IMAGIARO I SLOVESKA KULTURA IDETIFIKACIJA
Following Castoriadis\u27 theory of social imaginary, as well as N. Frye\u27s and Riceour\u27s concept of narrative construction of society, the author shows a possibilty to use the notion of »founding myth« in the discussion of the Slovenian national identification. The founding myth is understood as a means of homogenisation which takes part in the process of constituting the social imaginary significations. The constitution of the founding myth is intertwined with material praxis and with the so called stock responses. The author shows some of the key mechanisms that have been involved in the formation of the Slovenian national identification, especially the feeling of endangerment and the bifocality of identification, which are both understood as stock responses. The 19th Century and the rise of jansenism were crucial in forming these stock responses, thus the author gives a brief description of the magazine Novice which has been established in 1848
Raba podobja in avtonomnost pesniške pozicije (nekaj opazk ob mlajši slovenski liriki)
Decreased use of metaphors, denotative language, and autonomy of the author in relation to society seem to be the key features of a current of poetry in the post-independence years that may be described as intimistic. Their autonomous stance in particular may be interpreted as heterodoxy in regard to their predecessors, as well as a revitalisation of pre-modernist, broadly speaking Romantic tendencies
Prostor kot konstitutivni element kanadske imaginacije in njenih retoričnih ubeseditev
Članek obravnava razumevanje prostora v kanadskem nacionalnem mitu. The article is a case study analyzing space as part of the Canadian national myth. Following a short study of two typical renderings of the relation between space and its rhetoric counterparts (in the poetry of John Newlove and E. J. Pratt), the author offers a critical overview of the Canadian imaginary of space as predominantly constituted in the works of E. J. Pratt, Northrop Frye, and Margaret Atwood, as well as an overview of their poststructuralist detractors

Znova o Northupu Freyu, podobe kulture v kontekstu kanadskega kritištva
Responding to a prevailing critique of Northrop Frye\u27s studies of Canadian culture, the author of the paper combines Frye\u27s Canadian essays with his general theory in order to demonstrate that Frye\u27s use of the term imagination, similarly to Iser\u27s notion of "imaginary", allows a differentiation of the social imaginary and the fictive. Frye has provided a background for treatment of the fictive as aesthetic structure and has employed the study of Canadian culture primarily as a specific tool to describe literature with a disturbed aesthetic structure.
