“LO CLÁSICO” EN UNA MUESTRA POÉTICA DEL ORIENTE VENEZOLANO
No full text¿De qué manera asumieron los poetas venezolanos del siglo XIX la cultura clásica? Con esta pregunta parte esta investigación en la que son presentados dos poetas del oriente venezolano: Miguel Sánchez Pesquera (1851-1920) y Pedro Arismendi Brito (1832-1914), quienes publicaron poesía de inspiración clásica grecolatina en El Cojo Ilustrado (1892-1915), revista cultural venezolana que salió a la luz por más de 23 años. En ella solían publicar los más destacados escritores y poetas, tanto venezolanos como extranjeros, representantes de la vida literaria de finales del siglo XIX y principios del XX. Los dos poetas escogidos forman parte de un corpus de más de 60 autores, agrupados por la autora en un trabajo de recopilación previo, en el que se demuestra el interés de una élite intelectual por los temas grecolatinos. El objetivo de este trabajo es mostrar de qué manera “lo clásico” se manifiesta a través del tema del amor, personificado por la diosa Venus, en textos poéticos de los autores mencionados, y de qué manera las letras de nuestro pasado reciente venezolano hablan de las fuentes griegas y latinas que lo alimentaron. Se analizan los textos a la luz de las imágenes temáticas reiterativas y se realizan algunas comparaciones entre ambos poetas demostrando cómo cada uno asume el tratamiento del mito clásico. This is the opening question of this article in which we present two poets from the Venezuelan Eastern Coast: Miguel Sánchez Pesquera (1851-1920) and Pedro Arismendi Brito (1832-1914), who published poetry of classical inspiration in a Venezuelan cultural magazine called El Cojo Ilustrado (1892-1915), issued for more than twenty-three years. This magazine used to publish the work of the most popular and outstanding writers and poets from Venezuela and abroad, representative of the literary life of the 19th and early 20th centuries. The writers chosen for this study belong to a corpus of more than 60 authors, assembled by the author in a previous compilation, which reported the interest of an intellectual group of that time in Greek and Latin themes. This study intends to show how the theme of Love, under the figure of goddess Venus, is used in poetical texts written by the aforementioned poets, and how our recent Venezuelan Literature mentions the classical sources that fed it. The texts are analyzed according to the reiterative images that are connected with the theme under study, and some comparisons are made between both poets, showing how each one assumes the Classical Myth. No full textLa autoevaluación forma parte de un proceso complejo de indagación que posibilita mejorar el funcionamientode las dependencias estudiadas y, por ende, busca la transformación del quehacer institucional. Por ello, el Grupode Investigación para la Evaluación de Programas de Postgrado de la Universidad de Oriente (EVALPOST),emprendió un proceso de autoevaluación de la Maestría en Educación con Menciones, a través de una investigaciónevaluativa, a fin de obtener información de la situación actual del programa. El recorrido investigativo exigió laconsideración de cuatro momentos del modelo de evaluación de Salcedo Galvis (1997): diagnóstico inicial de lasituación, selección de indicadores, definición de conceptos y el tratamiento de los resultados. Concretar estasfases demandó realizar adaptaciones al cuestionario diseñado por el autor en referencia, a fin de contextualizarloy ajustarlo a las especificidades del programa. En atención al modelo asumido, se seleccionaron los indicadoresy las variables gestión-funcionamiento de la dependencia estudiada. Se realizó el diagnóstico de las condicionesactuales de organización y el ejercicio académico-administrativo del Programa, a través del análisis de ladocumentación oficial que sustenta el mismo. En virtud de los momentos expresados anteriormente, el puntajeglobal alcanzado, fue “219”, lo que permitió situar a la Maestría en Educación con Menciones de la Universidadde Oriente, en el rango “BUENO”. Este resultado destaca el predominio de fortalezas que coadyuvan a un procesoformativo, consolidado con credibilidad institucional, académica, social y profesional.Palabras clave: Autoevaluación, consolidación académica, maestría en educación.ABSTRACTSelf-assessment is part of a complex process of inquiry that allows improving the functioning of the unitsstudied and therefore seeks the transformation of institutional work. Thus, the Research Group for the Evaluationof Graduate Programs at the Universidad de Oriente (EVALPOST), undertook a self-assessment process of theMA in Education with specializations, through an evaluative research, in order to obtain information about thecurrent status of the program. The research path required the consideration of four moments of the evaluationmodel designed by Salcedo Galvis (1997): Initial diagnosis of the situation, selection of indicators, definitions andtreatment outcomes. To accomplish these phases some adaptations were made to the questionnaire designed bythe author, in order to contextualize and adjust it to the specifics of the program. Following the assumed model,indicators and management variables were selected. Diagnosis of current organizational and administrativeacademic program was carried out through the analysis of official documents. The overall score achieved was“219“, which places the Universidad de Oriente Master in Education Program, in the position of “GOOD”. Suchan outcome highlights the prevalence of assets that contribute to a formative process, consolidated through asocial, institutional, academic and professional credibility.Key words: Self- assessment, consolidated academic assets, MA in Education

