurial journey. The business model is to use strategies that will identify a market with a substantial number of customers that will make a profit on investment. This paper identified strategies that entrepreneurs use to develop a business model that reduces risk and add value to customers and stakeholders. The paper will guide entrepreneurs to select a business plan that will reduce risk when investing

Distance training for physics teachers in education sciences: flexible and efficient
International audience— Continuous training courses for the teachers of the Minister of National Education are essential to update their disciplinary and pedagogical skills. However, teachers in Morocco rarely benefit from continuous training courses, especially in educational science. This lack is due to organizational constraints as well as temporary unavailability of teachers. In this paper, we propose distance learning, across the Moroccan Kingdom in educational science based on complete, intelligent and communicative e-Learning platform. The main objective of this distance learning is to provide teachers with solid, efficient and flexible training courses in educational sciences. Flexible, because our distance learning use some approaches that allow each teacher to preplan their learning activities and collaboration with other teachers. Efficient, because traditional training is done at each city and requires an important budget, while our distance learning is at the national level and without cost of the training courses (movement of both teachers and Supervisors, Indemnities of the supervisors, catering and also accommodation). The added value of our distance learning platform is to offer various advantages: First, updating their knowledge in physics science, Second helping teachers improve their methods and teaching strategy, Third sharing courses and new teaching strategies between the teachers, fourth encouraging teachers to educational research and also preparing teachers to become future scientists in education
