Recovery and Rehabilitation after Minor Fractures
This study had the aim of exploring patients' needs for rehabilitation and aftercare after 'minor' fractures.
The study population consisted of 171 patients. aged 18 to 59 inclusive, with a diagnosis of fracture, who were seen at a trauma clinic in one general hospital in Dover, and who had not been admitted to hospital as inpatients because of their injury. Each respondent was interviewed up to six times in the year after' the injury. The diagnoses that were
most common in the series were fractures of the lower end of radius, metacarpals, phalanges of the hand, metatarsals and toes
Evaluation of minor pathogen intramammary infection, susceptibility parameters, and somatic cell counts on the development of new intramammary infections with major mastitis pathogens
Major mastitis pathogens such as Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus uberis, Streptococcus dysgalactiae, and coliforms are usually considered more virulent and damaging to the udder than minor mastitis pathogens such as Corynebacterium spp. and coagulase-negative staphylococci (CNS). The current literature comprises several studies (n=38) detailing analyses with conflicting results as to whether intramammary infections (IMI) with the minor pathogens decrease, increase, or have no effect on the risk of a quarter acquiring a new IMI (NIMI) with a major pathogen. The Canadian Bovine Mastitis Research Network has a large mastitis database derived from a 2-yr data collection on a national cohort of dairy farms, and data from this initiative were used to further investigate the effect of IMI with minor pathogens on the acquisition of new major pathogen infections (defined as a culture-positive quarter sample in a quarter that had been free of that major pathogen in previous samples in the sampling period). Longitudinal milk samplings of clinically normal udders taken over several 6-wk periods as well as samples from cows pre-dry-off and postcalving were used to this end (n=80,397 quarter milk samples). The effects of CNS and Corynebacterium spp. on the major mastitis pathogens Staph. aureus, Strep. uberis, Strep. dysgalactiae, and coliform bacteria (Escherichia coli and Klebsiella spp.) were investigated using risk ratio analyses and multilevel logistic regression models. Quarter-, cow- and herd-level susceptibility parameters were also evaluated and were able to account for the increased susceptibility that exists within herds, cows and quarters, removing it from estimates for the effects of the minor pathogens. Increased quarter-level susceptibility was associated with increased risk of major pathogen NIMI for all pathogens except the coliforms. Increased somatic cell count was consistently associated with elevated risk of new major pathogen infections, but this was assumed to be a result of low sensitivity of bacteriology to diagnose major pathogen NIMI expediently and accurately. The presence of CNS in the sample 2 samplings before the occurrence of a NIMI increased the odds of experiencing a Staph. aureus NIMI 2.0 times, making the presence of CNS a risk factor for acquiring a Staph. aureus NIMI. Even with this extensive data set, power was insufficient to make a definitive statement about the effect of minor pathogen IMI on the acquisition of major pathogen NIMI. Definitively answering questions of this nature are likely to require an extremely large data set dedicated particularly to minor pathogen presence and NIMI with major pathogens
Repatriation from the universal museum:Iyagbon's mirror as a performance of minor-universals
In 2020 Mwazulu Diyabanza of the Yanka Nku Panafrican movement demonstratively entered a series of museums in France and Belgium and stole back African art works declairing they had been looted in the first place. This act of counter appropriation sent a wave of responses from legal to artistic around Europe. One of these was orchestrated by Samson Ogiamien and the Onyrikon theatre, which the author joined in the capacity of a collaborating artist and theorist reflecting upon the various modes of counter appropriation (and minor universality) occurring in restitutions around Europe. This chapter describes Iyagbon's Mirror, the performance work that resulted
The Early Byzantine Domed Basilicas of West Asia Minor, An essay in Graphic Reconstruction
This paper investigates the methodology employed in the recent survey and reconstruction of the major Early Byzantine domed churches of west Asia Minor. This involved both the documentation of construction details as well as their interpretation by reference to coeval monuments elsewhere. Focusing on this methodology, the author explores techniques of graphic recording and the theoretical framework within which parallels with other buildings can inform the work of reconstruction. The detailed examination of two case studies illustrates the way in which seemingly random scraps of testimony were interpreted to provide evidence for the missing superstructure of the churches. These case studies also serve to explore the adaptation of the methodology to sites with different characteristics and help to assess the credibility of the resulting graphic reconstructions
jDHBenelux Author Template
This repository contains the latest official GitHub hosted versions of the LaTeX template that authors are required to use when they finalize their contribtions to the DH Benelux Journal. The repository synchronises with the corresponding easy-to-use and well-documented Overleaf Template that provides authors with a low threshold environment for writing LaTeX – but can be used with any LaTeX compiler.
