Spatial mobility of older monastic communities in Slovenian teritory during the High and Late Middle Ages
Vpenjanje posameznih redovnih hiš cistercijanov in kartuzijanov v hierarhično strukturo prometnega omrežja na Slovenskem v visokem in poznem srednjem veku je potekalo na različnih nivojih. Prostorska mobilnost menihov preučevanih redov je bila omejena s strani redovnih pravil. Hkrati pa je bila spodbujena s strani vsakdanjega življenje znotraj redovne postojanke ter organizacijskih struktur reda.The integration of the individual Cistercian and Carthusian religious houses into the hierarchical structure of the transport network in Slovenia in the High and Late Middle Ages took place at various levels. The spatial mobility of the monks of the studied orders was limited by the rules of the orders. DOCUMENT REGION EXTRACTION FROM DIGITAL IMAGES, TAKEN IN UNCONTROLLED ENVIRONMENT
V magistrskem delu se ukvarjamo s problemom izločanja območja dokumenta iz digitalnih posnetkov zajetih v nekontroliranem okolju. Rezultat dela sta namizna ter mobilna aplikacija, ki omogočata določitev in izločitev območja dokumenta z različnimi metodami. Za rešitev problema določitve implementiramo tri različne metode računalniškega vida, in sicer določitev z barvnim filtriranjem, določitev z izračunom povprečne razlike med svetlostjo regij in določitev s pomočjo Houghove transformacije. Delovanje implementiranih metod preverimo na lastni bazi digitalnih posnetkov, vzpostavljeni z digitalizacijo več dokumentov v nekontroliranih razmerah z različnimi mobilnimi napravami. Testna baza vključuje posnetke z izrazito kot tudi neizrazito mejo HDB. V rezultatih testiranja se kljub relativno majhni testni bazi v primeru metode z barvnim filtriranjem in metode, bazirane na Houghovi transformaciji pokaže vzorec manj uspešne določitve območja na posnetkih, kjer je dokument obdan z neizrazito mejo HDB. Bolje se obnese metoda, ki opravlja določitev območja na osnovi izračuna povprečne razlike med svetlostjo regij, saj se je na testnih posnetkih z neizrazito mejo HDB obnesla celo bolje kot na posnetkih z izrazito mejo HDB. V delu dodatno opredelimo vpliv prostorske ločljivosti posnetkov in vpliv uporabe bliskavice ob zajemu na uspešnost določitve območja dokumenta posamezne metode. V implementacijo poleg pristopov za določanje in izločanje vključimo najpogostejše operacije, ki omogočajo manipuliranje z izločenim območjem dokumenta.In this thesis, we are dealing with the problem of document region extraction from digital images, which might have been taken in uncontrolled environment. Thesis’s results are presented via implementation of two applications, one for mobile and one for desktop platform. Both applications enable detection and extraction of document region with several methods. To solve the problem, we implemented three different computer vision methods, namely the detection using colour filtering, detection based on calculating the average difference between the brightness of the regions and detection based on Hough transform. Validation of implemented methods has been done with establishing an own document image database, which includes digital images of several documents, taken in various uncontrolled conditions with a variety of mobile devices. The database includes document images with intensive and non-intensive document border. Despite relatively small database, the test results have shown that colour filtering and Hough transform methods are less reliable than the detection based on average brightness difference calculation, especially when comes to document images with non-intensive document border. The thesis further defines the impact of image spatial resolution and the impact of flash on the reliability for each implemented method. Additionally the most common methods for manipulation and improvement of extracted document region are presented
Design and realization of software and electronics for operating hours counter on log splitter
Diplomsko delo zajema zasnovo elektronike in izdelavo programske opreme za števec vrtljajev in obratovalnih ur na cepilniku drv. V delu so opisane elektronske komponente, razlogi za izbiro le teh in njihovo povezovanje v sistem. Predstavljena je tudi izdelava programske opreme in njeno delovanje.
Delo te diplomske naloge je integrirano s strojno opremo, ki je nastala v sklopu diplomske naloge z naslovom: Strojna oprema in izdelava načrtov za števec vrtljajev in obratovalnih ur na cepilniku drv. Programska oprema, elektronika in strojna oprema skupaj predstavljajo delujoč prototipni izdelek, ki je pripravljen na serijsko proizvodnjo.This thesis covers design and realization of software and electronics for operating hours counter on log splitter. Individual electronic components, reasons for their selection and their installation are described and explained. Creation of software and its operation is presented.
Work of this thesis is integrated with another thesis with a title: Design and realization of hardware and electronics for operating hours counter on log splitter. Software, electronics and hardware together represent the prototype product which is ready for mass production
Development of user interface software for cooling appliances
Magistrsko delo zajema izdelavo programske opreme za nov upravljalni modul na hladilno zamrzovalnih aparatih znamke Gorenje. Opisan je obstoječ upravljalni modul in problem zaznavanja kapacitivnih tipk. Razložena je teorija kapacitivnih senzorjev dotika in razlika v izvedbi le teh na starem in novem upravljalnem modulu. Predstavljena je struktura programske opreme in konfiguracija parametrov za zaznavanja dotika. Opisani so testi, ki jih mora upravljalni modul uspešno prestati tekom razvoja.
Rezultat magistrskega dela je delujoča programska oprema za upravljalni modul na hladilno zamrzovalnem aparatu.This Master thesis covers development of user interface software for new line of Gorenje cooling appliances. Old user interface and capacitive touch problem is described. Theory of capacitive touch sensing is explained and implementation on old and new user interface module is compared. Structure of software and configuration of capacitive touch parameters are described. Tests, which user interface module must pass are presented.

