Material examined: 1 ♂, India: Delhi, Division of Entomology, ICAR-IARI 28°38’03”N 77°09’44”E, 17.IX.2021, Hg light, Rajgopal, N. N. (NPC). 7 ♂♂, India: Delhi Hg light, 09. XI.1939, W. Kerr (NPC). Diagnosis: Pygofer rounded, with long and narrow dorso-lateral lobes (Fig. 4A). Subgenital plate short, rounded apically in ventral view, stout hook like processes from inner dorsal margin directed dorso laterally, uniserate stout macrosetae laterally and across plate subapically (Fig. 4B). Style long and slender, bilobed anteriorly, apophysis long with truncate apex, preapical lobe reduced. Connective large, Y-shaped with stem longer than arms; articulated with aedeagus. Aedeagus simple, curved dorsally, with apical gonopore, dorsal apodeme well developed (Fig. 4E). Remarks: This species is identified based on the descriptions of Linnavuori (1953) and Khatri & Webb (2010). This species was previously recorded from Egypt, Ethiopia, Jordan, Pakistan, Iran Saudi Arabia, and Somalia (Matsumura, 1908; Dlabola, 1979; Metcalf, 1967; Heller & Linnavuori, 1968; Nast, 1972; Khatri & Webb, 2010; Pakarpour Rayeni et al., 2015; Mozaffarian and Wilson, 2016). The genus and species are here recorded from India for the first time.Published as part of Rajgopal, N.
