    Fan impeler optimisation based on geometry changes with experimental verification

    V diplomski nalogi sem izvedel meritve vpliva spremembe geometrije ventilatorskega kolesa in optimalno dimenzioniral rotor glede na zadane cilje, kateri so bili povečanje pretoka in zmanjšanje tlaka. Uporaba takšnega rotorja je smiselna tam kjer ventilator prosto sesa in ni potrebe po premagovanju uporov v sistem zato tudi ni potrebe po doseganju visokih tlakov. S takšnim rotorjem smo energijsko varčnejši, saj porabimo manj energije in pozitivno vplivamo na naše okolje v katerem živimo.In this thesis I conducted measurements of the impact of changes in geometry of the impeler and optimal dimenzioning impeler in relation to its objectives, which were to increase airflow and reduce pressure drop. Use of such a rotor is reasonable there, where free suction is needed and thus no needs for achiving higher pressure drops. Such impellers are energy-saving, since less energy is needed and have a positive impact on our environment in which we live

    V diplomski nalogi je predstavljena energetska bilanca reke Mure ter možnosti in omejitve pri izkoriščanju le-te. Predstavljena sta dva načina izkoriščanja Murinega hidropotenciala, in sicer z verigo hidroelektrarn s Kaplanovimi turbinami, kot je bilo predvideno v podeljeni koncesiji, in s hidroelektrarnami z Matričnimi turbinami. Pri obeh postopkih smo opisali njuno delovanje ter predstavili njune prednosti in slabosti pri umestitvi v reko Muro. Pri hidroelektrarnah s Kaplanovimi turbinami smo izhajali iz podatkov predvidenih v koncesiji, pri hidroelektrarnah z Matričnimi turbinami, ki pa je dokaj nov postopek izkoriščanja hidropotenciala, pa smo vse potrebne podatke izračunali. Za potrebe primerjave obeh postopkov smo imeli skupni imenovalec, in sicer količino proizvedene električne energije, in tako smo objektivno primerjali znana dejstva ter izračunane tehnične in ekonomske vrednosti pri uporabi obeh postopkov.In this diploma work, the energy balance of the Mura River and the possibilities and restrictions of its exploitation is presented. Presented are two models for the exploitation of Mura River’s hydro potential, namely with hydro power stations with Kaplan turbines, as it was planned in the granted concession, and with hydro power station with Matrix turbines. In both procedures for producing electrical energy their main activities are described and their advantages and disadvantages at its installation in the Mura River are introduced. For the hydro power stations with Kaplan turbines, we used the data predicted in the concession. For hydro power station with Matrix turbines – a rather new procedure for utilizing hydro potential - we have calculated all the necessary data. For the comparison of both procedures we considered common denominator - the amount of produced electrical energy - and we objectively compared known facts and calculated technical and economic values of both procedures

    Idejna študija male hidroelektrarne Malenščica je izdelana s ciljem ugotoviti smiselnost koriščenja danega vodotoka. Podane so možne rešitve in primerjava danih rešitev. Izdelana je tudi groba ocena stroškov ter ocena časa povrnitve stroškov investicije. Na osnovi preračunov je izbrana najboljša rešitev.A case study of a small hydroelectric power station Malenščica has been done with a goal to ensure reasonableness of using the given water current. There have been possible solutions and a comparison of the given solutions given. A rough estimation has been done and the estimation of repayment time of the investment. According to the calculus, the best solution has been chosen

    Analysis and testing of horizontal wind turbine model

    Diplomsko dela zajema modeliranje, izdelavo ter meritve na modelski trilopatični turbini, s profilom lopatic NREL S825 in premerom rotorja 936 mm. S programskim paketom SolidWorks je bil kreiran model turbine, ki smo ga nato izdelali s postopkom 3D tiskanja na dveh različnih tiskalnikih. Na izdelanem fizičnem modelu smo nato v vetrovniku opravili meritve sil in vibracij, povzročenih s strani vetrne turbine. Iz meritev smo izračunali delno karakteristiko moči, saj smo bili navzgor omejeni s številom obratov vetrne turbine zaradi slabih lastnosti materiala, iz katerega je bil narejen model. Rezultate smo prikazali tabelarično in grafično.The thesis involves modeling, creation and measurments of three-bladed model wind turbine, with airfoil NREL S826 and rotor diameter of 936 mm. Turbine model was designed using SolidWorks design software. Model was later created using two different technologies of 3D printing. Force and vibration measurements were conducted in the wind tunnel. Measured results were used to calculate the power curve. Due to using ABS polymer as wind turbine construction material, maximal rotational speed of wind turbine was limited. The results are arranged in tables and graphicaly displayed

    Magistrska naloga, mala hidroelektrarna na reki Sopoti, je izdelana z namenom in ciljem ugotoviti smiselnost koriščenja tega vodnega vira. Izbira in obdelava te teme me je pritegnila iz tega razloga, ker je tu nekoč že obratovala mala hidroelektrarna, ki pa so jo približno pred dvajsetimi leti ustavili. V nalogi sem zajel in predstavil zakonodajo in postopke, ki so potrebni pri izvedbi takega projekta. Na splošno je, moja ugotovitev, da so v naši državi ti administrativni postopki preveč zahtevni, še bolj pa komplicirano zastavljeni. Na koncu naloge sem v ekonomski analizi prikazal in dokazal, z določenimi metodami , da je smiselno postaviti tako elektrarno in jo koristiti kot stalen obnovljiv vir.The master\u27s thesis »The small hydro plant on the riverSopota«(Mala hidroelektrarna na reki Sopoti) is written with an aim to asses the benefits of employing the previously mentioned hydro plant as anenergy source. The theme and its analysis intrigued me due to the fact that thepower plant used to be operational but closed its doors nearly twenty years ago. The thesis comprises of the presentation of the legislation and the legislativeprocedures needed for the execution of such a project. I have come to theconclusion that these administrative procedures are too overwhelming in ourcountry and moreover, complicated. In the economic analysis at the end of the thesis I have demonstrated and proventhat the setting up and employment of such a hydro plant as a renewable energysource is reasonable
