No full textL'edizione comprende il carteggio intercorso tra Benedetto Croce e Corrado Ricci dal 1890 al 1925 (con un'ultima lettera isolata del 1928), qui trascritto e presentato per la prima volta. Tutte le lettere sono corredate di note esplicative e critiche. Un voluminoso saggio introduttivo ricostruisce il contesto storico del carteggio e ne approfondisce tutti i principali punti di interesse: il confronto tra l'approccio critico positivista e quello idealista in genesi: il rapporto tra le istituzioni e gli intellettuali militanti nell'Italia giolittiana; l'impegno per la tutela e la valorizzazione del patrimonio culturale e artistico; il legame con l'orizzonte europeo e il modo diverso di coltivarlo. Le lettere, e le tante questioni che affrontano, offrono preziosi spunti di riflessione sul piano sia storico sia teorico.The edition includes the correspondence between Benedetto Croce and Corrado Ricci from 1890 to 1925 (with a last isolated letter from 1928), transcribed and presented here for the first time. All letters are accompanied by explanatory and critical notes. A voluminous introductory essay reconstructs the historical context of the correspondence and examines all the main points of interest: the comparison between the positivist critical approach and the idealist one in genesis: the relationship between militant institutions and intellectuals in Giolittian Italy; the commitment to protect and enhance the cultural and artistic heritage; the link with the European horizon and the different way of cultivating it. The letters, and the many questions they face, offer valuable insights on both historical and theoretical levels
Numerical Method for the Computation of Tangent Vectors to 2 x 2 Hyperbolic Systems of Conservation Laws
No full textWe are interested in the development of a numerical method for solving optimal control problems governed by hyperbolic systems of conservation laws. The main difficulty of computing the derivative in the case of shock waves is resolved in the presented scheme. Our approach is based on a combination of a relaxation approach in combination with a numerical scheme to resolve the evolution of the tangent vectors.
