Supercooled Stefan problem with a Neumann type boundary condition
We consider a supercooled one-dimensional Stefan problem with a Neumann boundary condition and a variable thermal diffusivity. We establish a necessary and sufficient condition for the heat flux at the fixed face x=0, in order to obtain existence and uniqueness of a similarity type solution. Moreover we over-specified the fixed face x=0 by a Dirichlet boundary condition aiming at the simultaneous determination of one or two thermal coefficients.Mathematic
Incremental and Fully Dynamic Subgraph Connectivity For Emergency Planning
During the last 10 years it has become popular to study dynamic graph problems in a emergency planning or sensitivity setting: Instead of considering the general fully dynamic problem, we only have to process a single batch update of size d; after the update we have to answer queries.
In this paper, we consider the dynamic subgraph connectivity problem with sensitivity d: We are given a graph of which some vertices are activated and some are deactivated. After that we get a single update in which the states of up to vertices are changed. Then we get a sequence of connectivity queries in the subgraph of activated vertices.
We present the first fully dynamic algorithm for this problem which has an update and query time only slightly worse than the best decremental algorithm. In addition, we present the first incremental algorithm which is tight with respect to the best known conditional lower bound; moreover, the algorithm is simple and we believe it is implementable and efficient in practice
A generalized neumann solution for the two-phase fractional lame-clapeyron-stefan problem
We obtain a generalized Neumann solution for the two-phase fractional Lam´eClapeyron-Stefan problem for a semi-infinite material with constant boundary and initial conditions. In this problem, the two governing equations and a governing condition for the free boundary include a fractional time derivative in the Caputo sense of order 0 < α ≤ 1. When α ↗ 1 we recover the classical Neumann solution for the two-phase Lam´eClapeyron-Stefan problem given through the error functionFil: Roscani, Sabrina Dina. Universidad Nacional de Rosario.
