No full textProfessor Alfredo Falcone and Dr Lisa Salvatore speak to Roshaine Gunawardana, Managing Commissioning Editor: Professor Alfredo Falcone is the Director of the Department of Oncology and the Specialization School at the University Hospital of Pisa, Italy. He trained in Pisa and Genoa, Italy, and has held major positions in Italian oncology since 2000. He currently has more than 300 publications, including papers in peer-reviewed international and national journals, book chapters, and more than 600 abstracts of presentations to international and national conferences. The majority of his papers regard clinical and translational research, with a particular focus on metastatic colorectal cancer. Dr Lisa Salvatore is a medical oncologist in the Department of Translational Research and New Technologies in Medicine and Surgery at the University of Pisa. She has been an author on about 40 publications in major peer-reviewed publications and has made numerous presentations in national and international conferences. Her main interest is focused on clinical and translational research in metastatic colorectal cancer

No full textDe falcone of Bartolus de SaxoferratoAmong the numerous texts by the famous Italian jurist Bartolus de Saxoferrato there is a short letter entitled tractatus de falcone — treaty of the falcon. Despite its name, it is neither a work about the issue of hunting with birds of prey, nor a letter exhausting the literary form of a treaty. Although Diplovatatius described it as consilium, it should be rather classified as quaestiones.It should be emphasized that the distinction of consilium, that is a legal advice drew up to consider the specific case from quaestio, theoretical analysis of some case, may be impossible. The more so that the basis for quaestiones were often genuine judicial cases, which were only changed with regards to identifying the parties and adjusting the case to the needs of teaching. The author made a translation of de falcone and added her own commentary.De falcone von Bartolus de SaxoferratoUnter zahlreichen Texten des berühmten italienischen Juristen, Bartolus de Saxoferrato, befindet sich ein ziemlich kleines Schriftstück unter dem Titel tractatus de falcone – eine Abhandlung über den Falken. Trotz eines solchen Namens ist das weder ein Werk über die Jagd mit Raubvögeln, noch ein Schriftstück, das die Merkmale der literarischen Form einer Abhandlung erfüllt. Obwohl Diplovatatius es als consilium bezeichnet hat, gehört es eher zu den quaestiones.Es ist hervorzuheben, dass sich die Unterscheidung zwischen consilium, also einer Rechtsberatung, die zwecks Erörterung einer konkreten Sache angefertigt wurde, und quaestio, also einer theoretischen Analyse eines Falles, als unmöglich erweisen kann. No full textQuesto volume è dato alle stampe a sessant’anni dalla laurea in
giurisprudenza di Giovanni Falcone, conseguita con lode il 21
giugno 1961 presso l’Università di Palermo, e a quasi trent’anni
dalla strage di Capaci1.
93. L’alto magistrato, come noto, fu ucciso nell’attentato del 23 maggio 1992, nel
quale perì insieme alla moglie Francesca Morvillo, anch’essa giudice, e agli agenti
della scorta, Rocco Dicillo, Vito Schifani e Antonio Montinaro. L’accertamento
delle responsabilità penali a carico dei vertici di Cosa nostra, nell’ambito della
strategia dell’eccidio di Capaci, si è concluso con la sentenza della Corte di Cassazione,
sez. I, del 18 sett. 2008, nr. 1157, che ha confermato la sentenza della Corte
di assise d’Appello di Catania del 23 apr. 2006, nr. 24 con la quale sono state
emesse le condanne all’ergastolo che hanno riguardato l’intero vertice di Cosa
nostra. Con sentenza della Corte di assise d’Appello di Catania del 21 luglio 2020
(nel processo cosiddetto Capaci-bis) sono state confermate ulteriori quattro condanne
all’ergastolo per la strage.

Based on semi-structured interviews conducted with private and public stakeholders, our findings allowed the identification of potential pathways in supporting the empowerment of the investigated energy niche. A partire da una fortissima ondata emozionale l’albero ha profondamente contraddistinto il luogo segnandone l’identità. Ne rappresenta il senso più profondo – la legalità – perché le persone lo hanno reso tale e in modo assolutamente spontaneo, condividendo le loro sensazioni. Hanno creato sull’onda di una fortissima e violenta spinta emozionale un luogo di incontro, non solo fisico, ma anche ideale, che continua emotivamente a coinvolgere non solo sul piano personale, ma anche a livello collettivo, alimentando il senso di comunità.The essay focuses on the Falcone Tree in front of the magistrate's house which has become a symbol of resistance to the mafia, an emblem of the redemption of civil society and of legality after the attack (1992). Starting from a very strong emotional wave, the tree has profoundly marked the place, marking its identity. It represents the deepest meaning - legality - because people have made it so and in an absolutely spontaneous way, sharing their feelings. They created on the wave of a very strong and violent emotional thrust a meeting place, not only physical, but also ideal, which continues to emotionally involve not only on a personal level, but also on a collective level, nourishing the sense of community
