His first book, Calling a Wolf a Wolf, is just out with Alice James in the US and Penguin in the UK. He is also the author of the chapbook Portrait of the Alcoholic. The recipient of a Pushcart Prize, a Ruth Lilly and Dorothy Sargent Fellowship from the Poetry Foundation, and the Lucille Medwick Memorial Award from the Poetry Society of America, Akbar was born in Tehran, Iran, and teaches in the MFA program at Purdue University and in the low-residency MFA programs at Randolph College

Chamilo LMS Research Trend
No full textChamilo is an open-source Learning Management System that is rarely known by campus communities in Indonesia, even though this LMS has been published for quite some time. Very little research is related to Chamilo compared to other LMS such as Moodle. This study will examine research trends over the past ten years using the Systematic Literature Review method. The subjects studied were taken from the Dimension and Scopus databases. The tools used are VoS Viewer and Mendeley software. The unit of analysis used is the "co-author," which is studied deductively. In addition, the type of "co-occurrence" is also used to see the keywords that are most often used in research. The research results showed that 69% of all articles were from Indonesia. The type of development research also dominates articles originating from Indonesia. The most dominant keyword besides Chamilo itself is e-learning. Several research keywords that are not included in the occurrence analysis unit have the potential to be studied

Akbar II as Pretender: A Study in Anarchy
No full textAkbar Shāh, son of the Mughal emperor Shāh 'Ālam II, was elevated to the throne of Delhi as pretender eighteen years previous to his accession as Akbar II, and money was struck in his name. The addition of another claimant to the dynastic list was communicated in a joint paper by Mr. S. H. Hodivala and myself, which appeared in the Journal of the Asiatic Society of Bengal for the year 1922, and to which I invite reference. I had found a copper coin of Aḥmadābād mint bearing the name of Akbar Shāh and date A.H. 1203, which made me conjecture whether Ghulām Qādir Khān, the “unspeakable Rohilla”, raised another prince to the Mughal throne after the puppet Bedār Bakht (A.H. 1202–3), who might or might not be identical with the Akbar Shāh, eldest surviving son of Shāh 'Ālam II, who succeeded his father in the regular way as Akbar II in the year A.H.. 1221 (A.D. 1806). I put the matter to Mr. Hodivala, a leading authority on Mughal history, and his reply was that “it has not yet been possible to find an absolutely complete and satisfactory solution of the problem connected with the Akbar Shāh coins of A.H. 1203, but there would seem to be fairly good grounds for answering the question in the affirmative”. The fullest account of the transactions which led to the deposition and blinding of Shāh 'Ālam II is in the 'Ibratnāmah (Book of Warning) of Faqīr Khairu-d-dīn Muḥammad, but this work closes soon after recounting the terrible cruelties practised on the Emperor Shāh 'Ālam and his family by the infamous Ghulām Qādir, whose atrocities the author describes at length.</jats:p

