Monitoring cardiovascular functional characteristics smart “CareWare” system for different exercises.
Problem - The society is rapidly aging and life-threatening diseases are rapidly developing in the young and are damaging to young and healthy people. The cardiovascular system is the most important organ system that supplies the whole body with essential nutrients. The cardiovascular system is one of the systems that is poorly cared and trained. As a result of medical advancement and healthy life, scientists began to develop smart devices and textiles that could monitor and record data on smart systems in real time. These intelligent systems are tested and refined to enable people to use them for rehabilitation, testing and health promotion purposes. Such devices can serve people with heart conditions in exercise or after cardiac surgery to restore heart function as quickly and as efficiently as possible. ObjectiveThe aim of the study is to determine the cardiovascular characteristics of the various exercises during the exercise by monitoring the smart “CareWare” system. Tasks: 1. Identify the features of the cardiovascular system during the traditional aerobic and intermediate exercise exercises, by monitoring the functional state of the „CareWare“ smart system. 2. Determine the accuracy of the fitness of the trained Smart wire „CareWare“ system to modify the activity activity according to the individual physiological limits set. 3. Compare the sensitivity of the heart rate and dynamic interfaces between the ECG indices by evaluating the limits of healthy exercise in different exercises Methodology - Eight volunteers will conduct traditional and intermediate endurance training with a veleoergometer. During the traditional endurance training session, you will need a 25-minute bike ride, setting the load according to the individually calculated heart rate. During the interval training, the veloergometer should be used at maximum capacity until the heart rate reaches an individually defined limit, repeat 3-4 times, and rest between the pitchers. During the training, an electrocardiogram (ECG registration and analysis system Kaunas-Krūvis, “CareWare” smart functional monitoring system developed by LSU scientists and partners) and measured blood pressure are recorded. No intervention or potentially harmful procedures will be performed. The study will take no more than 50 minutes, two training days. Results– The“CareWare” system during traditional aerobic exercises observes changes in heard rate, JT, and QRS within the physiological norm. All indicators recorded by Smart “CareWare” system coincided with the registration of analogous indicators with Kaunas-Kruvys system. The RR-QRS discriminator shows whether an investigator reaches or exceeds the limits of healthy exercise. Heart rate changes do not reflect these states. Conclusions - The “CareWare” system during traditional aerobic exercises observes changes in heart rate, JT, and QRS within the physiological norm, as well as a slight exceedance of the UN range over these intervals during the interval exercise exercise. All indicators recorded by Smart “CareWare” system coincided with the registration of analogous indicators with Kaunas-Kruvys system. Less than 5 percent from missed individual physiological limits, 89 percent Smart “CareWare” system commands change the nature of the activity during the interval exercise exercise. The fact that the load reached or exceeded the maximum limits of healthy exercise showed a rise in the RR - QRS discriminatory, while the heart rate did not disclose these limits, therefore, for the purpose of ensuring the security of exercises, only heart rate monitoring is not sufficient
A study of the health-related quality of life of industrial workers.
With the introduction of new technologies, technical measures and the increasing productivity, various companies are more often choosing to invest in a safe and healthy work environment as well as the health of their staff. The ultimate goal of these investments is a higher quality of life for employees. This thesis is relevant because it examines the thus far less-studied yet pertinent issue of the health-related quality of life of employees. The aim of the study – to assess the health-related quality of life of Lithuanian industrial workers. The study involved 203 individuals working in companies where the study was conducted, working in both office and manufacturing. The selection criteria were people of working age without severe chronic illnesses. Subjects ranged in age from 20 to 65 years. Conclusions: 1. Both male and female industrial workers rated the physical health areas better than the mental health areas. The physical health domains of the quality of life were rated better in men than women. 2. The youngest participants between ages 20-35 had the best evaluation of the health-related quality of life, while in older age groups this evaluation declined with age. 3. A positive correlation between general daily physical activity and the many domains of health-related quality of life was observed in all age groups. In ages 35-50, health-related quality of life had the most positive correlations with physical activity during exercise, whereas in ages 50-65 – during leisure
Musculoskeletal pain and health-related quality of life in nurses.
