Monuments of old Russian lexicography in the manuscript of Prokhor Kolomnyatin
The article describes the monuments of Old Russian lexicography recorded in a manuscript created in 1668 by monk Prokhor Kolomnyatin, a Russian teacher and lexicographer. The dictionary “Tolkovanie o psaltyrnykh slovesekh” (‘Interpretation of the Psalms’), following a well-known tradition represented by numerous copies, could have been borrowed by the author from the Moscow edition of the Psaltyr of 1641. The dictionary “Latinskie rechi” (‘Latin Words’) is a translation of the Latin-Greek dictionary attributed to Matthew Blastares and included in his “Sintagma” (‘Syntagma’); one of the Slavic copies of this book served as a source for a Latin dictionary in the manuscript of 1668. The third text, “Perevodnye rechi s grecheskogo yazyka na slovenskii” (‘Translated Words from Greek into Slovenian’), is a Greek-Russian dictionary which is built on a thematic principle. This monument is based on the materials of the azbukovniks (‘alphabet books’), as well as the words and phrases of “Rech’ tonkosloviya grecheskogo” (‘Words of Greek Subtlety’), which were borrowed by Prokhor Kolomnyatin from “Vtoroi azbukovnik” (‘The Second Alphabet Book’). In the division of the lexical material into thematic groups, one can assume the influence of the works of Jan Amos Comenius. Although the work on compiling the Greek-Russian dictionary remained unfinished, it was the principle of its construction that served as a model for the recording of three new phrasebook dictionaries created by Prokhor Kolomnyatin

Connecting instructional and cognitive aspects of an LE: A study of the global seminar project
My research problem is based on the lack of unifying conceptual cohesion between the discourses concerning cognitive and instructional aspects of learning environments (LE). I contrast that lack with practical developments of LE studies connected at the level of practical implementation and evaluation. Next, I briefly review the LE boundaries, which are established within cognitive and instructional domains of LE research. This study aims to bring the aforementioned discourses together via reconsidering and clarifying LE conceptual understandings. Using the case of a global seminar project (GSP), my goal is to define an LE as a conceptual phenomenon and a practical model with the two objectives of determining the GSP's components that establish the course in a context of higher education; and the GSP's specific contributions to deep learning. Within a qualitative research framework, I used three forms of data collection: 20 open-ended interviews of the GSP instructors; 11 direct observations of the GSP classroom; and the GSP's written documents and artifacts. Noting the contextual significance of the suggested LE framework that resulted from this study, I propose a definition of an LE as a conceptual phenomenon and educational model. Here, I introduce the key understandings of an LE and outline its significance based on a broader analysis of the results. I conclude with an interpretation of the results and potential limitations of my approach. © 2012 The Author(s).published_or_final_versionSpringer Open Choice, 28 May 201

Talent management
Developing the talents of the organization's employees is becoming an increasingly important component for the formation of the organization's competitive advantages since it is aimed at attracting and retaining high-quality specialists. The concept of talent can be described as a multifaceted phenomenon, including person's abilities acquired from birth, skills obtained throughout life, and involvement in a favorite type of occupation. The article describes the main ways to identify employees' talents, such as: "Tricky questions", "Matrix for determining talent", and analysis of employee's personal life. The author recommends paying special attention to the context and examples of difficult situations from the employee’s work activities, the made-up decisions in these conditions, as well as to analyze the most successfully mastered areas. The author also identifies key positions regarding the motivation of talent development and emphasizes that the main driving force in creative activity is not monetary remuneration or evaluation of human efforts but opportunities for employees to show an aptitude to research, learn and develop. As a result of analyzing the experience of talent management in the public service of the city of Singapore, the article highlights such methods of working with talented employees as allocating working time for training, staff rotation, participation in interstructural project teams, and mentoring. Also, the author considers the trend of introduction and use of artificial intelligence in the organization’s activities and its impact on the work of talented employees. It allows automating routine work and creating conditions for shifting the focus of employees to work creatively
Sustainability discourses in different cultural contexts: curse or blessing?
Although a Western discourse of sustainability has been widely implemented in university systems, its main principles do not fully resonate with localized ecological frameworks which ground Asian education. These ancient cosmo-anthropic ecological frameworks preceded Western ecology in its conceptualizations of nature-to-human relationships, and they have been dominating Asian educational traditions for many centuries. Do these frameworks aid or prevent a global spread of sustainability into Asian educational systems? In her comparative case study, the author answers this question by revisiting Asian ecological discourse of Neo- Confucianism and explaining how ignorance to culturally-specific ecological frameworks might minimize or maximize a widespread entry of western sustainability into non-western higher education systems. The author uses an example of the Global Seminar project to uncover tenets of localized tradition, explain innovative specifics of curricular implementation, and propose organic contributions to global sustainability discourse
Coaching as a Tool for the Development Team
The article reveals the term team coaching, specifies the purposes of its application, which include support and activation of the process of creating a new team, improving the efficiency of the existing team, achieving a significant positive effect from the introduction of new approaches and tools in the management of the organization. The author showed the difference between this tool, group coaching and facilitation. In the first case, the specificity is due to differences between the team and the group. In the second case, we are talking about differences in the algorithm of conducting a coach session, the use of specific tools, the role of specialists in working with the team, the duration of interaction with it, the required level of trust and the ratio of the planned and achieved results. It should be noted that the role and purpose of coaching varies depending on the stage of team formation: from clarifying expectations of all participants and common goals to developing an atmosphere of cooperation and trust, forming norms and rules of interaction, new directions of development, evaluation of the results of collaboration. The practice of team coaching in Russian companies has shown that this tool is particularly effective in retaining talented employees and strengthening the involvement of staff in the corporate activities

Computer Package of Metasubject Results Valuation Techniques in Elementary School
The new Federal state educational standards define requirements for metasubject results of primary schooling. For their assessment, diagnostic package and test methods were developed in Psychological Institute of Russian Academy of Education and Moscow State University of Psychology and Education. A computer version of this package is provided. It includes techniques "Permutations" (author A.Z. Zak), "Calendar" (authors G.A. Zuckerman and O.L. Obukhova), "Quests of Mathematics" (authors S.F. Gorbov, O.V. Savelyeva, N.L. Tabachnikova), "Preparation of the text" (author Z.N. Novlyanskaya). The computer package helps to evaluate main metasubject results related to the development of thinking and mastery of the tools of learning activity. Two additional methods ("Children’s tasks" by G.A. Zuckerman and "Tips" by E.V. Chudinova) are focused on the diagnosis of formation of the ability to learn. Using computer tools allow schools to quickly diagnose the results of primary school education, to identify its strengths and weaknesses, prepare correction programs
