I Macrolepidotteri italiani - Fauna Lepidopterorum Italiae (Macrolepidoptera). Con allegato in .pdf: 1-1051
More than sixty years after the publication of “Fauna Lepidopterorum Italiae” by Mariani, it is considered necessary to update the knowledge about Macrolepidoptera distribution in Italy.
This paper proposes some thirty years of research and reasoned biblio- graphical references collection plus new collection data. The job allows to col- late the today most complete body of information about Italian macrolepi- doptera.
Unfortunately printing the whole catalogue will result into a more than 800 pages book. So that it was preferred to print a concise full list of species containing: the reference for the species described from Italy; relatedloci typici;some notes and the concise list of regions where they are collected.
By side you find the CD containing the complete text with further infor- mation: a plenty of new collection data; the analytical occurrence of the species in region; the species occurrence that refers to the actual collection year and time of flight and is split in fifty (ante 1901) and twenty-five (from 1901) years time lapse; first and last regional reference.
Totally 2388 species are listed, taxonomically sorted, and ranked with an index number useful from the index name search .
Reference data flow from 3526 references published from 1713 to 31st December 2005 plus few selected paper in press during 2006. All references are fully listed and ordered by publication date. Each reference is ranked

with an index number you find in the text in place of the more usual Author’s name and reference year. The use of this index number helps to make concise the body of the text.
Some papers are still unavailable, of course. The “not seen” references are marked by an “*”. The data reported in not seen references are treated as “second hand information” arising from other papers.
Second hand information is often referred to ante-1800 bibliographical source. Very old reports or books have not been ignored to allow us a better understand of the Lepidoptera knowledge during ages
Morfologia degli stadi larvali di Habronyx heros Wesmael (Ichneumonidae - Anomaloninae) con note di biologia
The author describes the larva! features of Habronyx heros Wesmael (Hymenoptera, Ichneu- monidae, Anomaloninae). The five larva! instars were on, the first of which was caudate and the others worm-like. The morphologicals details of the head were studied: the first instar had strongly schlerotized mandibles and well shaped maxilae and an inferior labrum with sensilla; the second instar was ligthly schlerotized, while the third, fourth and fifth instars showed a pro- gressive thickening of the peristoma, the dorsal half of the head and the inferior labrum. The key for last instar larvae (from Gauld, 1976) was modified according to the hypostomal spur varia- bility ecountered.
The !ife cycle and the competition among larvae into the host was observed and outlined
Iron from the Sky. The meteoritic origin of Tutankhamun’s iron dagger
Since Howard Carter’s discovery in 1925 1, the meteoritic origin of the iron dagger blade from the sarcophagus of the ancient Egyptian King Tutankhamun (14th Century BC), part of the King’s funerary collection now at the Egyptian Museum of Cairo, has been the subject of debate. In this presentation, we report on the work carried out by the author in collaboration with Comelli et al. (2016). It is shown that the composition of Tutankhamun’s iron dagger blade (Fe plus 10.8 wt% Ni and 0.58 wt% Co), accurately determined through portable x-ray fluorescence spectrometry, strongly supports its meteoritic origin. This study confirms that ancient Egyptians attributed great value to precious objects made by meteoritic iron. However, it is as yet unclear if such dagger blade made of meteoritic iron was manufactured in Egypt or imported from Anatolia
Foucault, Goffmann and the poisoned gifts in New Media Studies
Ivo Stefano Germano and Giorgio Porcelli question whether a space for critical theory is still possible in the digital context. Which are the cultural and communicative limits of a possible hermeneutics of the new media studies? The problematic dimension of authors such as Goffman, Foucault, Godbout in relation to the enhancement of the gift in the networked society is addressed both as a declination of the logics of the transformative power of the converging platforms and as a cultural and communicative process that cannot be excluded. The gift as the coexistence of pre-technological symbolic artifacts is distinguished from the many (too many?) false gifts of the network

Viscous resistive magnetic reconnection
A unified linear analysis of viscous effects on resistive internal kink and tearing modes in current carrying magnetized plasmas is presented. The plasma is modeled by single‐fluid magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) equations extended to include the dissipative processes caused by finite cross‐field viscosity (μ⊥) and parallel electrical resistivity (η∥). Two parameters suffice to characterize the relevant instability regimes: the ideal stability parameter ΛH, which is proportional to the minimum value of the energy functional δW, and the viscosity parameter V∝μ⊥/η∥. Both positive and negative values of ΛH are considered to simulate the effect of varying the geometry of the plasma. Analytic expressions are found using generalized Fourier techniques for the mode structure and growth rate for arbitrary values of ΛH and V. Within the scope of the present model, the transverse viscosity slows down the growth of the linear mode, but it does not remove the instability. Novel instability regimes are investigated. For moderate values of the plasma viscosity parameter (V<1), the most important effect is on tearing modes, where the usual ordering for the mode growth rate γ∼η3/5∥ is modified into γ∼η5/6∥μ−1/6⊥, while the width of the viscous‐resistive layer is found to scale as δ∼η1/6∥μ1/6⊥. The same scaling for δ is obtained near the ideal‐MHD marginal stability threshold (‖ΛH‖<1); however, this requires a larger viscosity (V>1). The width of the ‘‘viscous‐inertial'' layer is instead independent of viscosity on the ideal‐MHD unstable side of the spectrum (ΛH>1)
The Evaluation of Standard Expenditure Needs of Municipalities: The Case of Social Care Services in Italy
This paper is a policy report providing an overview of the recent Italian experience in the evaluation of the standard expenditure needs of municipalities (6702 elected local authorities of regions with ordinary statutes), discussing in detail the main technical choices and the final methodologies adopted in relation to the mainstream methods reported in the economic literature and developed by other countries. For simplicity, the paper is focused on the social care sector (which absorbs more than 20% of municipal current expenditure), the methodological approach being the same in the case of other local services
