No full textThe Resource Sharing Collaborative and Voluntary Document Delivery (RSCVD) Steering Committee met with fellow guests from the USA Lapis Cohen and other members from the ALA, RUSA to discuss the possible collaboration between RSCVD and the Toolkit inititives, where Toolkit lists all libraries willing to share resources internationanlly. It was a productive discussion on how to allow the 200 members libraries in RSCVD to collaborate with the 300 libraries members in Toolkit. it has been decided to add ideas on the main document and move from there. There were recommnedations to add a column on the Toolkit list and start designating which loibraries are RSCVD volunteers and adding under parenthesis if Full Lender and Borrower or Not. Work is still under progress as the deadline to share ideas was set to November 8. it was agreed to meet like twice per year with the big committee for updates, and more talk will happen at the ILDS in Baku 2024

No full textThe Resource Sharing Collaborative and Voluntary Document Delivery (RSCVD) Steering Committee met as part of the monthly meetings and discussed the expansion of the number of countries signing up for RSCVD group. The second ponint discussed the planning of workshops and webinars in India, in Santander (Spain), and future ones for the MENA region and more in Asia. A SWOT analysis Strenght, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threat will be done for the RSCVD group and presented in webinars and the ILDS session in Baku in Dec. 2024. The third point suggested more outreach to be done for RSCVD to expand the global netwrok and benefit libraries around the world. The last point discussed the future of Talaria and future communications ad integration with other systems. This could be a Masters thesis subject

No full textThe Resource Sharing Collaborative and Voluntary Document Delivery (RSCVD)Steering Committee met on October 9th to discuss new updates related to the group activites. As a result of meeting with the ILDS PLanning committee, it has been decided to allocate the RSCVD presenters in ILDS Baku the morning session from 9:00 AM - 12:30 PM to allow a full exposure of the RSCVD project to the new attendees. The session will be in 2 parts: 1st part The Origins of RSCVD and 2nd part The Futrue and Case Studies. The second point discussed a possible collaboration between RSCVD and the Toolkit that was initiated at the ALA last July between Silvana Magiaracina and Lapis Cohen the founder of the Toolkit. The collaboration will focus on how to group both intiatives and allow better collaboration. A meeting was proposed on the 23rd of October between the RSCVD Committee and the Toolkit Committee. The third point discussed the Digital voucher with a planned meeting with the IFLA HQ to discuss ways to move forward with ILL payments. The fourth point disucssed the support to Palestinian Scholars in Gaza and West Bank with the Bodleian Library and how to involve RSCVD to allow libraires to benefit from the service. The last point discussed organizing a webinar about RSCVD in the MENA region to promote the RSCVD mission, raise awareness among the Middle Eastern Libraries , and reach Palestinian scholars. The webinar will be held in January 2025

No full textThe Committee discussed the latest enhancement on Talaria with the automatic reply developments. To date, 150 libraries joined RSCVD community. Discussions about the internal processes clarified some issues in requesting articles. An outreach plan was discussed: to produce a brochure about Talaria/RSCVD and to distribute it in ALA conference. The final version of the RSCVD/Talaria presentation was completed and shared with all members. The ILDS 2024 conference will allocate a dedicated session to Talaria - RSCVD training. Long term projects were also discussed in terms of enhancing Talaria's visibility through discovery tools
