Relevance Of Scale Breaking Terms In Large P(t) Calorimeter Measurements
We discuss the role of multiple parton scattering subprocesses in the context of large-calorimeter experiments on large-p T jet production in hadronic collisions. We find that these processes can give appreciable effects even at the largest presently observed transverse energies
Multi - Quark Scattering And Large P(t) Jet Production In Hadronic Collisions
The role of multiple quark scattering subprocesses in large-p T jet production from high-energy hadron-hadron collisions is discussed. In particular, the connection with multiconstituent distributions is emphasized
Multiple Parton Interactions And Multi - Jet Events At Collider And Tevatron Energies
We discuss the role of multiple parton collisions giving rise to three and four large pT jets in high energy pView the MathML source reactions. We find that these effects can be observable at the CERN collider, and that they appreciably increase with increasing CMS energy
Properties Of The Meson System And Chiral Symmetry Breaking Parameters From Quantum Chromodynamics
Some QCD-inspired spectral function sum rules are discussed, in view of the most recent experimental results on scalar and pseudoscalar mesons. Estimates are performed of the weak-decay amplitudes of 0− radial excitations, of the current quark mass ratiom g/md and of the quark vacuum condensate ratio á[`(y)] s ys ñ/á[`(y)] u yu ñ\langle \bar \psi _s \psi _s \rangle /\langle \bar \psi _u \psi _u \rangle
Single And Double Scattering In High P(t) Hadron Production On Deuteron Near The Kinematical Limit
The behavior of single and double parton scattering is discussed with particular attention to the kinematical regions close to the phase space limits
Light Quark Mass Differences In Quantum Chromodynamics
We discuss the quark mass differences ms−mu and md−mu in the framework of the Laplace-type sum rules associated to the correlation functions of vector current divergences
Role Of The Qcd Induced Gluon - Gluon Coupling To Gauge Boson Pairs In The Multi - Tev Region
We discuss the production of γγ and Z0γ pairs induced by the gluon-gluon fusion mechanism at typical supercollider energies. Due to the large flux of gluons with small fractional momenta, it is found that in certain kinematical configurations this subprocess, although of order (αs/π)2 with respect to the leading quark annihilation, can give an appreciable contribution to the cross section for Z0γ production and even a larger one for the γγ production