No full textEl presente ensayo tiene por finalidad ofrecer una visión reflexiva y argumentativa acerca del cuidado de enfermería para la mujer gestante durante la consulta de prenatal, ofreciendo como enfoque alternativo el Cuidado Humanizado, basado en la Teoría del Cuidado Humano, de Jean Watson. No full textEl presente ensayo ofrece una visión reflexiva documentada sobre algunos escritos de la obra de Friedrich Nietzsche. Mediante esta exposición, un tanto general, se presenta una experiencia hermenéutica centrada en el reconocimiento de razones y explicaciones para el hábito del pensar en extremo racional y sobre todo, predictivamente y con prejuicios, moralismos y temores por el sí mismo. Con ello, se ofrece una imagen del ser nietzscheano en su esencia atemporal, con signos de zozobra, asombro y nuevos alientos vistos al modo de la confrontación intelectual de Nietzsche con la modernidad. Así, con la consideración del análisis hecho sobre algunos fragmentos de su obra literaria, se reflexiona y se extraen conclusiones sobre el poder y la valía de estos signos para el mantenimiento de nuestro interés por diversos aspectos filosóficos que aluden a nuestra convivencia con los conflictos del ser y del saber, propios de todos los tiempos.Palabras clave: Friedrich Nietzsche, modernidad, perspectivismo. ABSTRACTThis paper provides a reflective view on some writings of Friedrich Nietzsche's work. This exhibition, in a general way, presents a hermeneutical experience focused on the recognition of reasons and explanations for the habit of thinking rationally and especially predictively and with prejudices, moralisms and fears about the self. With this, an image is seen of the Nietzschean being in its timeless essence, with signs of anxiety and amazement that are observed as the Nietzsche intellectual confrontation with modernity. With the analysis of some fragments of his literary work, the author reflects and concludes about the power and value of these signs to maintain our interest in various philosophical aspects that refer to our coexistence with conflicts of the being and of the knowing along the time.Key words: Friedrich Nietzsche, modernity, perspectivism.

The objective was to present the creation of the Scientific Journal UDO Agrícola, as well as the most important features that define it: indexing published articles, statutes, author and reviwer instruction. The creation of the Revista Científica UDO Agrícola (Scientific Journal UDO Agrícola) was approved by the Consejo de Escuela (School Board) in meeting No 09, dated December 14 2000, being its Editors in Chief Profs. The diatonic sound of scent imagery
No full textThis research investigates crossmodal correspondences between auditory stimuli, specifically musical modes, and olfactory mental imagery, represented by fragrance families. Building on the emerging literature on crossmodal correspondences, this research explores different mechanisms that might help to explain these crossmodal correspondences such as their shared connotative meaning and identity-based meaning. The first study evaluated the fragrance families and subfamilies and musical modes and assessed potential mechanisms behind these associations. The second study examined the associations between the musical modes and fragrance families and subfamilies through a matching task. The results revealed consistent matches between different musical modes and corresponding fragrance families and subfamilies, indicating a crossmodal association between auditory and olfactory mental imagery. What is more, major modes were perceived as brighter and less intense, and were more liked than minor modes, with floral and fresh fragrances similarly rated as brighter and more liked than oriental and woody fragrances. These results suggest that crossmodal correspondences between auditory and olfactory stimuli are influenced by brightness, intensity, and hedonic factors. Understanding such crossmodal associations can potentially benefit various fields, including marketing, product design, and those interested in creating multisensory experiences.publishedVersio

La historia de cada término muestra que su uso actual es de origen europeo (“occidental”), y no está desvinculado de la hegemonía europea y del “orientalismo” denunciando por Edward Said. No full textEste trabajo pretende llevar a cabo una reflexión que mueva hacia una observación de la modalidad con la que el Oriente se presenta en algunas obras de la producción literaria de Lope de Vega. El horizonte literario oriental retratado por el autor se desdobla en distintas maneras: en este estudio distinguimos, en particular, tres diferentes espacios literarios (el Oriente nacional, el Oriente extra nacional, el Oriente bíblico), cada uno examinado por sus rasgos específicos y por su significación dentro del contexto de la producción lopesca.

This paper intends to carry out a reflection that moves toward an observation of the way in which the East is presented in some works of Lope de Vega’s literary production. The Eastern literary horizon portrayed by the author develops in different ways: in this study we distinguish, in particular, three different literary spaces (the national East, the extra-national East, the Biblical East), each of them examined for their specific qualities and for their meaning in the context of Lope’s production
