Rasmussen and his wife Berna Rasmussen describe Paul’s experiences growing up on a ranch in Montana as well as his career as a flight land mechanic that kept him moving around the United States during the mid-20th century. Paul recalls his childhood home in Lavina, Montana, as well as his brother, Wayne Rasmussen, who later became the head historian for the U.S. Department of Agrigulture. In 2019, Rasmussen, started Pattern, a gallery, photobook library and community space dedicated to the documentary arts. His work has been selected for the American Photography Annuals, shortlisted for the Leica Oskar Barnac Award, and awarded in the 2010 POYi awards.
