No full textAutorka proponuje powiązanie zagadnień teoretycznoliterackich z psychoanalityczną koncepcją symptomu. Punkt wyjścia wynika z połączenia ze sobą dwóch obszarów problemowych: relacja między literaturą a teorią literatury (R. Koziołek) oraz funkcjonalizacja symptomu jako narzędzia analitycznego (J. Lacan). Takie ujęcie umożliwia zestawienie literatury z symptomem i przeciwstawienie tej „nowej” kategorii systematyzującemu prawu teorii. Przykładem tego rodzaju interpretacji w omówieniu autorki jest Sprawa Stawrogina (Warszawa 1996). Książka stanowi prezentację dwóch odmiennych strategii lekturowych, które autorka definiuje i porównuje ze sobą. Dowodzi, że możliwe staje się powiązanie (wyartykułowanie) kwestii teoretycznoliterackich i psychoanalitycznych na gruncie wspólnej lektury tekstowej, a nie wyłącznie w słownikowym czy terminologicznym zapośredniczeniu.The article links issues of literary theory with the psychoanalytic concept of the symptom.
The starting point stems from the connection of two problem areas: the relationship
between literature and literary theory (R. Koziołek) and the symptom’s functionalization
as an analytical tool (J. Lacan). Such an approach allows the author to compare literature
with the symptom and contrast this “new” category with literary theory’s systematizing
power. The article exemplifies the thought with the interpretation of the book Sprawa Stawrogina (Stavrogin’s Case; Warsaw 1996), which offers two different reading strategies,
which the author defines and compares with each other. Moreover, the author proves
that we may link (articulate) literary theory and psychoanalytic issues on the grounds of
common reading, not only through dictionary or terminological mediations
Doping behaviour of electrochemically generated model bithiophene meta-substituted star shaped oligomer
No full textThe redox processes accompanying electrochemical oxidation of 1,3,5-tris(bithiophene)benzene (6TPh) and its products have been investigated using a suite of spectroelectrochemical tools. Investigated trifunctional molecule, featuring reactive bithiophene units can be considered a model of numerous star shaped compounds the building blocks of dense pi-conjugated polymer networks. Accounting for conjugation disruption between the meta-arranged bithiophene groups, it is found that electrochromic films generated upon 6TPh electrooxidation comprise primarily dimers (6TPh)2, whose alpha,omega-diphenylquaterthiophene units are the principal redox doping active species. Upon reaching a certain, electrochemically inconspicuous oxidation threshold, profound changes take place in the oligomer film, incurring irreversible changes to its electroactive properties, previously observed for these systems. An attempt is made to examine the nature of these changes and the impact they have on the doping behaviour of this intriguing pi-conjugated system. (C) 2014 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved

No full textFor several years now, noticeable has been a significant increase in the interest of psychologists – practitioners and
scientists, of parents and teachers in the issues of dyslexia, dyscalculia, and other developmental disorders. Specific
learning difficulties constitute one of the most prevalent causes of reporting children to psychological and pedagogic
outpatient departments. The results of the performed studies enable inter- and intra-group comparisons as well
as a global analysis of the structure of intellectual development in children with various learning difficulties.
This leads to interesting conclusions and allows for comprehensive scientific discussions. The subject of the article
is presentation of the results of studies and conclusions formulated according to them, about the structure of intellectual
development of children with learning difficulties diagnosed in two psychological-pedagogic outpatient
departments in Lublin region (Psychological-Pedagogic Outpatient Department No 5 in Lublin and PsychologicalPedagogic
Outpatient Department No 2 in Zamość). Analysed were the results of the WISC-R scale obtained by
schoolchildren from forms IV-VI of elementary schools and junior secondary schools in Lublin and schools
of Zamość county. As scholastic difficulties constitute quite a comprehensive term, generally perceived as problems
in acquisition of information and mastering school skills, in our study we take into account the following three groups of schoolchildren: with developmental dyslexia, intelligence lower than average, and specific disorders
in arithmetic skills. The performed analyses are aimed at familiarization with the developmental level of the schoolchildren’s
cognitive functions and their intellectual skills structure based on a three-factor analysis. Our studies continue
earlier analyses, including more comprehensive research areas with larger groups

No full textArtykuł stanowi próbę porównania dwóch modeli czynnościowych aktywizowanych przez queer: pisania przedstawionego w tekście jako ujęcie dyskursywne oraz przeżycia, czyli doświadczanego wymiaru praktyki performerskiej. Rekonstruując moment inicjujący teoretyczną refleksję nad queerem, autorka ukazuje wpisaną w ten ruch dwutorowość. Polega ona na teoretycznym definiowaniu nienormatywności jako negacji normy oraz praktycznym przeżywaniu nienormatywnego jako doświadczenia, które wymyka się procesom normatywizacji. Przyjęta przez Lacana perspektywa symptomatyczna w interpretacji autorki pozwala dostrzec analogiczne do queerowych podmiotowe konceptualizacje w psychoanalizie.The article attempts to compare two functional models activated by queerness writing, presented as a discursive approach, and experiencing, understood as the lived dimension of performative practice. By reconstructing the moment that initiated theoretical reflection on queerness, the author reveals this movement’s duality. Said duality consists of theory and experience: nonnormativity being defined as a negation of norms, and the experience of the nonnormative evading any processes of normalization. The symptomatic perspective adopted by Lacan, as interpreted by the author, enables the identification of subject conceptualizations in psychoanalysis that are analogous to those found in queer

