No full textL'invenzione riguarda la realizzazione di una superficie dotata di opportune microscanalature, di dimensioni e geometria ben determinate, capace di ridurre la resistenza di attrito turbolento dovuta al moto relativo fra la superficie stessa ed un fluido al di sotto di quella relativa ad una superficie perfettamente liscia. Esistono in natura esempi (per esempio la pelle degli squali) di ottimizzazione della rugosità superficiale, guidata dall'evoluzione, che dimostrano come le prestazioni di una superficie liscia possano essere migliorate. Questa invenzione descrive una particolare rugosità superficiale capace di modificare positivamente il flusso turbolento in modo da diminuirne il coefficiente di attrito
