Catherine Crow Eagle Part 1
Catherine speaks about her history as well as the history of her parents, Charlie and Alice Crow Eagle. She speaks on her father's friendship with Nicholas de Grandmaison, his role as a council member passed down from her great-grandfather, Old Man Crow Eagle and briefly touches on details regarding Aldridge and Joseph Small Legs. In the second video interview, Catherine Crow Eagle and two of her children are interviewed by Karissa Patton. Catherine continues the conversation about her father, Charlie Crow Eagle, talking more about his role as councillor and Medicine Man, societies he belonged to, ceremonies he performed, where he attended school and his role in starting up Indian Days in the 50s. Hamilton, Catherine Jane [pseud. Retlaw Spring] (1841-1935), author and journalist, was born on 25 January 1841 at Kilmersdon, Somerset, where she was baptized on 12 April 1841, the younger of two daughters of Richard Hamilton (1805?-1859), vicar of Kilmersdon, and his wife Charlotte, née Cooper (1809-1882), the fifth daughter of William Cooper, of Queens County, Ireland. She was of Irish heritage on both sides. Her father belonged to a military family with roots in Strabane (county Tyrone) - his father, John Hamilton, and her father’s four older brothers were all officers in the Fifth Foot – and was a graduate of Trinity College Dublin. He had been a bright scholar with an aptitude for languages, and as a preacher was praised for his powerful sermons and his ability to bring the Bible to life for his parishioners

The 1993 edition contains work from five of Catherine Lim's previously published collections, from Little Ironies (1978) to Deadline for Love (1992), and reflects the confidence which her publishers usually have in her capacity to draw a strong local reading audience. In fact, a Catherine Lim book is quite capable of attracting sales of 20,00O copies in a first edition
