Diagnosis. All body parts dark testaceous, much darker than in M. roudieri, claws not evidently distinct in colour from tarsal segments (Figs 4–7). Scales on elytra slightly longer and more piliform than in M. roudieri, not as dense and numerous when aggregated in spots, often longer than width of elytral interval (Fig. 10). Rostrum of similar length in both sexes, in male 0.98–1.09 × as long as pronotum and 2.58–2.76 × as long as its maximum width (Fig. 5), in female 1.08–1.22 × as long as pronotum and 3.20–3.31 × as long as wide (Fig. 6), thus in females much shorter than in M. roudieri. In both sexes antennal insertion much closer to rostrum base than eye length (♂: 0.64–0.85 ×, ♀: 0.71–0.85 ×); in female scape shorter than maximum rostrum width (0.87–0.93 ×) and 3 rd funicular segment barely elongate. Pronotum in male 1.27–1.51 ×, in female 1.50 × as wide as head. Elytra 1.73–1.85 × wider than pronotum, in male mid-length/base width 1.27–1.35, in female 1.49–1.52 × as long as wide. In male profemur slightly thinner than rostrum width (0.92–0.97), protibia weakly arched, 4.71–5.00 × as long as wide; in female protibia 0.96–1.00 as long as pronotum. Male. Spiculum gastrale with apodeme longer than fork (Fig. 24). Tegminal plate with ventral layer lighter medially; sclerotisation of parameroid lobes not expanded to apical lobes; fenestrae with small, fully transparent areas (Figs 21, 22). Aedeagal apodemes 0.75 × as long as pedon; tectum wide, rounded apically; pedon about 3.4 × as long as wide; endophallus densely microspinose (Figs 28, 29). Female. Details of terminalia in as in M. roudieri.Published as part of Wanat, Marek & Poussereau, Jacques, 2019, Mascarapion, a new genus of the Apioninae (Coleoptera, Curculionoidea) from the Mascarene Islands, pp. 343-350 in Zootaxa 4615 (2) on page 349, DOI: 10.11646/zootaxa.4615.2.6, http://zenodo.org/record/324474

Body entirely orange-testaceous, black claws contrasting well with much lighter tarsal segments (Figs 1–3). Scales on elytra fine, hair-like, not longer than width of elytral interval (Fig. 9). Rostrum markedly distinctly sexually dimorphic in length, in male 1.07–1.21 as long as pronotum (Fig. 1) and 2.84–3.20 as long as its maximum width, in female 1.45–1.61 × as long as pronotum and 4.38–4.81 × as long as wide (Fig. 8). The distance between antennal pit and rostrum base longer than (in female 1.14–1.23 ×) or subequal (in male 0.91–1.04 ×) to eye length; in female scape longer than maximum rostrum width (1.07–1.22) and 3 rd funicular segment 1.2–1.3 × as long as wide. Pronotum in male 1.65–1.70 ×, in female 1.60–1.65 × as wide as head. Elytra 1.59–1.76 × as wide as pronotum, in male at mid-length 1.21–1.28 × as wide as at base, in female 1.56–1.63 × as long as wide. In male profemur as thick or slightly thicker than rostrum width (1.00–1.06), protibia straight, 5.44–5.90 × as long as wide; in female protibia 1.04–1.11 × as long as pronotum. Male. Spiculum gastrale with apodeme no longer than fork (Fig. 24). Tegminal plate with evenly sclerotized ventral layer; sclerotisation of parameroid lobes narrowly extended to apical lobes along inner margins; fenestrae not transparent, with unclear margins (Figs 19, 20). Aedeagal apodemes 0.65 × as long as pedon; tectum narrowed apically; pedon about 3.8 × as long as wide; endophallus densely microspinose (Figs 26, 27). Female. Tergite 8 subtruncate, with several long setae along apical margin. Ovipositor as in Fig. 16, coxites weakly divergent; styli with several apical setae shorter than stylar length. Bursa unilobed. Spermatheca as in Fig. 17, with thin duct and shapeless gland.Published as part of Wanat, Marek & Poussereau, Jacques, 2019, Mascarapion, a new genus of the Apioninae (Coleoptera, Curculionoidea) from the Mascarene Islands, pp. 343-350 in Zootaxa 4615 (2) on pages 347-349, DOI: 10.11646/zootaxa.4615.2.6, http://zenodo.org/record/324474
Mascarapion mauritii Wanat & Poussereau 2019, new comb.
Mascarapion mauritii (Beguin-Billecocq, 1905), new comb.
Apion mauritii Beguin-Billecocq, 1905: 142.

The type specimen of this little known species has not been detected in L. Beguin-Billecocq’s collection at MNHN by the senior author. No other material was available for this study, except for the image by Harry Taylor (BMNH) published at ‘Beetles of Mauritius’ website http://mauritiusbeetles.myspecies.info/gallery?page=6 (Motala et al., 2009), allowing for unambiguous placement of this species in the genus Mascarapion. It is at first glance distinct from M. roudieri and M. richardi in having tri-colored vestiture on the elytra, with pure white scales forming a small, isolated postscutellar spot.
Published as part of Wanat, Marek & Poussereau, Jacques, 2019, Mascarapion, a new genus of the Apioninae (Coleoptera, Curculionoidea) from the Mascarene Islands, pp. 343-350 in Zootaxa 4615 (2) on page 349, DOI: 10.11646/zootaxa.4615.2.6, http://zenodo.org/record/3244740

New and interesting species of ground beetles from Reunion Island (Coleoptera, Carabidae)
The authors report the presence of Acupalpus vadoni Jeannel, 1948, on Reunion Island and describe the male characters of Neocolpodes poussereaui Deuve, 2007. They also describe Harpalus poussereaui n. sp. from Les Makes, Bon-Accueil Forest, a species closely related to H. brunnipes Dejean, 1829, and H. pecinai Hovorka, 2006.Espèces de Carabiques nouvelles et remarquables de l'île de la Réunion (Coleoptera, Carabidae).
