    Information Centric Architectures view content as the narrow waist of the networking stack. This abstraction allows routing based on the content name, rather than the network locator of the content consumer and producer. We present ContentFlow, an Information Centric network architecture which supports content routing by mapping the content name to a OpenFlow de ned ow based on TCP and IP semantics. And, thus enables the use of OpenFlow switches to achieve content routing over a legacy IP architecture. ContentFlow is viewed as an evolutionary step between the current IP networking architecture, and a full edged ICN architecture. It supports content man- agement, content caching and content routing at the network layer, while using a legacy OpenFlow infrastructure and a modi ed controller. By e ciently using the content in- formation available in the network, ContentFlow supports e cient tra c engineering. Also, ContentFlow is transparent from the point of view of the client and the server, and can be inserted in between without modi cation at either end. The architecture and implementation of ContentFlow on top of the existing OpenFlow software de ned networking framework is described. Performance of ContentFlow is evaluated using a prototype implementation of an enterprise SDN network with Floodlight controller and multiple virtualized OpenFlow switches.     Drop on demand technology as a mini manufacturing platform for drug delivery and personalized medicine

    There is need to develop a process and technology through which small tailored dosages can be delivered with precision and accuracy. This has led to research on developing a manufacturing platform which could be used to deliver personalized drugs in a variety of dosage formats both cheaply and efficiently. We envision a mini manufacturing platform centered on Drop-on-Demand (DoD) technology which can have wide ranging applications such as personalized medicine, clinical trials, poly-pharmacy and distributed manufacturing. A prototype system has been developed that has been tested for accuracy using gravimetric methods for dispensing sample dosage formats. The incorporation of online analytics has also been explored. Three sets of experiments were conducted. In the first one, the accuracy of the system was measured experimentally using gravimetric methods. The dispensing system was found to be very accurate with RSD < 1% and this was true for dispensing solutions as well as suspensions. In the second experiment the effect of viscosity was studied. It was found that for a fixed set of variables such as input pressure and nozzle diameter there was a limiting viscosity above which the dispensing was disrupted. The aggregation behavior of suspensions during flow through micro capillary was also studied. Finally the applicability of Raman spectroscopy for in line analytics was tested experimentally. It was found that Raman can be used for qualification of API in-capsule as well as in the supply line.M.S.Includes bibliographical referencesby Abhishek Saha

    Experimental evaluation of secondary NC-OFDM transceiver for coexistence with primary transmitter

    RF Spectrum scarcity inhibits development of newer wireless communication technologies in a big way. With the current spectrum policies, there is heavy under utilization of available spectrum. This calls for more efficient spectrum allocation. One of the solutions to the problem is dynamic spectrum allocation algorithms. This can be achieved with the use of Cognitive Radio Technology. Cognitive radios allow for dynamic changing of transmission parameters depending on the environment and available spectrum bands. The definition of Cognitive radios terms it an intelligent radio which alters its transmission/reception parameters in accordance with the radio environment and the network state to utilize spectrum efficiently. Cognitive radio technology allows for use of unlicensed secondary devices to utilize spectrum unused by licensed primary devices. The secondary devices can utilize the spectrum and transmit in bands not used by the primary devices in order to avoid any detrimental interference to the licensed primary users. This calls for stringent control of the secondary transceiver. In this thesis, we focus on designing an LTE standard based Non Contiguous Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing Secondary Transceiver. The major focus has been on hardware design of the secondary LTE transceiver and a system level implementation on a National Instruments based Real Time Embedded Controller platform, with relevant design blocks developed on FPGA hardware for efficient implementation. The various functionalities and tradeoffs involving hardware design of a transceiver have been studied. In addition, the effect of employing FPGA based design with a view of resource utilization and latency of the whole transceiver system, has been considered. Dynamic Spectrum Access setup was evaluated with the NI based secondary transceiver platform by evaluating the secondary receiver's performance in the presence of a primary user in the notch. This allowed for efficient utilization of spectrum for the unlicensed secondary user without causing detrimental interference to the primary user's signal.M.S.Includes bibliographical referencesby Abhishek Bindiganavil

    Post-stroke mania - a case report

    Objective: Psychiatric disorders following cerebrovascular accidents are common. Post-stroke depression is the most common of these disorders, and post-stroke mania has been reported on rare occasions. Methods: We report a case of a 65 year-old elderly male who developed mania secondary to a left sided cerebral infarction in the territory of the middle cerebral artery. Discussion: It has been theorized that lesions in the cerebral hemisphere and limbic structures may produce symptoms suggestive of mania. Emotional and behavioral disorders after stroke negatively impact rehabilitation, cognition, and long-term recovery. Conclusion: Post-stroke mania is a rare medical condition that may occur after neurological deficits. ASEAN Journal of Psychiatry, Vol. 15 (2): July - December 2014: 209-112
