No full textHemodialysis is a method of dialysis therapy that is used to removes fluids and waste products from the body when acutely or progressively the kidneys are unable to carry out the process. The purpose of this study was to explain the relationship between knowledge and motivation in patients undergoing hemodialysis at the RSU. Royal Prima Medan. This research is a correlation with a cross-sectional approach. The population is 63 people, the sampling technique is the total sampling technique, so the sample is 63 respondents. The data of analysis using chi-square test. Based on the results obtained significant value (2-sided) of 0.026, Ha is accepted, meaning there is a relationship between knowledge and motivation in hemodialysis patients. The results of the study on respondents' knowledge obtained that the majority had good knowledge as many as 8 people (12.7%), 26 people (41.3%), and 29 people (46%). This study concludes that there is a significant relationship between knowledge and motivation in hemodialysis patients.

No full textTeam nursing care method is the activity of giving nursing care to a group of patients led by a team leader having a higher competency compared to other team members. This professional nursing team method needs to be applied that it is able to improve the quality of patient care as well as nurwing working satisfaction. The research aimed at finding out the relationship between team nursing care method and nurse working satisfaction at RSUP H. Adam Malik Medan by descriptive correlation using cross sectional design. The samples of this research were 75 practitioner nurses at inwards. The relationship between team nursing care method and nurse working satisfaction was tested using Chi-Square and Alpha 0.05. This research found that the description of team nursing care method in a Good category was 73,3%, nurse working satisfaction in the category of 'satisfied' was 62,7%. Based on the statistical test, it was found that there is a relationship between team nursing care method and nurse working satislaction (p<0.05). The management of RSUP H. Adam Malik Medan is expected to facilitate and improve team nursing care method that it can run optimally as stated in the guideline of team nursing care.122 HalamanTesis Magiste

No full textDeep breathing relaxation therapy can reduce blood pressure both systolic and diastolic pressure. Relaxation therapy diaphragm breathing techniques are very well done every day by people with high blood pressure to help relax blood vessel muscles so that the elasticity of the arteries that help lower blood pressure can be maintained. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effectiveness of breath therapy in reducing blood pressure in hypertensive patients at Royal Prima Hospital Medan. This is a quasi-expression research with cross sectional research design. The research populations were the average number of hypertensive patients at Royal Prima Hospital Medan in consisting of 73 people. The 22 samples were drawn using the accidental sampling technique. The results of the study on blood pressure variables before respiratory therapy showed that 15 people (68.2%) had normal blood pressure. Variable blood pressure after therapy breath in revealed that 15 people (68.2%) in normal condition were of 1 people (4.5%) and on weight was 6 people (27.3%). The results of the t test Test with a correlation of 0.001 or 0.1% with a significance value of 0.1% <5%, means that there is effects of deep breath therapy on decreasing blood pressure in patients with hypertension. The respondents are expected to apply breath therapy in well and regularly every day so that there is a drop in blood pressure to the normal level in hypertensive patients

The effect of ROM on Ischemic Stroke Patients on Muscle Strength Enhancement Royal Prima Hospital in 2018. This is a descriptive analytic research with case control design where both variables were tested simulataneously to determine the relationship between the two using test data analysis Wilcoxon. This research was conducted on 6-11 June 2018, using primary data. The population in this study were all who did ROM exercises who experienced an ischemic stroke at the RSU. Royal Prima Medan and the patients were treated with saturated sampling technique. the number of samples in this study were 5 people. There is a significant relation between ROM and muscle power on ischemic stroke patients at Royal Prima Hospital Medan in 2018 with a p-value of 0.059. The study concludes that there is an effect of ROM on increasing muscle strength of stroke patients at Royal Prima hospital Medan in 2018. The major problem of the problem of the disease is that it causes physical disability if not treated quickly and the disease can change lifestyle well by doing physical exercise regularly

Breast care regularly to detect breast abnormalities. Immediately perform breast examination if you feel less comfortable in the breast. Immediate treatment will provide hope for better recovery and life expectancy in breast cancer in detected early on. The purpose of this research is to identify correlation between mother’s knowledge and prevention of Ca Mamae at Tambunan Heath Center Working Area of Tandang Buhit Healt Unit of Balige District, Toba Samosir Regeancy in 2017. This type of research is an analytic survey with cross sectional design. The population in this research is all the mother who come check their health in work area Puskesmas Tandang Buhit Unit of Balige District as many as 38 people. The sampling technique in this research is determined by total sampling technique as many 38 people. The result of chi square test based on the degree of significance was (α) = 0,05 and df = 1 and the calculation result showed that X2 count 13,246 > X2 table 3,841. It can be conclude Ho was rejected. Ha was accepted. The conclusion of the research stated that there is a correlation between mother’s knowledge with prevention od Ca mamae at Tambunan Heath Center Working Area of Tandang Buhit Healt Unit of Balige District, Toba Samosir Regeancy in 2017. It is expected that respondents can be oped and apply healthy lifestyle, health diet, avoid alcohol and stress as an efford to prevent breast cancer.
 
