Nonminimal electrodynamics and resonance interactions in a relativistic plasma
A three-parameter toy model which describes a nonminimal coupling of gravity with the electromagnetic field of a relativistic two-component electrically neutral plasma, is discussed. Resonance interactions between particles and transversal waves in the plasma are shown to take place due to the curvature coupling effect. © 2009 Pleiades Publishing, Ltd

Einstein–Maxwell-axion theory: dyon solution with regular electric field
© 2017, The Author(s). In the framework of the Einstein–Maxwell-axion theory we consider static spherically symmetric solutions which describe a magnetic monopole in the axionic environment. These solutions are interpreted as the solutions for an axionic dyon, the electric charge of which is composite, i.e. in addition to the standard central electric charge it includes an effective electric charge induced by the axion–photon coupling. We focus on the analysis of those solutions which are characterized by the electric field regular at the center. Special attention is paid to the solutions with the electric field that is vanishing at the center, and that has the Coulombian asymptote, and thus displays an extremum at some distant sphere. Constraints on the electric and effective scalar charges of such an object are discussed

The process of forming intellectual potential generally takes place at academic institutions and in the area of high education. The scholarly organizations are the main link in the chain of scientific activity. There are features of forming Soviet science` intellectual potential during the stagnation period having studied in this article. Range of problems of placing on a job for scientific personnel, of regional structure of academic science, of scientific investigations` coordination and a problematical character of connections between science and universities, science and factories is also analyzing in this work. The author put state policy`s principles in the field of science to scrutiny and an efficiency of taken measures was defined. The creator pays a particular attention to analysis of factors influenced on formation of Ural`s intellectual potential for the Stagnation Era

A preliminary discussion of Dulkyn interferometer
The Dulkyn interferometer in Kazan is an active ring laser where the light
propagates along two different paths. It has been developed with the idea
that it could detect low frequency gravitational waves on Earth.
Considering Dulkyn as a detector of periodic strains of order of
h ~ 10−22 at low frequencies (10−3 Hz−10−5 Hz) we
calculate that 30 W is the order of magnitude of the optical power
necessary to beat the photon noise in the case of a long observation time
(T = 4 months) and a reasonable signal to noise ratio (r = 3). We estimate
that the displacement noise of the mirrors must not exceed 5×10−19m/.
Dulkyn is also sensitive to accelerations and rotations. The acceleration
noise does not seem to be troublesome
(), but the angular velocity noise must be
less than 5×10−11 s−1/.
The maximum strain (10−22) is obtained with free (pendulous) mirrors.
Out of resonance, the strain is many orders of magnitude smaller when the
mirrors are fixed on a rigid support. Such a case would rule out the
possibility of a detection. As a conclusion we emphasize that the Dulkyn
design does not bring any decisive improvement for the detection of low
frequency gravitational waves on Earth

С. Хрущева.The article explores visual image of N.S. Khrushchev as a political leader. Papers The Pravda, The Izvestia, The Trud and magazines The Ogonyok, The Soviet Photo, The Soviet Union for the period
1953—1964 are documentary basis of work. Purpose of the article is identification of Khrushchev’s representation features. The Author’s attention was attracted by questions of Khrushchev’s image ideologization and his visualization in mass-media, use of symbols and allusions which create image of the thaw’s party leader. Author detects main features of the Soviet leader’s visual image through materials from official events, appointments and business trips: emotionality, smile, freeness, agility,
riendliness toward foreigners. Author concludes that periodical press was fostered the «new» image of the Soviet leader, different from Stalin. The mass-media was became official party propaganda’s instrument which permitting to desacralize the Soviet power in consciousness of citizen
Birefringence induced by pp-wave modes in an electromagnetically active dynamic aether
© 2017, The Author(s). In the framework of the Einstein–Maxwell-aether theory we study the birefringence effect, which can occur in the pp-wave symmetric dynamic aether. The dynamic aether is considered to be a latently birefringent quasi-medium, which displays this hidden property if and only if the aether motion is non-uniform, i.e., when the aether flow is characterized by the non-vanishing expansion, shear, vorticity or acceleration. In accordance with the dynamo-optical scheme of description of the interaction between electromagnetic waves and the dynamic aether, we shall model the susceptibility tensors by the terms linear in the covariant derivative of the aether velocity four-vector. When the pp-wave modes appear in the dynamic aether, we deal with a gravitationally induced degeneracy removal with respect to hidden susceptibility parameters. As a consequence, the phase velocities of electromagnetic waves possessing orthogonal polarizations do not coincide, thus displaying the birefringence effect. Two electromagnetic field configurations are studied in detail: longitudinal and transversal with respect to the aether pp-wave front. For both cases the solutions are found, which reveal anomalies in the electromagnetic response on the action of the pp-wave aether mode
