Pendleton Branch Experiment Station and Columbia Basin Soil Erosion Research Project Annual Field Days : 1953
The Pendleton Branch Experiment Station was established in 1929. The Station is working on agricultural problems pertaining to this, area. Projects of long duration include crop rotation, tillage practices, stubble utilization, uses of commercial fertilizers, cereal testing and breeding, and testing of forage grasses and legumes.
The Columbia Basin Soil Erosion Research Project was established in 1948, and in cooperation with the station, is operating three pilot farms between Weston and Holdman for the study of stubble utilization for erosion control, adaptable machinery to handle crop residues, soil fertility, and other problems