CAR LICENSE PLATE DETECTION
V diplomskem delu se ukvarjamo s problemom detekcije slovenskih avtomobilskih registrskih tablic na video toku, ki ga zajamemo s pomočjo spletne kamere USB, priključene na usmerjevalnik. Rezultat diplomskega dela je pravilno vzpostavljen namenski računalniški sistem ter namizna aplikacija, ki z različnimi metodami detektira območje avtomobilske registrske tablice. Za rešitev tega problema smo implementirali tri različne metode računalniškega vida, in sicer detekcijo tablice na osnovi kontur, detekcijo s pomočjo bele barve in detekcijo na osnovi druge Gaussove norme, pri slednjem je najpomembneje najti samo eno točko, ki jo poiščemo z uporabo 2D konvolucije. Kot najhitrejša metoda se je izkazala metoda s pomočjo kontur, kot najbolj zanesljiva pa metoda s pomočjo druge Gaussove norme.We are dealing with the problem of Slovenian car license plate detection in the video stream captured by a webcam, which is connected via USB to the router in this diploma work. The diploma work result is a correctly configured dedicated computer system and a desktop application which implements several methods for car license plate detection. To solve this problem, we implemented three different computer vision methods, namely the detection using contours, detection using white colour, and detection based on the second Gaussian norm, which requires at least one point detected on license plate area. This point searching is carried out by two-dimensional convolution. The fastest method pointed out to be the method based on contours, on the other hand, the most reliable method pointed out to be the method using the second Gaussian norm

We restrict ourselves only on interval censoring case 1. We show how to apply uniform deconvolution model in estimating the probability distribution characteristics in the interval censoring case 1. Moreover we derive limit distributions of the estimators of mean and variance. Then we compare these estimators to the asymptotically efficient estimators based on the nonparametric maximum likelihood estimation by simulation studies under some certain distributions of the random variables.
DEVELOPMENT OF CONTENT ON DEMAND SYSTEM ON XBMC PLATFORM
V diplomski nalogi predstavljamo razvoj sistema vsebin na zahtevo na XBMC platformi. V nalogi predstavimo infrastrukturo sistema IPTV, pripadajoče storitve ter module sistema. Za sistem UMB-SmartTV smo razvili tudi nov XBMC vtičnik za pregled lastnih vsebin. Vtičnik omogoča pregled in predvajanje različnih vsebin na sistemu UMB SmartTV, ki jih lahko uporabnik dodaja v bazo sistema. Podatke o vsebinah je mogoče pregledovati glede na želene kategorije: žanr, leto nastanka, režiser, igralci, avtor itd. Poudarek pri razvoju sistema smo namenili čim hitrejšemu iskanju vsebin, kar smo dosegli tudi z razvrščanjem vsebin v kategorije.The purpose of the diploma thesis is to introduce the development of a Content-on-Demand system on the XBMC platform. The thesis deals with the architecture of the IPTV system, the services that are delivered through this system and its modules. Furthermore we have developed a new XBMC plugin for the content review for the UMB-SmartTV system. The plugin allows the user to view and play various contents that can be added to the system’s database on the UMB-SmartTV system. The user is able to review the information about the content by selecting between different categories like genre, director, actors, author etc. The main goal was to develop a system that provides fast search for specific content and the classification of the content into categories that can help us to access it

Existuje mnoho prístupov k jeho riešeniu, pričom niektoré algoritmy sú optimalizované na rýchlosť, iné na kvalitu zarovnania. Implementujeme dve metódy - iteratívnu a progresívnu, ktoré vychádzajú z rovnakého princípu: použiť vývojové stromy, pomocou ktorých zostavíme zarovnanie. Zavedieme niekoľko metód na výpočet vzdialenosti sekvencií. Cieľom práce je porovnať jednotlivé metódy pre zarovnanie a zistiť, kedy je ich vhodné použiť a tiež nájsť parametre, pomocou ktorých dosiahneme najlepšie výsledky zarovnania. There is a lot of ways how to solve this problem. Some of them are optimized for speed, while others are optimized for quality of the produced alignment. We implement two methods - progressive and iterative, which are based on creating a phylogeny tree and align sequences according to it. We will also provide a few distance methods. Our aim is to compare the methods and their parameters for creating best alignments and to find out, when to use which methods.
