The same band also performs "Joshua Fit the Battle of Jericho", joined by Sister Rosetta Tharpe (vocal and guitar) and "Lonesome Road", also with Tharpe (vocal and guitar). At 13:40, Bassist Charles Mingus with tenor saxophonist Booker Ervin plays his "Prayer for Passive Resistance". At 22:05, Bud Powell plays solo piano on "Sweet and Lovely".
