A stress-path controlled triaxial apparatus equipped for local measurements of displacements and pore pressures

    No full text
The paper describes a new stress-path controlled triaxial apparatus equipped with internal micro-transducers to capture local axial and radial displacements as well as pore pressure. With this advanced device the soil stiffness may be measured for wide range of strain and further information may be drawn to understand the mechanism leading to rupture of stiff clays and especially of intensely fissured tectonised clay shales
