Para comemorar: Novo fator de impacto da RAE
The impact factor (IF) of the RAE-Revista de Administração de Empresas (Journal of Business Management) has increased in international indexes such as Journal Citation Reports (JCR), Scopus, SciELO, and Red Iberoamericana de Innovación y Conocimiento Científico (REDIB). According to the latest ranking published by Clarivate Analytics (June 2019), the increase in JCR was over 70% from 0.404 (2017) to 0.701 (2018). This result ranks RAE among the top 10 journals in Brazil indexed in the WoS/SSCI database, which tracks social science journals. These numbers are extremely significant when considering that they were obtained before 2018, when most of the articles were published in Portuguese. RAE became bilingual in 2018, publishing all its articles in Portuguese and English, or Spanish and English.O Fator de Impacto (FI) da RAE-Revista de Administração de Empresas aumentou em indexadores internacionais como o Journal Citation Reports (JCR), Scopus, SciELO e Red Iberoamericana de Innovación y Conocimiento Científico (REDIB).
Fortissat Science Alliance podcast: Henry Rae
Henry Rae was a technician in the School of Medicine at the University of St Andrews. He took part in the Fortissat Science Alliance podcast recordings in March 2021.What is the Fortissat Science Alliance? The Fortissat Science Alliance was a Wellcome Trust & Children In Need "Curiosity" project. This scheme provided informal STEM learning opportunities for young people who attended the community centre Getting Better Together Shotts (GBT Shotts) between 2019 and 2023. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, deliveries had to pivot online so the podcast was founded. These recordings were made via Zoom with warm-up STEM activities sent to every young person in advance, along with a profile page for each researcher, so that they were relaxed and able to ask excellent questions.Link to episode on Spotify.Depending on the broadcast date, podcast deliveries were co-sponsored by Glasgow Science Festival, EXPLORATHON 2021, or EXPLORATHON 2022/23.For the duration of the project, it was supported jointly by Children in Need and the Wellcome Trust. In 2021, EXPLORATHON episodes were supported by the European Commission [grant agreement ID 101036101]. In 2022-23, EXPLORATHON episodes were supported by the Engineering & Physical Sciences Research Council [grant number EP/X020894/1].Author contributions to contentHenry Rae was the guest featured on this episode. Rebecca Hay was the youth worker coordinating the young people who conducted the interviews as well as co-editing and broadcasting the recordings. Iain Hamilton co-edited the episodes. Kirsty Ross was the STEM consultant for the project and uploaded completed episodes to Figshare.</p
Three Kinds of Disambiguated Author ID Systems for PubMed 2019
Author identifier (ID) is essential for many downstream tasks, such as co-author network and scientist mobility analysis. As a widely used bibliometrics database, author ID of PubMed is not officially provided by National Institutes of Health (NIH), that restrict bibliometric research. This study exploited three open bibliographic databases Aminer, Microsoft Academic Graph (MAG) and Semantic Scholar (S2) to associate author ID for PubMed. For this purpose, paper linking and author linking was performed sequencely to mine paper and author links between PubMed and these databases. Performance of author name disambiguation (AND) of there available identifiers was evaluated on two AND datasets. Our findings suggested that, S2 contains full volume of PubMed regarding link completeness. With respect to correctness of author ID, S2 and MAG achieved better performance than Aminer. The best F1 score on both dataset of there available identifiers is below 90\%, indicate that AND for large scale database remain as a difficult task and the need for further improvement. We made the final dataset that contains linked paper and author of PubMed publicly available for facilitating future research

Ethics of Open Access to Biomedical Research: Just a Special Case of Ethics of Open Access to Research
The ethical case for Open Access (OA) (free online access) to research findings is especially salient when it is public health that is being compromised by needless access restrictions. But the ethical imperative for OA is far more general: It applies to all scientific and scholarly research findings published in peer-reviewed journals. And peer-to-peer access is far more important than direct public access. Most research is funded to be conducted and published, by researchers, in order to be taken up, used, and built upon in further research and applications, again by researchers, for the benefit of the public that funded it -- not in order to generate revenue for the peer-reviewed journal publishing industry (nor even because there is a burning public desire to read [much of] it). Hence OA needs to be mandated for all research
Rae Davis : Unfoldings
Presents an extensive biographical chronology and descriptive catalogue of Davis’ work, and provides six exemplary texts (theory and performance) dating from 1966 to 1992. McCaskell situates her work in terms of performance art, stemming from her background in theatre and her dissatisfaction with it. Comparing the artist to contemporaries like Yvonne Rainer and John Cage, McCaskell argues that Davis expresses in her work the contingency of living in the present tense. 12 bibl. ref
