Social network e protezione dei dati del lavoratore
Social networks give people the perception of being able to live in two
parallel worlds, one real and one virtual. The coexistence of these two realities
generates the fallacious belief in users that the two worlds are separate one from
each other. The Author dispels this myth and underlines that on the contrary
the connections are multiple. In particular, the analysis focuses on the
interactions between the employment relationship and social networks when
they are used by the worker as personal tools. In this regard, the Author wonders
whether the provisions established by the privacy legislation and art. 8 of the
Workers' Statute provide effective protection to the data that the worker shares
on social network
Corsi e ricorsi dell’eterodirezione
The Author retraces the recurring crises of heterodirection in order to
verify whether this latter element can still be considered the heart of
subordination. In particular, the recent legislative changes regarding smart
working and “employer-organized work” confirm the continuing centrality of
heterodirection in the process of qualifying an employment relationship
Il diritto di critica alla prova dei social network
The author emphasises the negative effects that the use of social
networks can have on the employment relationship. In particular, the analysis
focuses on the interactions between the use of social networks and the right to
criticism. More broadly, the essay develops by reconstructing the limits to the
right to criticism in relation to the obligation of loyalty. In carrying out this
research, the fact emerges that the boundaries of legitimacy of the exercise of
the right of criticism cannot be identified theoretically, but must take into
account a number of specific situations in which the same right is exercised.
Therefore, it was appropriate to introduce distinctions, through a critical
analysis of those that have emerged in case la
Paraganglioma of the prostate in a young adult
Extraadrenal pheochromocytomas, or paragangliomas, are rare and potentially malignant tumors that may occur in extraadrenal chromaffin tissue. The determination of malignant or benign represents the crucial point once the diagnosis has been established. We report a case of a 33-year-old man with an incidental paraganglioma involving the prostate. He underwent nerve-sparing radical retropubic prostatectomy and monolateral lymphadenectomy. Urinary continence was complete on postoperative day 5, and the patient had intercourse 2 weeks after surgery. The follow-up was at 24 months with no evidence of recurrent disease on clinical examination or body scan evaluation
Relationships between Tigriopus fulvus (Crustacea: Copepoda) and aerobic bacteria in the ligurian rockpools
Treatment of posterior hypospadias by the autologous graft of cultured urethral epithelium.
Keratinocytes derived from normal human skin can be cultivated in vitro to form a stratified patch of epidermis suitable for grafting on the sites of burns and skin defects caused by the removal of giant nevi or chronic leg ulcers. Autologous skin keratinocytes have been successfully used to line the mastoid cavities of patients with postoperative otorrhea. In vitro experiments and long-term studies of burn patients treated with autografts grown in vitro from cultured cells suggest that keratinocytes possess an intrinsic capacity for site-specific differentiation that is fully expressed when grafts of cultured epidermis are transplanted to different parts of the body. Epithelial cells derived from the palate and cultivated in vitro are also capable of reconstituting palatal epithelium after transplantation. These findings prompted us to investigate the possibility of culturing urethral cells to form urethral mucosa in vitro. We report here the reconstitution in vitro of human urethral mucosa and the subsequent successful autologous transplantation of it to form the anterior urethra in two patients with congenital hypospadias
The biotic plankton community and eutrophication in coastal regions of the Gulf of Genoa.
Information of the results of the sampling carried out from May to September 1989 for the study of the biotic plankton community at three fixed stations in the Gulf of Genoa, locations affected by discharges from urban purification plant and rain water, are shown. The zooplankton sampling was performed using a standard net (WP2, mesh size 200 um), the phytoplankton and nutrient samples were taken with reversing water bottles and the bacteria sampled with a sterile bottle fitted with a closing mechanism. The catches were supported by hydrological data (Temperature, salinity, dissolved oxygen, pH) obtained using a multiparameter probe. The plankton community was studied both for quantity and quality, determining the most representative group of the zooplankton and the phytoplankton. The phytoplankton biomass was evaluated by measuring chlorophyll “a” while the total bacteria count was performed using the marine agar on plate count method. Bacteria resistant to mercury and chrome were investigated, as an indirect indication of pollution from these heavy metals, with negative result. Self-purifying test were performed on samples of water from the three sample stations, these tests have produced dispersion times for 90% of total Escherichia coli load from 6.9 to 20.9 hours

Role of p53 mutations on survival after pancreatoduodenectomy for ductal adenocarcinoma of the pancreatic head.
BACKGROUND/AIMS - To determine the role of p53 mutations on survival after pancreatoduodenectomy for adenocarcinoma of the pancreatic head.
METHODOLOGY - Resected specimens were assessed for expression of wild-type or mutated p53. Survival of p53-negative and- positive patients was investigated, and differences noted at 0.05 level.
RESULTS - Expression of wild-type p53 is associated with a significant improvement in overall survival, especially for patients without nodal metastases.
CONCLUSIONS - Preoperative p53 determination could enable further patient selection for aggressive surgery
