    [47] p.World Health's history goes back to 1948, when a simple information sheet reflecting the beginnings of the organization, the WHO Newsletter, was distributed to the press. It was later published in newspaper format, and was given its present title in 1957, becoming a magazine in 1958. Over the years the number of language editions increased and the magazine now appears in Arabic, English, French, German, Hindi, Portuguese, Russian and Spanish. All appear monthly except the Arabic and Hindi editions, which appear quarterly.34

    This chapter explains and employs a constructivist, interactionist theory of knowledge that has come to be known as the perspective of 'embodied cognition'.     3C PL Contract #48696MA-80-0001JOURNEY to 2030, the Transportation Plan of the Boston Region Metropolitan Planning Organization (referred to as the Plan), is the long-range, comprehensive transportation planning document for the Boston region. The region encompasses 101 cities and towns from Ipswich to Duxbury, and Boston to Marlborough (see Figure 1-1). This is the area in which transportation planning is the responsibility of the Boston Region Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO), as explained in this chapter. Covering 1,405 square miles, the Boston region makes up about 18 percent of the state\u2019s land area; however, with over three million residents, it has 48 percent of the state\u2019s population