The aim of this study was to assess the impact of musculoskeletal pain on the health-related quality of life of nurses. Research methods. The research involved 116 healthy working age female nurses and 307 other healthy working age respondents, working in other economic activities. The following research instruments were used for the questionnaire survey: SF-36 quality of life assessment questionnaire and pain questionnaire. Results. The results of the study showed that 84% nurses experienced pain in the musculoskeletal system. Nurses experienced lower back pain and knee pain more frequently and shoulder pain less often than women in other professions (69.4% and 43.2%, respectively; 24.7% and 10.2%, respectively; 14.8% and 30.1%, respectively). The majority of nurses rated their health as good (47.6%) or very good (35.2%), but nurses with musculoskeletal pain rated their physical participation worse (72.3% and 95.3%, respectively) ), pain (58.3% and 80.8%, respectively) and emotional well-being domains (53.7% and 71.2%, respectively) than non-pain nurses. Conclusions: 1. Pain in the musculoskeletal system was experienced by 84% of nurses, lower back, shoulder, neck and knee pain are the most common. Nurses were more likely to experience low back and knee pain and less likely to experience shoulder pain than women in other professions. 2. Most nurses rated their health as good or very good, but nurses rated the health-related quality of life domains of pain, emotional well-being, and fatigue worse than women in other professions. 3. Nurses with musculoskeletal pain scored worse in the domains of physical participation, pain and emotional well-being than nurses without pain
Cardiovascular system changes of functional condition after short term fasting.
Hyphotesis – Short-term fasting affects cardiovascular system’s characteristics during rest and exercise, these affects can be assessed by using electrocardiogram registration. The aim of this study was to determine the changes in cardiovascular system after 48 hours of fasting. Objectives of this research: 1) To establish effects of 48 hours fasting on blood pressure changes during rest, exercise and recovery. 2) To establish effects of 48 hours fasting on electrocardiographic parameters during rest, exercise and recovery. 3) To establish effects of 48 hours fasting on autonomic nervous system. 12 men participated in this research (age – 26,2, height – 180,6 m, weight – 87,9 kg). After 48 hours of short term fasting they performed incremental veloergometer exercise test. Test began with 3 min. of rest, 5 min. of incremental veloergometer exercise and 5 min. of recovery time. The standard 12 Lead Electrocardiographic parameters and arterial blood pressure were measured during test. Conclusions of research: 1) After 48 hours fasting we observe decrease in systolic and diastolic arterial blood pressure at rest. During incremental load we monitor lower growth of systolic blood pressure and greater decline in diastolic blood pressure. Significant differences in arterial blood pressure during exercise recovery were not observed after 48 hours of fasting. 2) Longer JT interval during rest was observed after 48 hours fasting, that shows slower myocardial metabolism. There were no significant differences in the JT interval change during incremental load and recovery. For some participants, prolongation of the QRS complex duration was observed during heavy workload and 48 hours of fasting increased this effect. 3) After 48 hours fasting in autonomic nervous system increased parasympathetic activity was monitored
The effects of interval training and traditional endurance training on cardiovascular system.
