In this dataset, the water depth time series in 21 gauges of Sumacarcel town are derived by the FLOW-R2D model,
assuming 240 different combinations of three input paramaters:

a) input flow to the computatioal domain (upstream boundaries) (Q)
b) the Manning coefficient of the computational domain (n)
c) effective slope (required at the upstream boundaries) (S)

The sampling for the three parameters is made by Latin Hypercube technique, assuming for each parameter the following interval:

a) 10000-20000 m^3/s
b) 0.03-0.21 s/m^(1/3)
c) 0.0001 - 0.02

The dataset consists of the following:

1) input_data.csv file, in which the 240 combinations of the three input parameters is provided (Scenario 100 - 399)
2) runs_tous folder, in which files 100.cv-399.csv. Water depth time series are recorded in 21 gauges.
The first column is time (in seconds), and the water dpeths are in meters.

Papers relative to this dataset:

1) Description of the case study:
Alcrudo F and Mulet J (2007). David Bellos’ indirect translation of Ismail Kadare’s The file on H : a contextual analysis

    No full text
This article is a linguistic study of David Bellos’ indirect translation of Ismail Kadare’s The File on H (1997), a novel first published in 1980-1981 in the Albanian literary review Nëntori, and translated into English on the basis of Jusuf Vrioni’s French version, Le Dossier H (1989). Also called "double", "mediated" or "second-hand", indirect translation is an understudied phenomenon, often criticised by scholars because of its greater distance to the original. Cay Dollerup (2000: 23), for example, argues that the grammatical structure of the mediating language (ML) obscures the distinctions made in the source language (SL), and that possible "mistakes" in the ML may be repeated in the target language (TL). Do fidelity and loyalty to the author become weakened in Bellos’ indirect translation? To what extent is such weakening discernible linguistically? And does this particular case of indirect translation reveal notable patterns or recurring types of linguistic shifts between ST and TT? Showing that some of the features specific to Kadare’s Albanian writing are tempered in the doubly-translated English text, yet highlighting that similar shifts occur in the three language directions involved, this article demonstrates that changes between ST and TT may occur in indirect translation regardless of the strategies adopted by MT – thus challenging the hypothesis that linguistic shifts in indirect translation follow a single or consistent pattern

Permanent pacemaker implantation after isolated aortic valve replacement: incidence, risk factors and surgical technical aspects.

Abstract OBJECTIVES: Conducting system defects are common in patients with aortic valve disease. Aortic valve replacement may result in further conduction abnormalities requiring permanent pacemaker implantation. The aim of our study was to identify the incidence and predictors for postoperative 30-day permanent pacemaker implantation in patients undergoing isolated aortic valve replacement, and the effect of an accurate surgical technique in order to prevent permanent pacemaker implantation. METHODS: Data from 261 consecutive patients (mean age 69 +/- 12 years, 136 men) undergoing isolated aortic valve replacement from January 2004 to January 2008 were analyzed retrospectively. Indications for aortic valve replacement were aortic valve stenosis (n = 156), stenoinsufficiency (n = 63), regurgitation (n = 42). Aortic bicuspid valve was present in 25% of cases (n = 64), redo operation was the indication in 7% (n = 18). Preoperative conducting system disease, defined as first-degree atrioventricular block, left or right bundle-branch block or left anterior hemiblock, was present in 25.6% (n = 67) of patients. An accurate surgical technique for debridement of calcific material was performed. RESULTS: In-hospital mortality was 0.8% (2 out of 261 patients). Postoperatively, 8 out of 261 patients (3%) required permanent pacemaker implantation, for second-degree (n = 1) or complete atrioventricular block (n = 7). Incidence of permanent pacemaker implantation was similar for patients either with or without preoperative conducting system disease (25 vs. 25.7%, P = NS). Independent predictors of permanent pacemaker implantation were greater preoperative end-systolic diameter (P = 0.026) and left ventricular septum hypertrophy (P = 0.041). CONCLUSIONS: Need of permanent pacemaker implantation after aortic valve replacement seems to be related more to preoperative advanced aortic valve disease rather than pre-existing conducting system abnormalities. An accurate surgical technique for aortic valve replacement probably helps to prevent further impairment of conducting system function requiring early postoperative permanent pacemaker implantation

Right ventricle mass in a woman discovered after preeclampsia

    No full text
Cardiac masses are discovered occasionally. They are represented by thrombi, vegetations and tumors, primary or metastatic. The most frequent cardiac tumor is myxoma. The coincidence of pregnancy and a primary cardiac tumor is extremely rare. Only a few case reports of heart tumors during pregnancy are presented in the literature. The case of a young woman with the initial echocardiographic diagnosis of right ventricle mass is reported
