Somewhere in France 16 Dec 1944 Bryant [2 words indecipherable] c/o Bryant Service Club Bryant College Providence, R. I. Dear Friends, Today your very welcome box of candy arrived and nothing could have been more timely. Our ration of candy is not very large so that it was most welcome. I cannot remember when candy tasted better to me. I want to thank all of you who are working so hard for us over here and let you know how much it means to me. When I was back in the states your Christmas packages and letters were very welcome but now that I am overseas their value has increased a thousand-fold. Keep up the good work. Since I have read the last Bryant News I suppose many changes have taken place. I would like to be put back on the distribution list for Bryant News if it is at all possible. That is the only way we have of keeping track of our former classmates. Thanking you all again for your kindness. Peter H. Barlow, Jr.—39 B.S.B.A. [Transcription ends