The aim of this study was to investigate effect of interval and traditional endurance traing for on cardiovascular system. Participants: 8 healthy participants, 28,38±4.63 years old. Participants BMI was 25,79±4,21. Methods: Participants attendent in 2 different training with veloergometer: the traditional endurance training was 20 minute training and an interval training was performed as a 5 set acceleration training. Electrocardiography was registered 5 minutes before training, during training and 6 minutes after training ,and arterial blood pressure was measured by sphygmomanometer. MS Excel used for statistical analyze. Results: Number of heart rate in interval training was 40% lower than in traditional training. heart rate and arterial blood pressure were normal during traditional training, but at the end of training dynamic interfaces between ECG RR and QRS started weak. During interval training systolic blood pressure changed a little, but diastolic blood pressure got big change. After 6 minutes of rest in both training there was residual physical occurrence in ECG, but after interval training it was statistically significant (p<0,05).. Conclusions: during traditional training dynamic interfaces between ECG RR and QRS started to weak and it showed that for some participants the load reached or even exceeded the maximum limits for healthy training. Significant bigger mobilization during training and bigger residual physical effects after training could explain the effects of interval training on organism.in some participants during interval training ECG ST segment depression was registered significant, it showed functional ischemic occurrence in myocardium, therefore interval training could be used after cardiovascular analysis

Lower back pain is a disease of the musculoskeletal system that causes public health, socio -economic problems. Lower back pain is one of the main causes of disability to reduce the welfare and productivity of employees (Mengist, Demmm, Alem, 2021). Objective: To assess the pain of the lower back, the restrictions incurred by pain and health -related life Methodology: In determining the links between the lower back pain, the restrictions on pain and health-related life, a questionnaire consisting of three parts was selected: 1. SF36 Questionnaire. 2. Rolland-Morris Functional Disability Questionnaire First question. 3. Visual pain scale questionnaire (VAS). The study included two respondents working in two Kaunas institutions at 120, 21-70 years. Results and conclusions: 1. The lower back pain was felt by 50 percent of women studied and 60.3 percent of men studied. 45.2 percent. women and 54.8 percent. Men suffered daily restrictions on lower back pain. The pain of the lower back and its restrictions were more common in a group of men. 2. Feeling pain in the lower back worse assessed their physical activity related to health -related quality of life, and a weak statistically significant negative correlation link between physical activity assessment and pain intensity was found. 3.The subjects who have suffered daily restrictions on lower back pain in the lower back of their overall quality of health have been a weak statistically significant negative correlation between Ands restrictions and general health and social functioning assessments
Industrial company employees cardiovascular endurance and health-related quality of life.
The aim - of the study was to determine the cardiovascular endurance and health-related quality of life of industrial workers and their relationship to working age groups. Research methods. The study involved 223 respondents of working age (20–62 years) - 132 women and 91 men. The SF-36 questionnaire was used to assess health-related quality of life, allowing physical and mental assessment to be assessed 4 weeks prior to the study. cardiovascular endurance was assessed by the subjects on a Rufier test, with 30 squats in 40 seconds and a heart rate recorded on a Polar heart rate monitor. Results. The results of the survey showed that the majority of respondents rated their health-related quality of life as good or very good. Health-related quality of life was rated best by 20-35 year-olds, with older groups deteriorating in many areas. The mean of the “Rufje” index did not differ statistically significantly between the age groups of the subjects. The rates of men from the youngest to the oldest age group were 3.82 - 5.89 ± 0.45 - 0.88. The female rates ranged from 3.92 to 4.63 ± 0.56 to 0.62. A weak to moderate negative correlation was found between the 51-65-year-old “Rufje” index and most health-related quality-of-life domains. Conclusions: 1. Most of the industrial workers surveyed rated their health-related quality of life as good or very good. The youngest respondents rated health-related quality of life the best, while the quality of life in the older age groups deteriorated. 2.About half of the men and women surveyed had moderate overall endurance, and a quarter of women and a fifth man had good or very good endurance. There was a tendency for more subjects to have poor or very poor endurance in the older age groups, but the mean Rufje index did not differ statistically significantly between the study age groups. 3. Weak to moderate correlations were found between men and women aged 51–65 years between cardiovascular endurance and most health-related areas of quality of life
Pain of the bone-muscle system of emergency medicine workers and the need of physiotherapy.