About this Release: Apart from some minor changes to the .cls, v2.0 introduces a number of new files to improve open source development with git and GitHub, including a README, a CC-BY 4.0 License, and a .gitignore file. It also prepares the repository for synchronisation with Zenodo, to improve sustainability.

A Minor Jurisprudence of Play: Becoming Jurisprudents Through Play in the Majora's Mask
A minor jurisprudence is a productive mode of encountering video games for the purpose of describing the jurisdictional techniques exemplified in them. To give effect to a minor jurisprudence in The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask, the author argues that play must be seen as a critical component of finding and participating in the production of the space and time of jurisdiction: play underlies, mechanically and narratively, the production of Termina’s lawscape. A jurisprudential reading of play – particularly as the player-as-jurisprudent participates in the production of Termina’s lawscape – is made possible through the game’s virtuality and dimensionality (time, persona, and movement). The chapter concludes by situating this intervention in legal theory to help characterise a minor jurisprudence of play – aesthetically, representationally, and materially – as world-making
PARADOXES OF EDUCATION: MINOR PETRUSHA GRINYOV
In this article A. S. Pushkin’s views on education problems are considered. Rejecting practically all educational institutes of the time, A. S. Pushkin demanded to forbid home education as «the most immoral». However, in his works the whole gallery of the literary heroes who have spent the childhood among «holops» is presented (Tatyana Larina, Masha Dubrovskaya, Pyotr Grinyov etc.), that allows to analyze paradoxes of home education in Pushkin’s works. In this regard the author of the article raises the question of the importance of Mitrofanushka image for understanding the image of Pushkin’s «minor» of the same period — Petrusha Grinyov – in the historical novel «The Captain’s Daughter». The precedentiality of Mitrofanushka image strengthened by the author allows A. S. Pushkin not only to emphasize typicalness of life of the minor of the 18th century, but also to point out the divergences in education which leads to formation of the personality that can watch his «honor while young», despite all «revolutions and returns» in Russian social life and in all circumstances of senseless and merciless Russian rebellion. On the other hand, Pyotr Grinyov’s mature standpoint on Petrusha’s «infantile years» allows him to appeal to sources of education again and to analyze all nuances of «home education» of people of honor
Role of minor additions on metallic glasses and composites
Microalloying refers to the addition of a small concentration of an alloying element to tune the properties of the parent alloy. Microalloying technology enables to control the glass formation and the mechanical properties of bulk metallic glasses (BMGs). This manuscript presents a comprehensive review on recent developments and breakthroughs in the field of microalloying for tuning the properties of BMGs and composites with focus on the results. The ability of multiple element co-addition to optimize the glass formation and the importance of future alloy developments have been highlighted. Proper microalloying can be used to tailor not only the mechanical properties of the amorphous phase but also those of the crystalline phase, which opens up the possibility for tuning the mechanical performance at different length scales. The effectiveness in controlling the mechanical performance through microalloying was shown to greatly depend on the alloy composition and closeness to the critical amorphous diameter. A tentative outlook commenting the potential and challenges of this exciting field of research is also presented

Tuin Park Landschap: Documentatie Minor Landschapsarchitectuur 2009
UrbanismArchitectur
