    Optimisation and simplification of fuse link indicator springs

    Indikatorska vzmet talilnega vložka služi indikaciji pregoretja talilnega elementa, ko se ta preobremeni. Indikatorska vzmet je ključni element indikacije, saj poleg samostojne indikacije to prikaže tudi v sodelovanju z mikrostikalom, ki omogoča daljinsko indikacijo. V podjetju se uporablja več tipov indikatorskih vzmeti. V delu smo najprej določili obratovalne pogoje, ki jih določa mikrostikalo. Na podlagi teh smo preverili delovanje indikatorskih vzmeti fizično kot numerično v programu Comsol Multiphysics. Na koncu smo primerjali rezultate simulacij in izmerjenih vrednosti. Spoznali smo, da geometrija uporabljenih vzorcev močno vpliva na rezultate in da smo se z numeričnimi simulacijami približali realnim razmeram.The indicator spring of a fuse link serves as an indication of the fuse element\u27s burnout when it is overloaded. The indicator spring is a key element of the indication, as it shows this not only independently but also in cooperation with a microswitch, which enables remote indication. Several types of indicator springs are used in the company. In this work, we first determined the operating conditions, which are determined by the microswitch. Based on these, we verified the operation of the indicator springs both physically and also numerically by means of the program Comsol Multiphysics. Finally, we compared the results of the simulations with the measured values. We found that the geometry of the samples used has a strong influence on the results and that we were able to approximate close to real conditions with numerical simulations

    Comparison of user involvement between video and virtual environment

    Diplomska naloga obsega primerjavo stopnje vključenosti uporabnika med navidezno resničnostjo in video posnetkom. Eksperiment je bil opravljen na podlagi treh vrst zaznavanja informacij iz vsebine: zaznavanje podrobnosti, velikosti in čustev. Na podlagi rezultatov smo ugotavljali, ali navidezna resničnost omogoča večjo vključenost ter s tem boljšo uporabniško izkušnjo v primerjavi z video posnetkom. V nalogi so opisane tudi sorodne raziskave, ki so že bile izvedene in na katere se opira eksperiment.Thesis includes the lever comparison of user involment between virtual reality and video. The experiment was done on the basis of three sorts of information perception from the content: perception of details, size and emotions. Based on the results we were finding out, if virtual reality enables bigger involment and with that better user experience in comparison with video.     V diplomskem delu je bila implementirana aplikacija za registracijo domen, kontaktov in imenskih strežnikov z uporabo protokola EPP, ki je osnovan na strukturi XML in omogoča komunikacijo med registrom in registrarjem. Aplikacija je bila implementirana v programskem jeziku PHP, s knjižnicami Doctrine v kombinaciji z objektnim skriptnim jezikom JavaScript. Za shranjevanje podatkov smo uporabili sistem za upravljanje s podatkovnimi bazami MySql. Preučili smo obstoječe rešitve in izboljšali uporabniško izkušnjo. Aplikacijo smo razvili ob podpori podjetja T-2 d.o.o., ki nam je omogočilo uporabo njihovih orodij, kot pomoč pri implementaciji.In this diploma the application for registration of domains, contacts and nameservers using the EPP protocol was implemented, which is based on the XML structure and enables communication between the registry and the registrar. The application was implemented in the PHP programming language, with Doctrine libraries combined with the JavaScript object scripting language. We used the MySql database managment system to store data. We examined existing solutions and improved the user experience. We developed the application with the support of T-2 d.o.o., which enabled us to use their tools for easier implemention

Ena izmed rešitev, ki se je razvila, je strojno učenje, ki ima sposobnost reševanja kompleksnih problemov z različnih področij. V diplomskem delu je predstavljeno Kubeflow okolje in tematika, tesno povezana z njim.In these modern times, there is more and more data to help us make better decisions. Different data provide different information and patterns that are relevant for our future. The increasing volume of data has led to the development of a number of solutions to deal with it. One solution that has been developed is machine learning, which has the ability to solve complex problems in a variety of fields.     Razveza zakonske zveze je ena izmed oblik prenehanja zakonske zveze. Nova pravna ureditev razveze zakonske zveze v Družinskem zakoniku ureja tri načine razveze. Sporazumni razvezi zakonske zveze in razvezi zakonske zveze zaradi nevzdržnosti, o katerih odloči sodišče in ki ju je poznal že predhodnik Družinskega zakonika, je dodana možnost sporazumne razveze zakonske zveze pred notarjem. Zakonca se lahko razvežeta pred notarjem le, če nimata skupnih otrok, nad katerimi izvršujeta starševsko skrb in če se uspeta sporazumeti o vseh bistvenih vprašanjih, ki se postavijo ob razvezi. Po razvezi zakonske zveze morata zakonca razdeliti skupno premoženje, v kolikor ga nista že v postopku razveze. Zakonec mora vrniti darila, ki jih je prejel v času trajanja zakonske zveze, če jih drugi zakonec (darovalec) zahteva nazaj in niso bila v sorazmerju z njegovim premoženjskim stanjem. Zakonec ima po razvezi ob določenih pogojih tudi pravico do preživnine in stanovanjskega varstva. Slovenija je z ureditvijo sporazumne razveze zakonske zveze pred notarjem storila pomemben korak k razbremenitvi družinskih sodišč. Podobne ukrepe vidimo tudi v nekaterih drugih evropskih državah.Divorce is one of the forms of marriage dissolution. The new divorce law as regulated in Family Code offers three types of divorce. The uncontested divorce and the contested divorce are two types of divorce where the court makes a final decision. These two types of divorce were already known to the predecessor of the Family Code. There is also a third type. Under certain conditions, spouses can take advantage of the uncontested divorce in front of the notary. This is only possible if they don’t have common children with parental care over them and if they manage to reach a decision as to the terms of the divorce. The spouses need to divide marital property after divorce if they haven’t done that already during the divorce process. One of the spouses must return any gifts given to him by another spouse during the time of their marriage if another spouse wants them back and the gifts that were given were not in proportion to his/her financial situation. If certain conditions are met, spouse also has a right to spousal support and is a subject to matrimonial home right. By uncontested divorce in front of the notary, Slovenia has made an important step towards reducing family courts overload. There are similar actions taken in some other European countries