PEMASANGAN KATETER DENGAN KEJADIAN INFEKSI SALURAN KEMIH PADA PASIEN DI RUANG RAWAT INAP
No full textUrinary tract infection (UTI) is a result of the development of microorganisms in the urinary tract, which in normal conditions do not contain bacteria, viruses, or other microorganisms. Urinary tract infections are also infections that occupy the second position that most often attacks the body after respiratory infections. The objective of the study was to identify the relationship between catheter placement and the incidence of urinary tract infections at Royal Prima hospital Medan. This is a correlation study (correlation study) on the patients suffering from urinary tract infections. The sampling technique used was a saturated sampling technique. Analysis research data using the Spearmen test. Based on the results of the study, it was found that the majority of catheter installation was in the category of good were 78%, and in the category of not good 22%, and 78% suffered from do not experience urinary tract infections, and 22% infection urinary tract. The results of the study of the Spearmen test showed that p-value = 0.00. It was found that there was a relationship between catheter insertion and the incidence of urinary tract infections in the inpatient room. The local nurses are suggested to improve the aseptic technique of care performed when catheterization is performed so that the incidence of urinary tract infections due to catheter installation can be avoided

The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the role of nurses in conducting health promotion on the people with hypertension in the work area of Tandang Buhit Health Unit of Balige District, Toba Samosir Regeancy in 2017. This type of research is an analytic survey with cross sectional design. The population in this research is all patients hypertension in Puskesmas Tandang Buhit Unit of Balige District as many as 42 people. The sampling technique in this research is determined by total sampling technique as many 42 people. The result of chi square test based on the degree of significance was (α) = 0,05 and df = 1 and the calculation result showed that X2 count 9,732 > X2 table 3,841. It can be conclude Ho was rejected. Ha was accepted. The conclusion from the research stated that there is a correlation between mother’s knowledge that the relation of effectiveness of the role of nurses in conducting health promotion on the people with hypertension in the work area of Tandang Buhit Health Unit of Balige District, Toba Samosir Regeancy in 2017. No full textPHBS is an effort to provide learning experiences for individuals, families, groups and communities, by opening communication channels, providing information and conducting education, in order to improve knowledge, attitudes and behaviors, through the approach of Advocacy, Social Support and Community Movement (Empowerment) so as to implement healthy ways of living, in order to maintain, maintain and improve public health (Depkes RI, 2011). Methods used in activities through a series of stages include counseling / education, training, and mentoring. The community was formed through several activities, namely: coordinating with rt management, education, and community leaders to provide health services about hospitalization, provide health education about PHBS, provide rewards for mothers, provide door prizes after maternal health care activities, reward cadres. Many factors influence clean and healthy living behaviors such as habits in the home, community environment, schools, teachers who do not set examples or demonstrate and the child himself. The results were achieved after following the counseling and discussion of the fishing village community as well as knowing how to live with Clean and Healthy Living Behavior (PHBS)
The Relationship between Nurse Workload and Nurse Stress Level in Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
No full textStress is generally being experienced by most of the nurses due to the duration of working hours and the number of patients. The high workload of nurses often results in fatigue, loss of concentration at work, the ability to remember information is very limited, being emotional and apathetic. This research is an analytic survey, with cross-sectional design in which the independent and dependent variables were examined simultaneously to determine the relationship between the nurse workload and stress level of nurses in the ICU wards of Dr. Pirngadi Regional General Hospital. This study uses primary data which were obtained by using questionnaires and secondary data were obtained from the medical record, with questionnaire instruments. The entire population were nurses in the ICU wards and samples in this study consisted of 24 nurses taken by total sampling technique. Based on the results of the chi square test at work variable, it is found that the X2 count 3.154, which means there is not any relationship between working hours and the level of stress of nurses working in the ICU, and the variable of the number of patients X2 count 6,446 which means there is a relationship between number of patients with stress level for nurses in the ICU wards.The study's findings indicate that while there is a correlation between the number of patients and nurses' stress levels in the General Hospital's intensive care unit wards, there is no correlation between working hours and nurses' stress levels

No full textChronic renal failure or late-stage renal disease is a progressive and irreversible disorder of renal function (the body fails in maintaining metabolism and balance of fluids and electrolytes), thereby causing uremia (retention of urea and other nitrogen waste in the blood). Treatment of kidney failure disease can be done by pharmacological and non-pharmacological means. Non-pharmacological treatment can be in the form of the provision of instrumental music. This study aims to find out the influence of instrumental music on quality of life in chronic kidney failure patients undergoing hemodialysis at the Royal Prima Hospital Medan. This type of research is pre-experimental research with a one-group pre-post-test design with the provision of instrumental music for 20 minutes. The population is 66 people and sampled as many as 20 people with accidental sampling techniques. The analysis used in using Wilcoxon test. Based on the calculation of the Wilcoxon signed-rank test, obtained Z= - 3,938 with (p=0.000) < 0.05, so it can be concluded that there is an instrumental music influence on the quality of life in chronic renal failure patients undergoing hemodialysis at Royal Prima Medan Hospital in 2018. It is recommended that instrumental music can be applied as an alternative therapy to improve the quality of life