Przedmiotem rozważań są ponadto diagnostyka przesiewowa i perspektywy kliniczne w obrębie wczesnego rozpoznawania procesów otępiennych. Na końcu artykułu przedstawiono studium przypadku pochodzące z praktyki neuropsychologicznej autorki.This article considers the concept of dementia disorders and their typology, human psychophysical development and the epidemiology of dementia disorders in senior patients. It provides a review of diagnostic tools used in neuropsychological diagnosis with particular emphasis on experimental tests, including linguistic ones, as well as issues related to verbal fluency and its typology. Attention is also paid to screening diagnostics and clinical perspectives in the area of early diagnosis of dementia processes. At the end of the article, the author presents a case study from her neuropsychological practice

No full textZaczynając od zarysowania tematu oraz wyjaśnienia kwestii terminologicznych, przedstawiam konstrukcję sztucznych przedstawicielów (ang. artifical agents) i zapowiadam próbę uzasadnienia uznania faktu istnienia ich zdolności prawnej. Nastepnie prezentuję wymagania stawiane przez doktrynę bytom, których status ontyczno-prawny jest niejasny - opieram się tutaj na poglądach R. Longchamps de Bérier, który podzielił te warunki na dwie kategorie. Najpierw zajmuję się materialnymi - korzystając z prac współczesnych badaczy amerykańskich wskazuję na możliwość posiadania przez będące tematem pracy byty interesów (rozumianych jako stosunek do świata zewnętrznego), nastepnie zaś wykazuję, że z uwagi na specyficzny charakter ich relacji z człowiekiem możliwe jest zabezpieczenie ich zaspokojenia. Po wykazaniu faktu spełniania przez artifical agents warunków materialnych, przechodzę do warunku formalnego - wskazując na fakt niespełniania go, rozwijam argumentację za bezcelowością stawiania go bytom, co do których chce się rozstrzygnąć, czy posiadają zdolność prawną. W zakończeniu podkreślam potwierdzenie tezy oraz wskazuję dalsze możliwości rozwoju badań w tym kierunku, pokrótce też zarysowuję perspektywy istnienia innych klas obiektów, które mogłyby posiadać zdolność prawną.At first, I shortly present the topic and definitions and then describe the idea of artificial agents, followed by an announcement of an attempt to justify the recognition of them having legal capacity. Subsequently, I present conditions made by legal doctrine for beings which legal-ontic status is unclear - this part is based on R. Longchamps de Bérier's works - the autor of the distinction between material and formal conditions of having legal capacity. First, I analise the material ones - using ideas of modern american researchers I point at the possibility of having interest (understood as an attitude towards world) by artificial agents, than I justify that due to special character of relations beetwen them and humans it is possible to satisfy their interests under protection of the law. Having said that they meet all of material conditions, I begin the analysis of formal condition - emphasizing the fact that it is not met by them I continue to present arguments against the statement that it is necessary for any being to meet it. In the end, I come to the conclusion that my thesis has been confirmed, therefore I point at the possibilty of further research into that matter as well as I present perspective of the existence of other objects whose legal capacity might someday be postulated

Zaproponowane przykłady literaturoznawczych interpretacji dzieł literackich - ściślej dzieła Gombrowicza w interpretacji M. P. Markowskiego i L. Neugera - nie tylko odwzorowują psychoanalityczny dwupodział w rozumieniu funkcji symptomu, ale dają się wpisać w szerszą perspektywę refleksji nad podmiotem. Tym samym artykuł stanowi próbę wykorzystania psychoanalizy jako narzędzia do budowania wypowiedzi metaliteraturoznawczych.The article presents the psychoanalytic symptom as a descriptive category in thecharacteristics of the modern and postmodern subjects. The author starts by comparingconcepts by Freud and Lacan, while also indicating the possibility of translating theminto the field of literary studies. The proposed examples of literary interpretations - specifically works by Gombrowicz interpreted by M. P. Markowski and L. Neuger - notonly reflect the psychoanalytic dichotomy in the understanding of a symptom’s functionbut also fit into a broader perspective of reflection on the subject. Imaging the signifier : Maria Janion and Jacques Lacan on phantasms
No full textArtykuł stanowi próbę interpretacji Projektu krytyki fantazmatycznej Marii Janion (1991) w podejściu ściśle psychoanalitycznym. Punktem odniesienia jest tytułowa kategoria fantazmatu, którą autorka wywodzi z teorii J. Lacana, a nie, jak zamierzała Janion, z koncepcji Freuda. To zniekształcenie inicjalnego kontekstu pozwala na nowo przemyśleć funkcjonowanie fantazmatu i umożliwia zmianę przyjętej strategii myślowej, gdyż prowadzi do odblokowania zahamowań w sferze wyobraźni podmiotu. W poszukiwaniu wzorców dla subiektywnych postaw przyjętych w ramach światopoglądu antropologicznego pomocne staje się sięganie do wyobrażeń, które, zgodnie z założeniami psychoanalizy lacanowskiej, wiążą (artykułują) realne i symboliczne. W interpretacji autorki książka M. Janion to potwierdza.In a strictly psychoanalytic approach, the article interprets Maria Janion’s book Projekt krytyki fantazmatycznej (1991), which literally means "phantasmatic critique project". The point of reference is the category of phantasm, which the article derives from the theory of Jacques Lacan – not from Freud’s concept of "phantasm", as Janion does. This distortion of the initial context allows a rethink of the phantasm’s functioning and a change in the adopted thought strategy because it leads to the unlocking of inhibitions in the imagination of the subject. In the search for patterns of subjective attitudes adopted as part of the anthropological worldview, the article relies on the representations that bind (articulate) the real and the symbolic, according to the assumptions of Lacanian psychoanalysis. The author of the article argues that Janion’s book agrees with this approach
