FAB‐Induced deprotonation, elimination and decomposition of 1,3‐dithiolane S‐oxides

    No full text
The gas‐phase unimolecular decomposition of [M‐H]− of 1,3‐dithiolane S‐oxides has been studied using Fast Atom Bombardment (FAB) for anion generation. A comparison with the reactivity in solution is made and some differences or similarities with the chemistry in the gas‐phase are discussed. The decomposition pathways of the molecules under investigation are function of the substituents. Copyright © 1990 Journal of Heterocyclic Chemistr

Mass Displacements In A Quadrupole Mass Filter - A Tool For Evaluation of Intrinsic Dipole-moments of Ionic Species

    No full text
Mass Displacements, already described in ion trap mass spectrometers, have been observed in a quadrupole mass filter, and found to be correlated with the dipole momentum of ions. They could be used for the evaluation of the intrinsic dipole-moments of ionic species

High performance liquid chromatography combined with electrospray ionization ion trap mass spectrometry in the characterization of (methoxymethyl)melamine resins

    No full text
Two (methoxymethyl)melamine resins of industrial and commercial interest have been analysed by means of high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC)/electrospray ionization ion trap mass spectrometry in order to identify the components of the complex mixtures which are produced by melamine resin manufacturing procedures. The approach provided a simple but highly valuable analytical tool, able to yield data on molecular weight and chemical structure of the components separated by HPL