Akbar nasceu na cidade de Teerã, no Irã, em 1989 e na infância mudou para os Estados Unidos, onde vive até hoje. Neste trabalho, articulo a sua biografia de deslocamento com a sua produção literária, dentro dos limites da autoficção. Ademais, proponho uma análise aprofundada de como os temas, estipulados aqui como centrais na sua obra, "linguagem", "religião" e "memória", aparecem e se entrelaçam ao longo da sua produção poética. Também conecto a literatura de Akbar e sua trajetória biográfica com a discussão acerca da "literatura sem morada fixa", teorizada por Ottmar Ette (2018), problematizando assim as questões da literatura contemporânea e das suas fronteiras. E, por último, apresento a tradução de 23 poemas retirados de seus dois livros, a fim de possibilitar ainda mais a discussão sobre a sua obra poética, que é recente e, apesar de ter obtido grande destaque no cenário literário norte-americano, permanece pouco conhecida e não tinha sido, até o momento, traduzida no BrasilAbstract: This research aims to critically analyse the poetic production of the contemporary American-Iranian writer Kaveh Akbar. He is the author of two poetry books, Calling a Wolf a Wolf (2017) and Pilgrim Bell (2021). Akbar was born in Tehran, Iran, in 1989, and moved to the United States as a child, where he currently lives. In this research, I articulate his biography with his literary production, within the limits of autofiction. Also, I conduct a detailed analysis of how the three themes, defined here as the main themes in his poetry books, "language", "religion" and "memory", appear and are intertwined throughout his work. I also connect Akbar's literature and his biographical trajectory with the discussion about "literatures without a fixed abode", theorized by Ottmar Ette (2018), thus problematizing the issues of contemporary literature and its borders. And, finally, this dissertation presents my translation of 23 poems taken from Akbar's two books into Portuguese, in order to shine a light on his work and bring the discussion about it to Brazil. Alat evaluasi ini bisa digunakan secara offline maupun online. Untuk mencapai tujuan itu digunakan model Plomp yang terdiri dari empat tahapan yaitu: fase investigasi awal, fase desain, fase realisasi/konstruksi, fase test, evaluasi dan revisi. Sebelum mengkostruksi instrumen evaluasi dalam bentuk aplikasi, butir-butir soal divalidasi oleh dua orang pakar materi. Butir soal yang valid itulah yang diimport kedalam software Wondershare Quiz Creator untuk menciptakan sebuah prototipe instrumen evaluasi. Prototipe ini kemudian diujicobakan ke mahasiswa secara terbatas untuk melihat kepraktisan penggunaan aplikasi sekaligus menjadi alat evaluasi bagi penelti. Produk terkahir yang dihasilkan merupakan instrumen evaluasi yang valid dan praktis serta dapat digunakan untuk mengukur kemampuan pemahaman konsep Kalkulus Mahasiswa.ABSTRACTThis research aims to create a computer-based evaluation tool that could be used to measure students\u27 understanding of the Calculus concept. This evaluation tool could be used offline or online. We use Plomp\u27s model, which consists of four phases: the initial investigation phase, the design phase, the realization/construction phase, the test phase, evaluation, and revision. Before constructing the evaluation instruments in the application form, the items were validated by two material experts. Those valid items were imported into the Wondershare Quiz Creator software to create a prototype evaluation instrument. This prototype was then trialled to students on a limited basis to see the practicality of using the application as well as being an evaluation tool for researchers. The latest product produced was a valid and reliable evaluation instrument and was appropriate to be used to measure the ability to understand the concept of Student Calculus

Sebelum terjun ke lapangan, Tim PKM melakukan observasi di sekolah setempat dan melakukan wawancara dengan kepala sekolah tentang pembinaan apa saja yang diperlukan oleh guru-guru sekolah dalam rangka meningkatkan kemampuan diri mereka. Pelatihan pembuatan soal menggunakan software khusus ini merupakan salah satu dari beberapa hal yang dibutuhkan oleh pihak sekolah. Kegiatan yang dilaksanakan berlangsung sangat baik karena para peserta sangat antusias dengan apa yang kami berikan. Dari seluruh peserta yang hadir 16,67% yang sangat paham dan sisanya 83,33% semuanya paham. Hasil nyata yang diperoleh setelah melakukan kegiatan pengabdian yaitu salah satu dari beberapa guru sekolah langsung menerapkan hasil pelatihan kepada siswa SMP untuk ujian tengah semester

Get PDFThe purpose of this study is to explain the procedure for making online questions using the jeruq.com website and describe the advantages and disadvantages of the question maker website. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The instruments used in collecting data were exam questions made using the jeruq.com website, interview guidelines, and most importantly the researchers themselves. Based on the results of trials and interviews conducted, several results were obtained including: (1) The fraud detector in the system has not functioned optimally, especially if the exam uses a smartphone. (2) In order for the conclusions in the item analysis to be more precise, the number of answer items in each item must be the same as the number in the system. The final conclusion obtained is that this website is very helpful for teachers or lecturers who want to make online exam questions quickly