    SAFETY OF CONDENSATE POLISHING SYSTEM

    V diplomskem delu smo obravnavali obrat čiščenja kondenzata, ki se nahaja v sekundarnem delu Nuklearne elektrarne Krško (NEK). Zaradi kontaminacije vode v posameznih delih procesa je potrebno čiščenje kondenzatne vode. Kemijsko čiščenje kondenzatne vode poteka z uporabo ionskih izmenjevalcev. Regeneracija le-teh poteka v regeneracijskih posodah s prečrpavanjem kemikalij HCl in NaOH iz rezervoarjev. Nezaželeni obratovalni pogoji lahko negativno vplivajo na procesno opremo, jo poškodujejo in povzročijo nevarnost za zaposlene. V delu smo izvedli analizo varnosti procesa regeneracije ionske smole v sistemu za čiščenje kondenzata v NEK. Uporabili smo metodo HAZOP, ki identificira nevarnosti v sistemu. Z izvedbo te študije smo predvideli možne scenarije in opisali njihove posledice. Na tej osnovi smo skonstruirali drevo dogodkov in drevo odpovedi. Slednji predstavljata zaporedja vzrokov in neželenih dogodkov, ki lahko privedejo do nesreč. Ob tem smo izvedli kvantitativno vrednotenje pogostosti nevarnega dogodka. Prikazan je preračun masnega pretoka pri iztekanju nevarne kemikalije NaOH iz rezervoarja.The subject of this diploma thesis is the plant for polishing the condensate water which is located in the secondary part of the Krško Nuclear Power Plant (NEK). It is necessary to clean the condensate water due to its contamination within various parts of the process. Chemical polishing of condensate water is accomplished by using ion exchangers. Regeneration of those is performed in the regenerating tanks by pumping the chemicals HCl and NaOH from the reservoirs. Undesirable operating conditions may negatively affect the process equipment, cause its damage and widespread danger to staff. In this diploma work, the safety analysis of process for ion resins regeneration within the condensate polishing system in the NEK was accomplished. The HAZOP method was used for identification of process hazards. By conducting this study, we have predicted possible scenarios and described their consequences. On the basis of the previous methods, we constructed the event tree and the fault tree. They represented a sequences of causes and negative events that could lead to an accident. A quantitative evaluation of hazardous event frequency was also performed. The mass flow rate of NaOH leaking from the tank was calculated

    Detecting motion intention in stroke survivors using autonomic nervous system responses

    Individuals with severe neurologic injuries often cannot participate in robotic rehabilitation because they do not retain sufficient residual motor control to initiate the robotic assistance. In these situations, brain- and body-computer interfaces have emerged as promising solutions to control robotic devices. In a previous experiment conducted with healthy subjects, we showed that detecting motor execution accurately was possible using only the autonomic nervous system (ANS) response. In this paper, we investigate the feasibility of such a body-machine interface to detect motion intention by monitoring the ANS response in stroke survivors. Four physiological signals were measured (blood pressure, breathing rate, skin conductance response and heart rate) while participants executed and imagined a grasping task with their impaired hand. The physiological signals were then used to train a classifier based on hidden Markov models. We performed an experiment with four chronic stroke survivors to test the effectiveness of the classifier to detect rest, motor execution and motor imagery periods. We found that motion execution can be accurately classified based only on peripheral autonomic signals with an accuracy of 72.4%. The accuracy of classifying motion imagery was 62.4%. Therefore, attempting to move was a more effective strategy than imagining the movement. These results are encouraging to perform further research on the use of the ANS response in body-machine interfaces
