Demand for logistics management studies in North Eastern Thailand
The research investigates the demand on education in the field of logistics management among the high school and vocational students at North Eastern of Thailand. The research explores the needs for labor market in logistics between the private enterprises and government agencies. The surveys were conducted among 830 respondents which include students, entrepreneurs, public and private enterprises through in-depth interviews and brainstorming sessions. The result indicates that the needs for further education among students, mostly female, aged between 19-21 years old. A total of 72.30 % required the logistics disciplines in future businesses (X?= 4.31, SD = 0.962). The nature of the curriculum should be focusing on logistics theory (X?= 4.35, SD = 0.962). The equation of multiple regressions showed that the logistics education meets the labor market (Dem), income level of the parents (inc), distance from home to schools (Dis) and the labor demand in Logistics dropped even at the Northeast. The entrepreneurs and the private sectors indicated to 70 %, 18 %, state agencies, enterprises and other organizations in 12 % which agreed on education for better development in logistics market. Personnel in logistics is critical for the future (X?= 4.31, SD = 0.692), demand for logistics in trades border (X?= 4.12, SD = 0.798), transportation movement at the Northeast links with neighboring countries (X?= 4.12, SD = 0.798) and personnel logistics with a good command of English (X?= 4.01, SD = 0.561). The exhibit shows slightly reduction on logistics trend at the Northeast due to knowledge and education. Logistics shall be the important factors due to growing of business volumes, enhance its competitiveness and focusing on costs reduction. The government policy was very encouraging towards logistics businesses. The demand for logistics personnel are increasing and this will contribute to the economic growth at the North East. Suggestion for future development is to have a real learning on the logistics theory through government and private partnership. This will enable for the best of logistics education towards improvement and quality labor for better economic in Thailand

Effectiveness on cross border trades between Thailand, Lao Pdr, Vietnam and China
This study investigates on the effectiveness of present cross border trades at Loei District checkpoint of North East in Thailand to Lao PDR, Vietnam and China. It also examines on the regional economic connectivity of supply chain in Thailand and neighboring countries especially for Greater Mekong Sub-Region (GMS) Programme. It also explores on the readiness of road infrastructure, cross border facilities, customs, regulations, usage of technology and other obligations to the wider scope. It also focuses on the trading of retail goods for household consumption and wholesale merchandises. This is a quantitative research and the surveys were conducted among 300 respondents which include transporters, entrepreneurs, government, regulatory bodies and other stakeholders. The findings of the research revealed on the certain actions need to be taken for future improvement at border checkpoint. This includes on improvement on the of customs inspection, readiness of the infrastructure, suitability in rules and regulations and the understanding of usage of technologies in the department of Immigration, Customs, Quarantine and Security (ICQS) at cross border areas
Adoption of business intelligence - technological, individual and supply chain efficiency
Making strategic decisions in a vigorous business setting is a challenge encountered by many organizations nowadays. Today, information is gathered all over the place and is rapidly expanding. Organization required powerful application and systematic system that could run in real time, provide insightful tracking for supply chains, logistics and operations that closely related to applications for sales tracking, hourly, daily to monthly production, financial, and many other sources of business data for purposes that consist of business performance management. Business Intelligence has a critical role in terms of organizational development as Business Intelligence (BI) be able to provide a competitive advantage in the context of achieving positive information asymmetry, that is, unifying and making useful heterogeneous data. However, the impact of BI and the relative importance of its insight on business performance have not yet been investigated. For this study, data were collected from a survey questionnaire of IT managers in 162 multinational companies in Malaysia and analyzed using the partial least squares (PLS) with the SmartPLS software. This research recommends that although BI and its insight contribute to management practices, the information requirements are diverse according on the level of uncertainty versus ambiguity characteristic of the organizations practice
