Weak arithmetic theories and their models.

In the present thesis we study arithmetical theories in the language of arithmetic L extended by one binary functional symbol for exponentiation. For arbitrary theory in the language of arithmetic it is possible todefine its extension in this new language Le by adding axioms postulatingbasic properties of exponentiation. We consider two axiomatic systems for exponentiation - Exp1 and Exp2. Thus exponentiation is always defined axiomatically in the theories we deal with. We show that in such theories the Fermat's last theorem is unprovable no matter how strong the original theory is. In the thesis we develop a general method of construction of exponential function. This method subsists of "splitting some original exponential function in shorter segments and of rearranging them to form new exponential function which satisfies required properties. As an application of this method three independence results for stronger variants of negation of Fermat's last theorem are prooved. As a first result we construct model of theory Ar + Exp1 defined in the thesis in which the equation x + y = z has nonzero solution for cofinally many 's. The second result allows to expand an arbitrary model of I1 to model of theory Exp2 in which again Fermat's theorem is violated by cofinally many 's. The third result is a construction..

Conversion of formatting objects to ODF

OpenOffice). Práce začíná popisem obou formátů a uvádí základní elementy, které formáty nabízejí pro zápis textového dokumentu. Poté následuje srovnání obou formátů a popis možností konverze dokumentů z XSL FO do ODF. Pro implementaci této konverze je vybrána praxí ověřená a široce dostupná XSLT transformace, která je ilustrována na ukázkové aplikaci umožňující spuštění konverze z internetového prohlížeče, z OpenOffice nebo z příkazové řádky. This thesis deals with conversion of text documents from the format of so called formatting objects (XSL FO) to OpenDocument format (ODF). This conversion can be useful e. g. for distribution, printing or additional modification of a document in a text editor which supports ODF (e. g. OpenOffice). The thesis starts with description of both formats and it mentions basic elements that the formats offer for defining a text document. A comparison of both formats and description of possibilities of converting documents from XSL FO to ODF follows right after. The proved-by-practise and widely available XSLT transformation is chosen for the conversion implementation. It is illustrated on a sample application which enables to launch the conversion from an internet browser, from OpenOffice or from a command line

    Centralization of treasury management 2010

The book consists of five parts: 1. Treasury management and its responsibilities (Chapter 1‐4); 2. Decentralized treasury (Chapter 5); 3. Different phases of the centralization (Chapter 6‐9); 4. Outsourcing (Chapter 10) 5. Regional treasury centres (Chapter 11); 6. Best practices in a bank (Chapter 12); In the first part, the author describes the treasury management focusing on its three core responsibilities, such as assets and liabilities management, cash management, and financial risk management. The second part zooms in on decentralized treasury and decisions about the appropriate degree of centralization/decentralization of the treasury activities. Then we focus on the different phases of the process of centralization, from central interest rate and foreign exchange management through centralization of cash and liquidity management, then transaction processing up to fully centralized treasury. In part four we continue by discussing outsourcing as the next stage following centralization to achieve additional economic benefits. The fifth part contains especially a number of the location criteria, both tax and non‐tax, that must be evaluated during consideration where to establish the regional treasury centre. The last part deals with banking best practices in cash pooling from the point of view of the author that works in one of the top banks in Central and Eastern Europe region

Název práce: Cyklometalace fenylpyridinů s ferrocenylovým substituentem Autor: Bc. Petr Harmach Katedra: Katedra anorganické chemie Vedoucí diplomové práce: prof. RNDr. Všechny tyto látky byly charakterizovány 1 H a 13 C{1 H} NMR spektroskopií, hmotnostní spektrometrií, elementární analýzou a cyklickou voltametrií. U dvou připravených látek byly jejich struktury potvrzeny pomocí metody difrakce rentgenového záření na monokrystalech. Petr Harmach Department: Katedra anorganické chemie Supervisor: prof. RNDr. Petr Štěpnička, Ph.D., DSc. Abstract: The objective of this thesis was the synthesis of cyclometalated complexes of phenylpyridine with a ferrocenyl group. Cyclometalated complexes have a wide range of application, where one of the most important is the use in catalysis. Iridium(III) and rhodium(III) cyclometalated complexes were prepared containing electron-donating or electron-accepting groups on the pyridine ring. All newly prepared complexes were characterized by 1 H a 13 C{1 H} NMR spectroscopy, mass spectrometry, elemetal analysis and cyclic voltammetry. The structures of two complexes were determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis. Title: Adaptive choice of parameters in stabilization methods for convection- diffusion equations Author: Bc. Petr Lukáš (e-mail: [email protected]) Department: Department of Numerical Mathematics Supervisor: Doc. Mgr. Petr Knobloch, Dr. (e-mail: [email protected]) Abstract: The aim of the work is to propose suitable approaches for adap- tive choice of parameters in stabilization methods for convection-difusion equations discretized by the finite element method. We introduce the L-SR1 method, compare it with other nonlinear methods of minimizing functions with large number of variables, and introduce and compare the adaptive methods based on minimizing of the error indicator.
