    Portrait of Reverend Dr. Abram David Pollock Gilmour. Abram David Pollock Gilmour (1876-1948) was born in Helenburgh, Scotland. He came to the United States with his family as a child, and they settled in Virginia. Gilmour attended Hampden-Sydney College, Union Theological Seminary, and Princeton Theological Seminary. Gilmour was licensed as a minister by the East Hanover Presbytery in the Synod of Virginia and worked as a pastor in a number of different Presbyterian churches before beginning at Wilmington's First Presbyterian Church. He was also involved with a number of the church's activities nationwide. Gilmour is buried in Hollywood Cemetery in Richmond, VA
