No full textThe main objective of this research is to present and explain Drawing by Luís Filipe de Abreu, in the dual aspect of autonomous drawing and integrated drawing, both of which form the basis of all his work. In addition to a comprehensive knowledge of the graphic work, reference is also made to the founding concepts of its creation and the way in which they manifest themselves in the different genres of artistic expression in which drawing is integrated. The problematic of the work involves issues related to the teaching of Visual Form and Composition, as well as the creative imagination associated with the singularity of graphic language. Ascending and Descending Geometrization are two concepts that run through the whole operating methodology of this author, along with the intentionality of colour and conceptual freedom, which translates into different trends and formulations of the drawings, denser or more stripped down, more pictorial or more graphic, more gestural or more accurate. These contents are dealt with transversally in the three main chapters: conceptuality, technical-operational means and the representation of the real thing. The study of drawing, in the various areas presented, follows a historical and aesthetic framework, reflecting the cultural and artistic context of this artist's work, which includes various fields of graphic arts, studied and analysed in this work, namely literary, advertising and fiduciary illustration. The presence of drawing in medals, tapestries and tile panels is also discussed. O impacto do investimento público e em construção na economia portuguesa
No full textO objecto de estudo desta dissertação consiste na investigação dos impactos do Investimento Público e no sector da Construção na actividade económica.
Nesta investigação tem-se como ponto de partida a análise dos planos estatais de estímulo à actividade económica lançados no âmbito da actual crise económica e financeira, maioritariamente compostos por Investimento em activos do sector da Construção, nomeadamente infra-estruturas.
Para melhor compreender o contributo do Investimento Público e em Construção procedeu-se à análise da sua importância para uma progressão nos níveis de prosperidade económica e social, que estabeleceu uma visão ampla do seu papel nas economias desenvolvidas e em desenvolvimento.
Uma vez que não são visíveis consensos entre os autores de referência em torno desta discussão, foi aplicada a metodologia de Vectores Auto-Regressivos (VAR), onde se decompõem e quantificam, com o recurso a uma base de dados com um horizonte temporal de 1960-2009, para Portugal e para uma amostra internacional de 12 países, as respostas do PIB e Investimento Privado a choques no Investimento Público e em Construção. Através destas torna-se possível a computação das elasticidades do PIB e Investimento Privado relativamente ao Investimento Público e em Construção, dos efeitos de crowding in ou crowding out e respectiva comparação com as conclusões dos demais autores.
Assim, obtém-se que os Investimentos Público e em Construção produzem elasticidades positivas no PIB e Investimento Privado, predominando efeitos de crowding in.
De forma complementar, foi realizada uma análise previsional do nível das séries para 2010, cujos resultados foram comparados com as estimativas da base de dados AMECO.The subject of this dissertation is the research of impacts produced by Public Investment and Construction industry Investment in economic activity.
In this investigation the starting point is an analysis of the public stimulus plans to economic activity, launched in concern of the current economic and financial crisis, mainly composed by investment in Construction industry assets, as infrastructures.
To better understanding such Public and Construction industry Investment contributes, it was developed an analysis of its importance for progression in present economic and social prosperity levels, which established a broad vision of its role in developed and developing economies.
Since there is no evident harmony between the main author´s involved this discussion, it was used the Vector Autoregression (VAR) method, where, using a database with a time horizon of 1960-2009 for Portugal and an international sample of 12 countries, the GDP and Private Investment responses to shocks in Public Investment and Construction Investment are decomposed and quantified. With these responses it is possible to compute the elasticities of GDP and Private Investment in relation to Public and Construction Investment, its crowding in or out effects and its comparison with the conclusions obtained by other authors.
Therefore, it is concluded that the Public and Construction industry investment produces positive elasticities in GDP and Private Investment, prevailing crowding in effects.
In a complementary point of view, it was made a series level forecast analysis for the year of 2010, whose results were compared with the AMECO database estimations

No full textNo cerne do projeto antropológico e das várias ciências humanas e humanidades sempre esteve a procura por compreender o enigma que é a natureza e a condição humanas – contudo, o enigma persiste. Na verdade, a reflexão sobre as condições e possibilidades da sua própria existência constitui para o humano a maior das suas capacidades, mas também a mais inefável das suas limitações. A antropologia poucas vezes reconhece isto; ou quando reconhece, não o transporta com o devido peso para as suas reflexões. Escusado será dizer que a presente tese não tem intenções de resolver o enigma. Procura antes tratar de alguns aspetos da condição humana que talvez expliquem as razões pelas quais é da natureza desse enigma ficar por resolver. Radicada na fenomenologia hermenêutica de Martin Heidegger e Hans-Georg Gadamer e tendo como interlocutores uma aldeia rural no noroeste do Japão, assim como alguns aspetos pontuais (de natureza etnográfica, histórica e filosófica) da cultura japonesa, as várias reflexões aqui presentes constituem-se como um exercício de natureza dialógica em torno de diferentes questões: a natureza da tradição, ou da nossa relação com a história, a essência dos lugares e do ato de os habitar, as limitações do discurso antropológico sobre a subjetividade, a reflexividade, o "self" e a pessoa, e as ideias de divino e de finitude humana. Transversal a essas reflexões estará uma atenção e preocupação particulares com aquilo que antecede o indivíduo, a sua subjetividade e reflexividade e, portanto, com o que "funda ontologicamente" aquilo que somos e podemos ser. Entrever o enigma, ou o problema, que o humano é passa, em primeiro lugar, por compreender que há sempre algo no que somos que precede os indivíduos e sujeitos que gostamos de ser.At the heart of the anthropological project and the different human sciences and humanities lies a need to tackle the conundrum of human nature and condition. And yet, the conundrum persists. In fact, the reflection over the conditions and possibilities of their own existence constitutes for human beings the greatest of their abilities, as well as the most ineffable of their limits. Anthropology seldom addresses this; or when it does, it does not allow it to have a significant import in its reflections. It goes without saying that the present thesis does not try to solve the conundrum. Instead, it deals with a few aspects concerning the human condition that might shed some light on the reasons why it belongs to the nature of this conundrum to remain unsolved. Rooted in Martin Heidegger and Hans-Georg Gadamer’s hermeneutic phenomenology and taking as a starting point a rural community in north-western Japan as well as a few aspects (of an ethnographic, historical and philosophical nature) of Japanese culture, the various reflections herein consist of a dialogical approach to several issues: the nature of tradition, or of our relationship with history, the essence of places and of the act of dwelling on them, the limitations of anthropological discourse on subjectivity, reflexivity, the self and the person, and the ideas of the "divine" and of "human finitude". Central to these reflections will be an attentiveness and concern with that which precedes the individual and his or her subjectivity and reflexivity; thus, with that which grounds ontologically what we are and can be. To glimpse the conundrum, or problem, that the human is entails, first and foremost, the realisation that there is always something in what we are that precedes the individuals and subjects we like to be
