No full textA facile and highly efficient one-pot synthesis of 2,3-dihydroquinazolin-4(1H)-ones derivatives has been developed by the condensation of anthranilamide with aldehydes using sulfonic acid functionalized l-Proline@Fe3O4 nanoparticles as a catalyst. The advantages of this protocol are easy recovery and reusability of the catalyst besides simple work-up procedure and short reaction time. In addition, the anthelmintic activities of some selective compounds were investigated and it was found that 2-phenyl-2,3-dihydroquinazolin-4(1H)-one exhibited profound anthelmintic activity against two helminth models.</p

The annual Green and Gold Ball for the
Migrath First'and Second Ward M.I*A’s was
hold in the Assembly Hall Saturday evening
with a good crowd in attendance. The hall
was beautifully decorated with a oeiling of
piale streamers and white frosted evergreens
placed in the floor arrangements. Decorations
were in charge of Mrs. Mary Jfergaret Blumell
and Mrs, Betty Harris. Cody’s orchestra was
In attendance. Mister of Ceremonies for the
evening was Mr. Blair Sabey, A very interesting
floor was presented and twelve couples
participated in the ’’Queen’s Walts”, Eleven
young Indies from both wards were elegible
to be crowned queens. They were. Misses Jean
Harris,Sharon Harkey Marilyn Toomer, Diane
Dahl, Jean Steele, Donna Bohnet, Betty Ann
Tanner, Kay Wheeler, Linda Gurney; Dana
Dudley and Carol Blurel. The girls paraded
across the front of the stage and eaoh drew
a rose, two of them being marked for queens,
resulting in Miss Marilyn Toòmer being crowned
queen of the First Ward M.I,A‘. and Miss
Dònna Iohnet crowned queen of the Second Ward
M.I.A, Officiating were Bishop Nyal Fletcher
and Elder Duane Harker. Crown bearers were
little Miss Joy Ifarker and little Miss Sharon
Blumall. Tho evening concluded in dancing.
The Assembly Hall whs filled Tuesday evening
when the First and Second Ward M.I.AIS .
presented two' one-act plays. The First Ward
play was ’’Pink and Batches" directed by Mr.
Floyd Iarson while the Secon Vfard Play "Cup
of Strength” was directed by Mrs, Win. Bassey.
Mr. Dean Rolfson of Raymond was adjudicator.
Mrs. L. Christensen of Stirling, Regional
Dranfi Director was present for the occasion.
