2009-2010 Philosophy Colloquium Series
The Department of Philosophy is seeking funding support from the Cultural Affairs/Distinguished Lecture Series Fund for its 2009-2010 Philosophy Colloquium Series. This series of public talks will provide the opportunity for students, faculty, and community members both within and beyond the Department of Philosophy to hear and discuss stimulating lectures on a wide range of topics that are relevant both to the core themes of the department\u27s philosophy curriculum as well as to current issues of ethical, political, social, and philosophic import. Some of the events enable collaboration and communication with other units on the campus and in the community
Guide to the Philosophy Department records
The University of San Diego Philosophy Department records include meeting minutes, transcripts of meetings, memoranda, correspondence, and news releases documenting the establishment, growth, and activities of the department. These records document discussions about curriculum, general education requirements, student outlook, and faculty standing. The bulk of these records cover the 1970s and include discussions surrounding the merging of the College for Women and College for Men as well as the changing scope of the Philosophy Department.
Finding Aids are tools used to aid research by describing the materials in a collection. University Records Finding Aids include historical and/or biographical information along with a description of the collection and a folder listing of the content.
