Water storage efficiency showed the water irrigation that meet crop needeed in terms of water demand in the growing media and the media's ability to hold water. To determine the amount of water retained in the soil, it is necessary to study water storage efficiency in a variety of soil texture were to determine the ability of water storage in loam, clay loam, and sandy loam soil textures. The study was conducted using a completely randomized experimental design (CRD), which consist of three soil texture, i.e. sandy loam, loamy clay, and loam with 5 replications. Data analysis was performed using analysis of variance (ANOVA), Duncan-test, and bar charts. The results showed loam soil texture is the most efficient in holding water. The amount of water that can be held was 11566 mm with 46.3% efficiency storage. Clay loam can hold 9340 mm water with holding efficiency 37.4%, while sandy loam 7786 mm and 31.2%. Having the ability to retain water in the soil texture known, water applied to soil should not exceed the ability of the soil to hold water. If the aplication exceeds the capacity, the water supplied is not efficient

In the rainy season the river water flow is higher than the dry season. The high discharge can cause flood. Flood are the factor that affect the degradation of water quality at the Bedadung river. Clean water supply company in Jember is PDAM. Unit Tegal Gede is one of water treatment installation owned by PDAM Jember. This research aimed to determine the optimum coagulant dosage and standard curves coagulant dosage of alum in water treatment at Unit Tegal Gede PDAM during the rainy season. Variables tested include temperature, pH, and turbidity. Determination dosage of alum used 3 methods namely dosage that used at PDAM Jember, trial and error, and the coagulation floculation procesess. The results of the efficiency decrease at each V a r i a b l e s indicates that turbidity value the most influential to the optimum coagulant dosage. To obtain the value of turbidity and a dosage of optimum processed using a regression equation. The resulting equations the morning was Y = 0.740X + 30.41 with R2 = 0.950 and the afternoon was Y = 0.732X + 30.49 with R2 = 0.980

Installation water treatment located in Jember region managed by the Regional Water Company (PDAM). IPA Tegal Besar was one of water treatment installation owned by PDAM Jember. IPA Tegal Besar was using Poly Aluminium Chloride (PAC) as coagulat. Water treatment processed by coagulation-flocculation. Until now the addition of PAC dosage to raw water in IPA Tegal Besar didn’t used the optimum standard. The aim of this research were determining the optimum PAC dosage and made a standard curve between PAC and the level of water turbidity. Decrease in each parameter were measured by observing at the value of the efficiency of turbidity and pH. Determination optimum dosage of PAC at PDAM Jember used 3 methods namely dosage that used at PDAM Jember, trial and error, and the processed of coagulation-flocculation. Turbidity value and optimum dosage of PAC was processed with simple linear regression to obtain the equations. The equation was y = 0,155x + 17,55 in the morning and y = 0,138x + 20,34 in the afternoons. This equation used as standard curve of PAC in IPA Tegal Besa
