Due interpreti dell'Etica di Spinoza: Harold H. Joachim e Karl Jaspers
In this book, the author takes into consideration two crucial episodes of the history of the interpretations of Spinoza’s philosophy: its critical appropriation by an eminent exponent of British Idealism, Harold H. Joachim, and the opposite existentialistic interpretation by Karl Jaspers, who instead sets out a decidedly irrationalistic interpretation of it. Starting with an immanent critique of Jaspers’ failed Spinoza-interpretation, this book ends with the outline of a systematic critique of Existential Ontology
L'etica dell'idealismo moderno
This book is a systematic work in which its author proposes to set out a complete treatment of the problematic of Moral Philosophy, and identifies in the development of modern thought from Spinoza to the most recent outcomes of Anglo-Saxon Idealism the historical framework in which its deepest and most consistent statements have been formulated. All the philosophical doctrines there expounded are submitted to an immanent theoretical critique from the viewpoint of Absolute Idealism
STORICISMO E METAFISICA NELLA FILOSOFIA CONTEMPORANEA
In this essay, the author proposes to articulate concisely a theoretically consistent solution to the much-discussed problem of the relationship between the metaphysical and historical dimensions of philosophical thought. He rejects both the anti-historical orientation of the traditional, dualistic “metaphysics of Being” and the prevailingly relativistic outlook of contemporary Historicism, and searches for a reconciliation of both dimensions within the theoretical framework of Absolute Idealism
The Metaphysical Presuppositions of Hegel's Philosophy of Self-consciousness
This article offers an original contribution to the interpretation of a crucial aspect of Hegel’s philosophy: the Chapter on “Self-Consciousness” in the Phenomenology of Spirit. Rejecting both of the most well-known interpretations of the master-slave dialectic unfolded in it, the Existentialistic and the Marxist ones, its Author points out that the rational necessity of the development of this “figure” of human experience is completely dependent on the logical-metaphysical principles of Hegel’s Philosophy, in particular on his doctrine of the absolute Idea
