Research on Collaborative Processes in Non Hierarchical Manufacturing Networks
Collaborative networks research has increased over the last years due
to the advantages experienced by the enterprises that establish collaboration. In
this paper, a set of relevant collaborative processes are identified in the
literature and analysed considering their specific application in non-hierarchical
manufacturing networks (NHN). Besides, collaboration within networked
partners is enhanced through designing a roadmap to deal with the migration
path towards collaborative processes establishment. Currently, the research aim
is focused on modelling the network and the collaborative processes,
established within the partners, through a mathematical model that identifies the
collaboration objects. In this context, experts will be able to promote the
establishment of collaboration, analyse the processes performed within a
network and consider their redesign/design towards collaboration. The model
would identify the objects of collaboration, in order to be analysed and thus
serve as a tool to improve the enterprises performance and, consequently, the
network performance.Andrés, B.; Poler, R. (2014). Research on Collaborative Processes in Non Hierarchical Manufacturing Networks. Supporting the Strategies Alignment Process in Collaborative Networks
[EN] The establishment of collaborative relationships with the network partners provides them important advantages, such as competitiveness and agility, when responding to the current rapid market evolutions. Nonetheless, the partic‐ ipation in collaborative networks becomes a complex process that starts with the alignment of all the enterprises objectives and strategies. Smart systems and approaches are needed in order support collaborative partners to deal with the strategies alignment challenge. The lack of alignment emerges because each enterprise defines its own objectives and strategies, to perform their business, and it could happen that non-compatible strategies are activated, involving the appear‐ ance of conflicts between strategies of different enterprises. To this regard, a decision support system is proposed, consisting of a mathematical model, a system dynamics method, a simulation tool and a guideline, with the main aim of supporting the process of identifying aligned strategies, among the enterprises of the collaborative network. This work has been funded in part by Programa Val i+d para investigadores en formación (ACIF 2012).Andres, B.; Poler, R. A Holistic Algorithm for Materials Requirement Planning in Collaborative Networks
[EN] Collaboration has increasingly been considered a key topic within the small and medium-sized enterprises, allowing dealing with the intense competitiveness of today¿s globalised markets. The European H2020 Cloud Collaborative Manufacturing Networks Project proposes mechanisms to encourage collaboration among enterprises, through the computation of collaborative plans. Particularly, this paper focuses on the proposal of a holistic algorithm to deal with the automated and collaborative calculation of the Materials Requirement Plan. The proposed algorithm is validated in a collaborative network belonging to the automotive industry. The research leading to these results is in the frame of the “Cloud Collaborative Manufacturing Networks” (C2NET) project, which has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No.

Dealing with the Alignment of Strategies Within the Collaborative Networked Partners
Part 2: Collaborative NetworksInternational audienceOver the last years, enterprises awareness towards establishing collaborative processes has significantly grown due to the benefits obtained when participating in a collaborative network (CN). This paper is a continuation of the work developed by Andres and Poler [1] in which a set of collaborative processes are identified. This paper particularly focuses on the strategies alignment (SA) process, highlighting its influence on the success of a CN. A preliminary framework is outlined to address the collaborative process of SA, consisting of a model, a method and a methodology. Highlighting the importance of the use of cloud-based systems to support small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to deal with the SA process. The implementation of the proposed framework allows identifying what are the strategies that are aligned and how its activation increases the network performance, resulting in more stable and sustainable collaborative relationships, and assuring the proper operation of the CNs
An Information Management Conceptual Approach for the Strategies Alignment Collaborative Process
[EN] This paper proposes an information management approach to deal with the strategies alignment collaborative process. Much attention has been given to the information management in collaborative networks (CNs), resulting in a wide variety of information management approaches and frameworks. The treatment, estimation, and collection of data are key issues that still need to be addressed, due to the complexity associated with the information exchange and the need to build trust relationships within the CN. In order to address this literature gap, this paper presents an approach to manage information in the specific collaborative process of strategies alignment. The approach is composed of a methodology, that enables to identify the roles participating in the application of the collaborative process, select the collaborative application context, determine the level of collaboration to be applied, and estimate and gather the data required to feed the strategies alignment process. The proposed information management approach bridges the conceptual model of strategies alignment process, with its application in real-world CNs.This work has received funding from the European Union's Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No 872548 "Fostering DIHs for Embedding Interoperability in Cyber-Physical Systems of European SMEs" (DIH4CPS) (http://dih4cps.eu/).Andres, B.; Poler, R.