The aim of the study: The purpose of the study: to determine the pains of the musculoskeletal system and the need for physiotherapy among ambulance workers. Research tasks: 1. To determine the prevalence of pain in the musculoskeletal system and the needs of emergency medical workers 2. To determine the correlations between the work of emergency medicine and the pain experienced by the musculoskeletal system 3. Determine the need for physiotherapy for emergency medical workers Research metods: emergency medicine workers (n=168) participated in a questionnaire survey of quantitative data. The questionnaire was submitted for filling in the online „Google forms“ platform. The survey consisted of a questionnaire of 5 parts. After correlations between groups, a statistically significant difference was found when p<0,05. Results and Conclusions: 1. Pains in the musculoskeletal system feels 87,5 percent of womens and 77,1 percent of men working in emergency medicine service. Most common pains are lumbar back, shoulders, neck-shoulders area and knees pain. Women are statisticall more likely to experience shoulder and knee pain, and use medication for pain relief more often. 2. Two- thirds of emergency medicine workers feel musculoskeletal system pains at the end of work shift, also noticable, that pains are statistically reliably more frequent among workers with longer working experience. According to the employees, the biggest influence on the pain in the is the carrying of heawy weights and uncomfortable working posture. Tension and stress are main contributors to neck and shoulder pain. 3. Half of those who dont experience pain and two- thirds of the respondents experiencing pain believe that physiotherapy is appropriate for all emergency medicine workers. A third of those experiencing pain and half of those not experiencing pain believe that physiotherapy should be used only for those with complaints. Employees who experience pain in the musculoskeletal system are more likely to request individual physiotherapy
Functional characteristics of the torso muscles in persons with back pain.
Research hypothesis: Asymmetry of torso muscle endurance and endurance of abdominal muscles as a significant stabilizer of the spine is an important factor associated with both episodic and chronic back pain. The aim of this study was to investigate characteristics of torso muscle strength endurance in persons with chronic and episodic back pain. Tasks: 1. To determine the endurance of torso muscle strength in chronic back pain, episodic back pain and control groups; 2. to determine the relationship between torso muscle strength endurance and pain intensity in the groups of chronic back pain and episodic back pain; 3. To determine the relationship between torso muscle strength endurance and the nature of work and physical activity. Methods: The study included 125 subjects experiencing lumbar spine pain, who were divided into a chronic back pain group, an episodic back pain group, and a control group. Subjects were examined by Tanita body composition measurement, pain questionnaire, Baecke physical activity questionnaire, Ito back and abdominal muscle endurance test, McGill lateral torso muscle endurance test. Conclusion of the results: 1. Abdominal muscle endurance was lower in individuals with chronic back pain, and abdominal-back muscle imbalance was higher than in individuals with episodic pain and control groups. Abdominal endurance was lower in women with episodic back pain and higher in the abdominal-back muscle imbalance in men compared with controls. 2. In the chronic and episodic pain group, strength endurance of torso muscles and abdominal-back imbalance had moderate correlations with pain intensity. 3. Sedentary subjects had weaker abdominal muscles than those standing. In both male and female groups, torso muscle strength endurance had the most correlated relationships with physical activity in sports
People with spinal cord injury cardiovascular system evaluation in orthostatic test.
Relevance: One of the best ways to research cardiovascular system for patients with spinal cord injuries. Work objective: Identify persons with spinal cord injury and cardiovascular response to Orthostatic sample properties. Two groups: disabled with spinal cord injury (7 subjects), and a control group (7 subjects). They did orthostatic test which was recorded in the standard 12 lead ECG derivation and also the blood pressure was measured. Analysis of the data was assessed like: cardiovascular regulation, myocardial metabolism, the heart of the degree of mobilization and blood pressure response. Results: Spinal cord injury disrupts people of various degrees of cardiovascular system regulation mechanisms, this adversely affect the functional status of these persons. Disabled people cardiovascular system characterized by very slow sympathetic system activation and a slight decrease in diastolic blood pressure during orthostatic test and usual parasympathetic system activation returning to the lying position. The lower and slower heart rate of people with disabilities variation than in the control group during orthostatic test tells us about impaired sympathetic cardiovascular regulation. In the middle of the Orthostatic test, disabled people had reduced cardiac rate and metabolizm than the control group. In contrast to the control group in diastolic blood pressure response - decrease in orthostatic test may tell us about disabel people impaired baroreflex regulation
