Structure And Electronic Properties Of Ionized Pah Clusters
Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon (PAH) clusters have been proposed as
candidates for evaporating very small grains that are revealed by their mid-IR
emission at the surface of UV-irradiated clouds in interstellar space\footnote{M.~Rapacioli,
C.~Joblin and P.~Boissel \textit{Astron. \& Astrophys.} \underline{\textbf{429}} (2005),
193-204.}. This suggestion is a motivation for further characterization of the properties of these clusters
in particular when they are ionized.
We have used a molecular beam coupled to the photoelectron-photoion coincidence spectrometer
DELICIOUS~II/~III \footnote{G.~Garcia, H.~Soldi-Lose and L.~Nahon \textit{Rev. Sci. Instrum.} \underline{\textbf{80}} (2009), 023102;
G.~Garcia, B.~Cunha de Miranda, M.~Tia, S.~Daly, L.~Nahon, \textit{Rev. Sci. Instrum.} \underline{\textbf{84}} (2013), 053112}
at the VUV beamline DESIRS of the synchrotron SOLEIL to characterize the electronic properties of cationic coronene
(CH) and pyrene (CH) clusters up to the pentamer and heptamer, respectively.
These experimental results are analysed in the light of electronic structure calculations. Simulations of the properties
of ionized PAH clusters are faced with the difficulty of describing charge delocalization in these large systems. We will show that recent developments combining
a Density Functional Tight Binding method with Configuration Interaction scheme\footnote{M.~Rapacioli, A.~ Simon,
L.~Dontot and F.~Spiegelman \textit{Phys. Status Solidi B} \underline{\textbf{249}} (2) (2012), 245-258;
L.~Dontot, M.~Rapacioli and F.~Spiegelman (2014) \textit{submitted} } is successful in simulating the ionization
potential, which gives strong confidence into the predicted structures for these PAH clusters.
We will also present current effort to study charge transfer states by performing complementary measurements with
the PIRENEA ion trap set-up.Made available in DSpace on 2014-09-17T16:56:04Z (GMT). No. of bitstreams: 3

Paul Bourget, écrivain engagé
Paul Bourget, A committed writer, Yehoshua Mathias.
In the France of the early twentieth century, Paul Bourget's figure is that of a successful novelist who became gradually a «committed author». A monarchist, deeply conservative, passionate defender of religion and the family as the vital bases of the social order, he thus became the bard of the bourgeois ethic faced with the destabilization of modernity.Mathias Yehoshua. Modelling Interstellar Complex Molecules : Developments and Simulations
Formation, distribution and behaviour of Complex Organic Molecules (COM's) in space is an important subject of research to the better understanding of the initial condition for the appearance of life on Earth. Furthermore, the study of high energy chemical processes in the interstellar medium (cosmic radiation's effect) and in solar system (solar wind's effect), is been of high interest. The aim of this work is to study astrophysical molecules trapped in interstellar ice systems under the effect of high energy radiation. These ices are characterised by being large systems, with large number of atoms. QM/MM hybrid method has become a very popular tool for molecular systems' simulations with a large number of atoms, appearing as a good compromise between accuracy and computational costs. We report the implementation of QM/MM hybrid method in the deMonNano software, using the Density Functional based Tight Binding (DFTB), an approximated DFT scheme, combined with Molecular Mechanic (MM) approach, namely Force Fields (FF) of class 1, such as OPLS-AA and AMBER-families of FFs. A complete implementation was performed using the QM/MM additive coupling scheme. In addition, the investigation of high energy chemical processes requires the explicit simulation of the electronic dynamics beyond the Born Oppenheimer approximation. As first step towards such dynamics, we will report the implementation of Real Time TD-DFTB in deMonNano, consisting in solving the Time-Dependent Schrödinger equation within the DFTB, where the electronic density matrix is propagated along time. We report a detailed introduction to new DFTB/MM and RT-TD-DFTB implementations as well as the complete study on glycine prebiotic molecule trapped in an interstellar ice. PAH interstellar systems will be also a matter of study
„Nature must be felt“ – Alexander von Humboldt, pioneer of an ecological worldview and protagonist of „transversal reason“
The text commemorates the 250th year of birth of Alexander von Humboldt, a thought leader for an ecological view of the world and an early protagonist of „transversal reason“. He is an indispensable source of ideas for the „new nature therapies“, for integrative therapy and for an ecological viewpoint in psychotherapy. Some important aspects of his thinking and work are shown from this perspective. He is a reference author for transversal and integrative conceptualization in our time.https://www.fpi-publikation.de/gruene-texte/17-2019-petzold-h-g-mathias-wiedemann-u-natur-muss-gefuehlt-werden-alexander-v-humboldt/peerReviewedpublishedVersio
