Variations on the Author
No full text“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship

This article may be used for non-commercial purposes in accordance with Wiley Terms and Conditions for Self-Archiving."[EN] The superconvergent patch recovery technique with constraints (SPR-C) consists in improving the accuracy of the recovered stresses obtained with the original SPR technique by considering known information about the exact solution, like the internal equilibrium equation, the compatibility equation or the Neumann boundary conditions, during the recovery process. In this paper the SPR-C is extended to consider the equilibrium around the contact area when solving contact problems with the Cartesian grid Finite Element Method. Objetivo: Determinar los factores asociados al desarrollo de melasma en mujeres atendidas en la clínica dermatológica Dr. Marlon Navarro en el periodo comprendido entre mayo del 2021 a mayo del 2022. Materiales y métodos: Estudio descriptivo, correlacional de corte transversal en una población de 128 mujeres, en donde se busca determinar la asociación entre diversos factores con el desarrollo del melasma mediante la información clínica y demográfica. Resultados: Se identifico que el rango de edad más frecuente en desarrollar melasma fue entre los 32 a 45 años (73.44%), siendo de procedencia urbana el 95.31%, además se identificó que las gestaciones previas, el tiempo y la distribución de la enfermedad tienen niveles significativos asociativos siendo p_=0.005, p_=0.022 y p_=0.000 respectivamente. Conclusiones: Las gestaciones previas, el tiempo y la distribución de la enfermedad son factores asociados al desarrollo de melasma.Factors associated with the development of melasma in women attended at the dermatological clinic Marlon Navarro - Tarapoto. Materials and methods: Descriptive, cross-sectional, correlational study with a population of 128 women, in which the association between various factors with the development of melasma was determined by means of clinical and demographic information. Results: The most frequent age range in developing melasma was between 32 and 45 years old (73.44%), being 95.31% from urban origin, in addition it was identified that previous pregnancies, time and distribution of the disease have significant levels of association being p_=0.005, p_=0.022 and p_=0.000 respectively. • Esta obra ha recibido una ayuda a la edición del Ministerio de Educación, Cultura y Deporte.Este tercer volumen de las "Obras completas" de Luis Martín-Santos contiene dos novelas, "El vientre hinchado" y "El Saco", parte del legado inédito del escritor. Ambas fueron escritas en la primera mitad de los años 50, cuando predominaba en la literatura española el llamado «realismo social». Las dos comparten algunos elementos con las dos grandes novelas que conocíamos, "Tiempo de silencio" y "Tiempo de destrucción", pero se desarrollan en un modo narrativo diferente, en el que apenas hay referencias temporales y espaciales, alejándose del realismo y adentrándose en la fábula o la ficción alegórica. En los dos relatos predomina una atmósfera primaria y claustrofóbica. "El vientre hinchado" trata de la coexistencia de tres personas, un amo, un criado y una criada, que carecen de nombre y que, en algún lugar indeterminado y aislado, sobreviven precariamente con labores agrarias poco productivas. Al margen de la sociedad, las relaciones de sumisión y los impulsos más elementales se manifiestan en toda su crudeza. El aislamiento en "El Saco" es físico, el que impone el penal donde se desarrolla: en un clima asfixiante, la novela refleja las consecuencias de un incidente violento en la vida penitenciaria de un grupo de reclusos y de los guardas que los vigilan. La oscura trama tiene resonancias kafkianas y sirve de alegoría de cualquier sistema político totalitario. En ambas novelas encontramos relaciones de dominación y violencia, un mundo absurdo desprovisto de esperanza y unos seres humanos que desconocen la libertad.
