Full text linkSmart Walk Bosco in Città è un percorso geografico digitale, condiviso in ambiente
virtuale, frutto di una sperimentazione didattica realizzata nel mese di marzo 2020 con
studenti delle Università milanesi Unimi e IULM. La sperimentazione didattica, svoltasi
durante la pandemia Covid-19, si è posta come obiettivo l’osservazione
multidimensionale del paesaggio presente e passato del quartiere urbano milanese di
Porta Nuova. Attraverso un’analisi distributiva dei fenomeni e delle risorse presenti nel
territorio, è stata avviata una lettura e conoscenza di luoghi per mezzo di strumenti e
materiali multimediali. Applicazioni quali Google Earth e Relive hanno permesso di
elaborare un percorso virtuale con visualizzazione del paesaggio urbano anche nella sua
forma passata. L’approccio geografico per la conoscenza di paesaggi e territori supportato
dalle tecnologie digitali si è rivelato utile a stimolare negli utenti una riflessione sui
cambiamenti assunti dal quartiere oggetto di studio

Full text linkSustainable cities and the e-scooter micromobility from the providers point of view: the case of BIT and Reby Crossing cities, it is noticeable that e-scooters, a new silent and highly technological means of transport, are becoming part of traditional urban transport, dominated by cars and private vehicles or public transport. Investigating e-scooter experiences within public and private paradigms can reveal insights for sustainable urban mobility, addressing the overlooked role of private providers in organization, decision-making, and governance opportunities. This paper explores, and discusses, this emergent urban practice of micro-mobility, in light of providers’ operations. Authors carried out semi-structured interviews with two of the leading providers of e-scooters in Italy. The growing relevance of scientific research, technological progress and of the knowledge economy, as well as the increasingly
pervasive use of the Internet, are producing deep changes not only in the economic, social and cultural contexts, but also
in daily practices and in the way people live the spaces, the relational, emotional and narrative spheres that characterize individual life. Moreover, territories are trying to react and to reshape themselves by enhancing innovative activities,
and also critically responding to these changes. Geography, like other disciplines, is expected to offer new perspectives
and methodologies to interpret the complex relationship between innovation and territory, whose material and immaterial
evidences and spatial and transcalar interconnections are still difficult to be identified and interpreted. This opening paper
aims to highlight the main and emerging issues of this field of research, the ongoing projects – such as those presented in the
various articles – and the future challenges which researchers of this group and other disciplines are invited to undertake
